1. The passport. It checks how many days you were in a particular country.

  2. Seriously why doesn’t Popeyes sell chicken biscuits? They have biscuits, they have chicken…. Why can’t they put them together?

  3. Anyone else just now get a 1099 from Chase? It arrived today for P2. It was for 2 Ink referrals. I wasn't totally sure if she was going to get one and since it didn't arrive with mine a few months ago I thought we were good to go. I've already filed my taxes. Do I have to do an amendment? Can I just settle up next year?

  4. Can this be reported? CFPB maybe? It seems ridiculous that Chase not only didn’t send out forms before 1/31, but after the actual tax filing deadline. If you screw up, you get fined, why shouldn’t they?

  5. I need to spend $500. I signed up a card that offers a $100 for spending $500 in 90 days, but I'm already working on the bonus for another and there is absolutely nothing I need to spend $500 on. Any ideas on how to meet the spending requirement via Cashapp/Paypal loading or something similar?

  6. Prepaying bills or gift cards for things you will use like streaming services or places you shop regularly.

  7. Does anyone else vastly prefer chase offers to Amex? I get its dribs and drabs and a few dollars here and there but for me they are actually useful. Like where I buy gas and grocery shop. I have earned way more a few dollars at a time with chase than I have with amex offers.

  8. Some of the AMEX ones have made me more money than a SUB due to work travel. I've gotten nearly $1000 back from hotel cash back that I've been booking for work travel anyway and getting reimbursed on so they're far more lucrative for me in that sense, but Chase offers seem better for day-to-day spend.

  9. Sadly, no one is paying me to stay in a hotel. 😂 but good for you.

  10. Please reply to this comment with any Amex Offers, Chase Offers, increased cash back portal payouts, or similar deals. Do not post them as a top level comment.

  11. Chase offers 10% of sbux or 15% off with app. Had on multiple cards.

  12. I don’t usually get spring allergies and this year has been hard. I even had to get allergy eye drops because my eyes won’t stop itching and burning. Something is different this year. My best guess is a lot of things are early and overlapping with other things.

  13. What i dont get is how/where people are getting all these first class overseas tickets for so cheap (if they are?) cheap meaning less than 100K miles . I have never seen one priced that would make it worth it vs a much lower priced economy award ticket or even vs paying cash for an economy ticket

  14. Searching daily. I’m flying to Dublin in august from the west coast, I only had 2-3 days of flexibility. I started looking at tickets last October and was shocked at the price of economy (like 70k). I know high season and the Olympics, so I just figured that’s what will be. I started looking again in January and economy down to 36k United saver. I actually got premium economy's for like 66k, but there was an equipment change that put me back in economy. keep searching biz and a few weeks ago some how scored a unicorn on American, not flying through London of 66k miles on the exact day I needed it and decent flight times. I should have bought a lottery ticket that day.

  15. Super dumb this got removed from the other sub. It’s news and good information. 🙄

  16. It's so frustrating though. NC could be a hemp powerhouse if the state GOP legislature would just stay out of the way. The state is losing out on so much tax revenue; it's silly. But, nope, they're all up in arms about this, while the state is plummeting in too many other, more important metrics.

  17. I used to live in NC and now live in a legal state. I truly don’t understand why states hate taxes. My tin foil hat hope is Biden is waiting to closer to the election to legalize it if it seems to be going Trump’s way. This is the best card the Dems have.

  18. The really annoying part to me is that sometimes I drive the historic highway and sometimes I drive 84 and that really dictates where I park. It's a pain to get back to the 84 lot if you are on historic highway and vice versa. This seems like more of a loophole for people who didn't get passes or the passes are sold out for the time they wanted. They are also not big lots so I don't think it's going to reduce congestion that much. That being said, I avoid the water fall areas on the weekends in the summer.

  19. I was already on the child free train, but this post just made me even more so.

  20. And people wonder why there’s a slowing population growth. Because women in civilized counties have options not to do this now.

  21. No alcohol allowed and they will ticket you. So if that’s the kind of party you are looking for, you might want another spot.

  22. For your long term needs, world market sells it online.

  23. I literally fantasize daily about living again in Charleston SC, but a) I’m not a billionaire and b) climate change. Absolutely world class place to visit though.

  24. Ugh… me too… i have thought very hard about moving back there, but I’m highly concerned about the home insurance market. Clearly always a red state, but I don’t want to live in a state that is taking away abortion rights. That wasn’t as much of an issue 15 years ago. Plus it’s just getting hotter. I loved living there.

  25. I am fairly convinced this store is a direct middle finger to the leaders of Portland.

  26. Hmm.. I don’t really want to be the person that makes that fate. It’s nice, but I wouldn’t call it private or secluded. It’s like very large backyard sized with vineyards down the hill. On clear day it is a very nice view. I have a pic of the picnic table I can post later.

  27. ok that would be great! You can DM it if thats the only way you can get the image across ill google the place to check out other photos thank you

  28. I live in the immediate area, full bloom is right about now, the last couple weeks have been spectacular

  29. I agree with everyone here that technically illegal but literally no one cares with the exception of sauvies island. Alcohol is banned there you will get a ticket.

  30. Yes!! When I saw it was the same price as precut choice, I just went for it. I was surprised to see this at a regular Costco since I only saw this at the business Costco's before. I brought this back on March 29th, and I have about 2-3 steaks left (usually feeling 4-7 family members per night). The freezer bag ziplocks did pretty well, but maybe because we didn't have them in there too long?

  31. If you do this often, I highly recommend a vacuum sealer. It preserves frozen things so much better and longer.

  32. I am so tempted to do that rn 🤣 that and a better knife to cut steaks with

  33. I have kinda a crappy freezer and vacuum sealing has made a huge difference in longevity of storage.

  34. I would assume this is why they’re doing it. In anticipation of federal legalization.

  35. My tin foil hat hope is it’s in biden’s back pocket to help him win the election. If it’s not, then the dems are dumb.

  36. The advice is usually start with the sapphire because you can only get the bonus every 48 months from the bonus date so starting the clock is good. If you have the spend, also consider a MDD.

  37. Got a Q2 offer on my United Explorer for 5x on groceries, gas and home improvement stores and the bonus works at my local Wal-Mart Supercenter.

  38. Ugh. All I ever get is the stupid max offer I don’t need. 6 chase case cards including the explorer.

  39. NYC. The feeeling you get from the pace of the city never goes away, before covid it was even better.

  40. I visited NYC during late 2021. It was so chill. That is the NYC I can handle.

  41. Just 2 nights. We didn't want to be resort-trapped the whole time, so other nights will be on Maui.

  42. Unsolicited advice. If you like that sorta thing, I thought the turtle snorkeling trip was pretty cool and worthwhile.

  43. I've had this issue occasionally for as long as I've used Trimet. When I used it for my work commute it would sometimes fail to bring up my usual route despite everything running normally. I just don't think Google Maps does a great job integrating Trimet's location data, which can sometimes be inaccurate or missing in the first place. Google Maps also seems to rely on user location data to give its own estimates for arrival times that can differ from Trimet's, and this can throw things off too.

  44. The Transit app is fairly reliable and tells you when it's not tracking live. I have the most problems with the street car.

  45. Dubrovnik blew me away with how expensive it was, especially considering how it contrasts with the rest of Croatia. We were staying outside of the centre but were still paying upwards of €10/12 for very bad food. 6/7/8 euro drinks in the walled city, food prices even higher. Paid €23 for a squid ink risotto which was just outright bad.

  46. I’m planning a trip to coastal Croatia at the end of September and I am really shocked how expensive lodging is. I haven’t even begun to look at food.
