1. There are chiropractors and there are chiropractors. facepain.org had a list of doctors who specialize in facial pain, including at least one NUCCA chiropractor. There is a video. NUCCA technique is gentle and has given some people relief. Re LLLT - google Low Light Laser Therapy for trigeminal neuralgia. I found two papers, one from 2014 and one from 2023. They are small studies but it looks promising. They describe the kind of low light laser devise used and how long it took for their patients to see results. Note - LLLT feels like nothing (much like ultrasound), and is accumulative. It takes time for results. It stimulates the body to heal itself and has been proven to be effective for other conditions. Theoretically it stimulates the nerve’s myelin sheath to regenerate.

  2. Yeah I’m sure that’s the case and I know there’s backing for the LLLT, it’s just that this guy was a creep and I hated him. If I could do it myself at home that would be good

  3. I want curated ads. I also wish someone would make a way to get rid of ads for things I already have. If I can register somewhere that I have the thing they’re advertising so that they stop showing it to me that would be great.

  4. I gained almost 30 pounds from a medication that I’m now trying to get off of but it’s going to take longer to get off of it than the time I was even on it. So not right now. Hopefully the weight drops off and then we’ll see. For now I just wear a swim shirt and avoid changing in front of others.

  5. It is totally up to you. If that label feels comfortable for you and it fits your experience then go for it, that is absolutely fine for you to consider yourself trans as an intersex woman. Not every intersex person considers themselves trans though, like for me being closer to biologically male than female and living as male I don’t ID as trans. I was raised female but my experiences just don’t really mirror trans peoples experience and are more in line with just being intersex, so I just ID as an intersex man. I don’t care what people say, if someone tries to say “you’re automatically trans if you disagree with your AGAB” they’re wrong. Intersex folk have it different and can identify however they feel comfortable and feel fits their lived experience. Trans, intersex, cis, whatever you feel is right for you.

  6. If they’re a witch, they probably just do the same spells and rituals that you or I do. If they aren’t, then they don’t.

  7. That guy was hilarious. There was also a comedian from (I think) around that same time whose schtick was a noir detective. He would do crowd work in a pulpy narrative and somehow nailed it. I miss comics like those two.

  8. Based on what you have writed i asume you dont have a compression? I will defiently advice you to not destroy your nerve with gamma knife aint no going back after that procedure. You should look fpr what has damaged your trigeminal nerve and try to corecct it nerves do heal, great possiblity for your nerve to heal!

  9. No compression, the nerves were damaged from getting my wisdom teeth out. I’m definitely waiting a year before any decisions because you’re right there is no going back, if my face goes numb and it doesn’t work then I get the bad trade off for nothing.

  10. You should take b vitamins and laser therapy before you go for gamma knife, it is possible for your symptoms to get worse by gamma knife you should talk to your doctor about the side effekts and sucess rate for that, best of luck!

  11. Already have, that’s why I’m doing laser first before I even consider it. Thanks!

  12. My current friend group assumes I’m straight and in turn some of the women in the group are uncomfortable with me for that reason. I would say something but every time it’s come up someone is talking about themselves or politics and I am not going to insert myself in either conversation, but also bringing it up randomly would also be weird. I really don’t know what to do and I agree it’s awkward and frustrating. I wish I had more gay vibes so I didn’t have to surprise everyone when they finally find out

  13. Lol they just need to wash, their cells are replicating so fast, they do not NEED any skincare products.

  14. SPF is important for everybody, and moisturizer doesn’t hurt especially for certain skin types and dry climates. Prescription stuff may be needed for severe acne prone skin.

  15. 20M. My grandmother had cutaneous lupus, and I’ve been having symptoms for a while of systemic lupus (frequent canker sores with no cause and in clusters, recurring low grade fevers, high inflammation markers, high blood sed rate, low iron, though my ANA was negative). Wondering if there could be a genetic link there and if that increases my risk of it being lupus given my symptoms?

  16. This. It's literally a scientific phenomena known as Bateman's Principle.

  17. Usually disease. They do the same with chickens. They have to kill all of them to prevent an outbreak.

  18. I always had a feeling with how my genitals were ambiguous during development (even before TRT) but I didn’t quite start figuring it out until an ultrasound where they couldn’t find my “ovaries”. Turns out they’re underdeveloped testes/maybe ovotestes. MRI and/or biopsy will tell me which. Also how I reacted to hormone blockers, instead of my estrogen being suppressed my already low testosterone tanked and it feminized me further and was horrible.

  19. Well, Grand Canyon is the classic of course but I personally love Death Valley and the flowers are out right now I think or there’s Zion Canyon not too far and some state parks even closer. How long are you staying?

  20. Only 3 days, so I’m not sure if we’d have enough time for the national parks! I’d love to go to them but I think doing a separate trip just for those would be more ideal. Definitely have to see them at some point though!

  21. Oh, yeah. Probably better to stay in Vegas then. You ‘ll have a good time if you’ve never been. 3 days is the perfect time. I can be there for two nights max before I am ready to leave but if you’ve never been it’s all new and exciting. If you ever need information on national park trips let me know

  22. Yeah it’s gonna be good!! I’ll keep that in mind, thanks!
