1. I understand that, it requires a lot of patience and has some aspects that are annoying to deal with. It also isn't the type of game you can just blast through if you really want the full experience.

  2. I'm playing rdr2 for the first time and am only around 10% of the way through.im absolutely loving it but it's a very slow going game. I can see why it's not for everyone.

  3. CHOO-CHOO!!! and Edward waited for The Fat Controller to come and help.

  4. Multi-tap texting! Everyone was so fast at it and didn't need to look at our phones. Even the smileys etc. Are still mapped in my mind. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. I'm the same as you and completely agree. I'm deliberately ignoring my own companies instructions and giving people the cheapest possible ticket when I have finished with my doors. (If anybody doesn't know, we are supposed to charge you full single fare to your destination if you buy on board. Us conductors that give you the cheapest available ticket are risking disciplinary proceedings doing this).

  6. I'm 43 and started riding a couple of years ago. I came from skateboarding too and ride a Colony Apprentice ๐Ÿ™‚ I'm not the best rider but have learnt a few bits. Flatland riding us really relaxing and very rewarding. The only prob lem us it's a very lonely hobby lol. There's not many other riders around (none in my city).

  7. I'm a joiner, predominantly fitting Parquet flooring and work 9-3 weekdays. I used to be office based working around 60 hours a week Inc. Weekends but life's to short. Yes I was being paid a little more ( only around 10% more) but was constantly stressed, tired and miserable. I now love my job, look forward to work and wsje up with a strong in my step x

  9. Every year the shopkeepers go on their annual pilgrimage to the European Hamster Festival.

  10. Muppets Christmas Carol. Just once a year, but look forward to it every December.

  11. You think everyone lives next to a park? The closes to me is a 10 minute drive.

  12. I know that not everyone lives next to a park, but if the countryside is an hour away because the poster lives in a city its likely that he has a park closer. 10 minutes is fuck all.

  13. Its the triple periscope. It means that you and your two passengers are about to drive through water a little deeper than the car.

  14. Would a 0 not just be closed down? Otherwise what's the point in ratings?

  15. It was always the Proyo 2 that everyone had/wanted too. Wonder what happened to the proyo 1. My little girl got a yoyo about 6 months ago and she thought I was a fucking wizard when I had a go on it. Could still bust out a Cats Cradle ๐Ÿ˜…

  16. Being poorly can potentially make you in debt for life. I had a heart operation in the UK and didn't even have to pay for parking. A guy on Reddit in yhe U.S. had the same operation and is now in debt 1/4 million dollars. He is also likely to be in & out of hospital for the rest of his life and no insurance company will go anywhere near him.

  17. I had an equally-nice departure from my last job. A FAANG company recruited me when I wasn't looking for a job, and offered me ~1.8x my then-current salary. I had been at my previous place for over a decade, so there were a lot of personal relationships with people I truly cared for. But not enough to pass up an almost double salary. They knew that they couldn't come even close to matching, so didn't try to guilt-trip me into staying. They took me out to lunch with those at the company who wanted to come (my turnout was pretty decent), and to another lunch with just my my manager and the general manager, and that was it. 10/10, would do again.

  18. Perfect. Never leave a job on bad terms. Any decent manager will understand, and you can bet your ass they would have done exactly the same if the shoe was on the other foot.

  19. Google and bing make money through advertising. Therefore searches predominantly guide you towards products & services. If I want Information on something I just add the word 'forum' to my search. It almost always leads to a discussion on the particular interest.

  20. Yeah I guess it kind of depends on what you want to be improvising on. I think choosing some standards that you like from the real book or wherever else is a great idea. I might recommend starting with the blues as that will help significantly with jazz improvisation.

  21. Just commenting so that I can find this YouTube link later. Looks really fun ๐Ÿ™‚

  22. I've climbed at some shit crags but that looks like a contender for crappest crag on the planet.

  23. Genuine question OP, do you guys still typically place pitons on trad routes? I'm in the UK and we have a policy of only using hand placed protection on trad routes. Even (very rarely admittedly) hand placed pegs. Obviously we come across old pegs on trad routes but they will be old. I've snapped a couple in falls in the past. Very rarely, after much debate the odd snapped peg will be replaced with another peg, or a discreet bolt.

  24. Cool. Always good to hear how things differ from country to country.
