1. Don't be scared. You're already experiencing all the scary stuff, there won't be anything new. On the contrary, now the scary stuff has a name to it and can be treated. Good luck and stay strong . Also, there's a lot of stigma around BPD, as you may know. Don't let anyone convince you you're a bad person. We're just incredibly hurt people that are trying our best to be okay.

  2. Thank you! Starting treatment in January; this group makes me feel less lonely

  3. One can never have enough stamps, stickers and washi tape. Just saying... ;)

  4. Wieso hab ich 1 Minute gebraucht bis ich geschnallt hab, dass Gottestisch ein Altar ist und nicht der Name des Priesters

  5. Yeah but how much more do they cost? Does it really corelate with the money we all pay?

  6. Cancer treatments cost a LOT. A single dose chemotherapy can cost several thousand CHF (the medicine alone).

  7. It's so incredibly sad and revolting that this is a question we have to think about in our daily working life... But to answer your question, I usually wear a bun or a low ponytail or I braid my hair in a low braid (is that an expression? Sorry if not, English isn't my native language)

  8. Okay so I'm convinced that there's a banana tree conspiracy. Hear me out. I've had three banana trees in three years and every fall/winter it started to die, lose its leaves, completely break down. EVERYONE I asked told me "ah don't worry that's normal for a banana tree, it will come back to life in spring!" Well I am still waiting for them to grow back... Not even a single little sprout...

  9. Hi I've been on a couple of different antidepressants (still on one now) and they never made me gain weight (although I'm very prone to weight gain...) Not even the Mirtazapine which supposedly makes you have food binges and big weight gain has made me gain any weight:)

  10. I'm someone who shops everything online if it's possible, stores give me anxiety. However, I would never order glasses online. Maybe it's different for reading glasses because you don't wear them all the time but with "permanent glasses" it's just something that's gonna be in your face all the time. So it's super important that they're comfortable (not all glasses are!) and to me personally, it's also important that they look good in my face. About 75% of the glasses I like on the rack and find super pretty look horrible in my face😂 so it's really important to actually go to the store and try them on. But that's just my personal opinion:)

  11. Yeah comfort is a good point.. I don't really care how I look, within reason, but I want to get in the habit of using them.

  12. I think if you're worried about budget you could just go to Fielmann. There's one in basically every city and they have very cheap frames. I personally don't go there but I think for you it would still be a better option than ordering online:)

  13. I do. 5000CHF for what we do day to day is not enough. Especially since literally noone can work 100% in this job, so modt people only earn 4000 downwards. I know a couple, too;)

  14. Yeah it is of course still not enough for the amazing work you guys do, but it still better than most other developed places in this world even taking into account the cost of living in CH. The average nurse salary in the UK is 37’894.18chf and the cost of living there is getting crazy.

  15. Yeah I'm all for paying nurses everywhere in the world more! Not just nurses for that sake but all workers in general...

  16. Depends, probably the lab values will be off. I'm a nurse and I can assure you that most doctors won't be concerned though and look over it/blame it on the lab etc. and will only look at the values they were actually testing for. Unless you're inpatient of course. Nevertheless, maybe ask for a copy of the values? That way you can check on your electrolytes and start supplementing them so you hold them kind of stable while you're undereating because imbalanced electrolytes can lead to serious trouble.

  17. The most serious is probably heart problems (arrhythmia). But also muscle cramps, obstipation and stuff like that that's not life threatening but annoying to have.

Weiß jemand, ob man danach vermehrt Attacken bekommt?

  20. I've got a kink for men that cross dress and if your husband was mine I'd be more than happy to do his makeup and hair!

  21. I think your comment just made me discover a new kink (or my first one...?) I never thought about it this way but I would find it extremely cool and sexy if my husband would actually cross dress!

  22. Yes I have this too! Mostly with noise and also materials. Sounds really silly probably but sometimes (usually...) when I wear something tight or not very comfortable, it makes me SO irritated and I can't focus on anything else and just wanna rip it off me. At home I usually walk around naked because it's the easiest.

  23. Well because usually when I make a doctor check on a patient it's because the patient is really unstable (else the docs never show up around here...) and then usually the doc is like "yup continue monitoring" and leaves again so I write it down so that people actually know that I'm not just letting the patient die because I'm dumb or don't care but it's on a doctor's order. Of course, I am exaggerating but often times it feel like this tbf.

  27. In 6th grade at the end of the year we took a trip with our class. On our way home on the train, I was sitting across a classmate who was eating regular chips while I had some that were low fat (my mother had packed my lunch and snacks for the day). I was joking with that boy about how I was being "healthier" because of my low fat chips when he said "well I don't need to eat low-fat because I don't look like you" while looking at my tighs. That was the first time I heard someone talk about my body and my fat. It triggered something in me because I started hating my body, restricting and eventually developing an eating disorder from that moment on... I still remember that moment so clearly because that's when it all started...

  29. I'm with Wingo with a similar deal. Never had any problems, always super satisfied. I don't even have wifi at home so I just use my phone as a hotspot. Very decent speed and my data usage is super high and has never been a problem:) do recommend

  30. I am a nurse! It helps me so much helping people every day, just being nice to them and trying to make their lives as enjoyable as possible. Their gratitude makes me feel like I actually deserve to exist. Also, it's a very interesting job that is fast paced which really helps because usually I get bored of everything within like 30minutes.

  33. Lmao I actually lose respect for them when I find out they did in fact join the military
