1. Not for discretionary CC spending out of the annual GPC budget. We usually snag a couple nice monitors with end of year funds.

  2. Yes for everything IT that isn’t covered by an IDIQ, but actually monitors ARE covered by the CCS-3 IDIQ. Been about two years since I was buying them but 32” curved monitors were available.

  3. The majority of senior enlisted bios I’ve seen only had current DOR on them

  4. If you fly these on the ROK, please know that my 1.5-year-old waves to you every pass you make when you do touch-and-go’s.

  5. In Smartabase. There’s an Exemption Reporting section where you can provide information on when and why you can’t contribute data during a specific time.

  6. There’s an extension reason for “care due to pregnancy” (Rule 10), but it’s only delivery date plus 2 months which is your DoS anyway. Next best bet (without any other reasons to extend like an assignment) is Rule 28c, personal convenience. FTA with a CJR can extend for 12 months if it is the first extension of the enlistment and Second Term/Career can extend for up to 24 months only one time per enlistment. Note that this must be your first extension for this enlistment, and only 1 of these extensions per enlistment is permitted. Edited upon further review.

  7. Looks like I blended the restrictions - must be the first extension for FTA, can’t do more than 1 of these for Second/Career.

  8. The direct URL is webmail.apps.mil, but as others have said office.com will redirect to the right domain if you input your government email.

  9. We did. No one claimed her. My neighbor is taking her in. She is taking her to the vet tomorrow

  10. Vet will probably scan for a microchip as part of their standard procedure but have your friend ask for it to make sure. I found a dog on Peterson a while back and was able to reunite it with its owner using the microchip registration. If the previous owner truly has abandoned it, the microchip registration will be good evidence.

  11. Throwing my hat in the ring for Dakota State University. Bachelor’s in Cyber Operations for the cyber side (NSA Cyber Center of Excellence accredited) or Network & Security Administration for the IT side. Or both!

  12. IIRC the VA website says it can’t be used for PPL but can be used for the things after PPL (off the top of my head: multi engine, complex, type, and I think one more). The thinking is that the GI Bill isn’t meant to pay for hobbies but will pay for the things that tend towards employment.

  13. The PFA is just the traditional Air Force PT test?

  14. Yes. I believe the intent is to remove the restriction on the new components as well so that Guardians can shuttle run, hand release push up, etc.

  15. When did the intent change from the HHA being our primary means of tracking fitness to bring an opt-in study?

  16. I’m just honest with them and tell them I do highly classified janitorial work. What I normally sweep is considered G14 Classified 🥹🤫

  17. "Fly satellites, missile warning, signal jamming, cyber warfare, intel stuff, etc..."

  18. This. You can go in order of the SpOC Deltas - keep track of everything in space and warn of collisions, jamming and counter-jamming, missile warning (I like to cite 2 SWS’s success at Al Asad here), secure our capabilities through cyberspace, figure out what the enemy can do and what they will do in a space fight, GPS and satellite communications, and fly a really cool space plane that the Chinese want to copy.

  19. Last I saw (info is about two month old), DEL 3 wasn’t getting it’s own 63rd CYS from DEL 6; 69th is meant to cover down on SEW with a detachment or second FMA-C/MDT capability. The sixth CYS (before DEL 15 went and did its own thing and made a seventh) is the 65th.

  20. Whenever you next need retainability, or within a year of your new DOS if you’re reenlisting just because.

  21. But I would like to reenlist for the assignment and not extend for the assignment. It’s a bit confusing to me

  22. I’m sorry but you can’t reenlist until you have a new reason to. You extended for this assignment, and you cannot cancel an extension for an assignment just to reenlist for an SRB

  23. Is this saying that, where a position previously required someone that had CISSP, an Associate’s degree now qualifies that person to be an ISSM in the DoD?

  24. I hate to recommend WGU for personal reasons, but if you’re trying to get your degree before you cross train (which is an ambitious goal) then WGU will be the best bang for your buck as tuition is semester-based rather than credit-based. You’ll still pay some out of pocket, but that’s probably the only way to get 120 credits in <3 years.

  25. For me, I would have loved Combat Aviation Advisor (RIP in pepperinos), Strategic Airlift Wing (NATO C-17s in Hungary), or the 497th CTF/CTS (Singapore). Now I’m hoping for anything but a Lunar posting…

  26. Before anyone else is confused, the Deltas are in number order rather than under their FLDCOM.

  27. We’ve asked for a tool kit to help folks navigate this and for explanations on some of these nuances. We will figure it out and give everyone the best guidance we can. Policy this complex never gets the details right in the first salvo. Keep giving feedback.

  28. If you have questions, I can answer. Ive been chilling looking at this policy for a hot ass minute.

  29. If I took 42/42 days of leave (you know, because Caregiver Leave has to be taken all at the same time) that ended 26 Dec 2022, do I have 6 more weeks of Parental Leave or no?

  30. Those support roles will be going away soooo why not put the culture in place now?

  31. Isn’t there still ongoing debate on this topic? I was under the impression that the future of Missions Comms is up in the air.

  32. DEL 18 is under SpOC, at least until we report on whether NSIC should be a FOA/DRU until S2. And I don’t know if DEL 15 officially exists yet, but that is/will be under SpOC as well.

  33. it's for my own devices just to keep them a bit secured when connecting to public networks while traveling.

  34. Ah, then sorry, no recommendations that meet your requirements. I’ve got a Firewalla Gold on my home network and Firewalla just released a WiFi accessory, so that would be what I would do if trying to accomplish the same objectives.

  35. Is this to VPN back to AFNet in the same way that the current desktop clients do, so you’re reducing configuration time and increasing convenience for the user(s)? If so, my recommendation would be to stay with the desktop clients. Yes its more time and less convenient, but VPNing from the clients will be more secure overall as the traffic from device to router isn’t tunnelled/secured by the same encryption if you VPN from the router. Also (and I admit this part may just be a minor paperwork drill), the clients are managed (configured and updated) and authorized by another entity whereas you would need to manage your router and get it either ATC’d/ATO’d itself or added to an existing ATO, both of which Wing Cybersecurity may scoff at.

  36. Dakota State University. They’ve got a “lighter weight” AU-ABC program as well as more robust IT and cyber programs (which are NSA Center of Excellence accredited). Military tuition matches TA.

  37. Do you like it when I make Space Ranger jokes? It’s out of love, but if it’s not we’ll received then I’m happy to keep it to myself.
