1. I would just resubmit unless they claimed it was counterfeit.

  2. They said my account could face limitations if I try relisting :(

  3. Oh for sure. He "listed 10 items and didn't source more until he sold them" to emulate us poors just starting out.

  4. I have an axe to grind personally but I cannot deny he is successful. I can say that what is being taught vs what they actually do aren’t the same. I can also say a lot of successful people are in that group who do actually resell at a high but it’s a very small amount.

  5. I mean for sure for sure. But he sure as hell didn't do it only listing 10 $20 , items a day, and didn't sell everything within 90 days.

  6. Well it’s hard to tell people that you don’t follow the model that you tell others to do as well as you don’t ave an account for the platform you tell others to sell on. 😬

  7. Sell through rate is something that has variable utility depending on your business model. It is fairly critical if you are planning on selling relatively low price/margin items. In order to make your business viable you will need to crush high volumes to accumulate enough profit. To ensure high volumes, you need product categories that are moving briskly with a high sell through rate.

  8. All of this is true. People do not understand proper sales channels as well as sourcing channels. Buying an item with a low sell through rate isn’t wrong if you have the right sales channel for it.

  9. You can't go naked most places without getting arrested.....

  10. Lol and the cost of a pair of jeans right now brand new is something like $100 bucks at most mall brand stores.

  11. Was that a long time ago, though? Because I hear seasoned ebayers talk about contacting customer service on the phone, but I can't for the life of me find a contact number. It's all a maze of canned answers and automated system replies. Do you have a phone number?

  12. There are several ways to do it. eBay for business. You can also do o line support and then ask to speak to a rep.

  13. Woohoo, it took some time to find it, but I did manage to get a live person on a chat, and they increased me from 35 to 100 items and from 500 to 5000 bucks as an exception.

  14. I knew you could do it!!! They will keep raising your limits rather quickly. Make sure you find items that have a quick sell through rate lol

  15. I'm not sure how long you have been on eBay for but the platform in riddled with these sort of bugs.

  16. I would say of course you could ask for more pics if he actually wants to make a sale. I wouldn't hold your breath on him actually doing that though.

  17. This is a spin on medical and legal transcribing. I can tell you doctors and lawyers pay a lot of money to get this sort of work done.

  18. Haven't even thought of that, but aren't most businesses today having their own systems in place for this work? Receipts should always be connected with accounting in one form or another.

  19. Sure they do. But someone’s got to manually scan receipts and it’s tedious work.

  20. Why not just discuss it openly? Let’s here all the ins and outs of the model. I’m sure If it is sound people would naturally message you for the opportunity

  21. I have an audio guestbook rental service for weddings. That's basically both offline and online. You need cca. $1500 to start with a ROI in just 3-5 events. Happy to share more info if you are interested.

  22. “No rocket surgery” might be the best line this week!

  23. The people who would most likely be interested in this service would be people who couldn’t get a phone.

  24. I would get a sign on your car that says “Taxi”. I would go to all the hotels in the one to two hour radius of the event and get them to let you drop your cards. I would also go into any communities around the sporting event and see if you could get pre orders to taxi people around that day/week. You could also sell “guides” to people in that community to people who are out of the area. What are the best restaurants/hotels etc.

  25. Seems like you would want a more “national” approach. Most people are moving across town but you could market this to people who are moving several hours away. You could go even more niche with this and specialize in cross country moving. You could write a ton of content specifically about all the ins and outs of a long haul move.

  26. I would keep it simple. Where does your target customer hang out? Go into that community and be active.

  27. I hate to say this because you seem to want to help your country but it sounds like a business around helping people leave the country might have merit. You could start a general travel business that specializes in permanent relocations.

  28. Coffee isn’t that expensive. You really want them to take their coffee and go. If you want them to stick around, you’ll have to find a good reason to charge them for it. That was the thought process behind Internet cafes. The internet back then wasn’t widely available and you could go their and pay to use the internet.

  29. Look into changing up your business model a little! I used to be a quantity over price seller and I burnt out so quickly. It's a little hard to switch from an "I'll list whatever as long as it makes me any kind of profit" mindset to a "I'm only sourcing this item if it can turn me atleast $__ profit" mindest, BUT it was worth it for me! I rather process and list 3 items that'll make me $100 than $10 that'll make me $100. You gotta look at your time and your energy as money too! Once you determine how much your time and your energy is worth you'll see that some items your listing may be taking more from you than giving.

  30. I somewhat agree with this but I actually wrote an article about this. The problem is my thrifts in my area do not really have a ton of high dollar items. They send most of that to the online side of things. I have to work with what I got and that is low cost mall brands in high volume.

  31. Once I shift out of an everything/anything store I'll be moving toward two niches most likely & that's it as it's easiest for shipping :)

  32. I personally love reselling in one niche. The more and more I look at it though, I think If someone applied what I know to make a 6 figure business in a single niche to being an everything seller...I think they would destroy me in every single metric. Up to a point.

  33. I don't think this is a metric that you can find from the eBay platform. I think its just users sharing their return rates by word of mouth. I am in clothing and its around 2% to 4%. Electronics has a high return rate in the 10% ball park. You really have to take a straw poll and compare to your metrics if you are in line with other sellers.
