1. “I can make a selfish decision and do something that is different, but I’m doing here what I believe to be the right thing. I think providing aid to Ukraine right now is critically important,” the speaker added.

  2. The problem here is the cans. Note these pot lights have a minimum luminosity, so this will be very bright when fully dimmed.

  3. I have friends about to retire who both worked in the film industry. They have no pension, which is typical for that industry. What they have is a warehouse they invested in and they plan on selling to fund their retirement. So they are screwed. Imagine the government taking 16% of pensions. People would be mad.

  4. If there was literally no demand it would have dropped to zero. The price is falling but some people are still buying.

  5. So Truth Social has $4M in revenue, about as much as a Chick-fil A franchise. But they paid huge salaries and lost $58M. So what's the floor on that?

  6. Check ur stats lol Chick-fil A franchise with 4M in revenue. What are u smoking?

  7. $4M in revenue which is "...less than the average Chick-fil-A franchise..."

  8. Some widgets are messed up for me. Photos for some contacts are messed up.

  9. "In a brief two-page filing on Wednesday, Trump’s lawyers alleged the judge exceeded his authority in those rulings and have asked the appeals court to hold a hearing on May 6."

  10. These final death throes are evidence of consciousness of guilt, I hope the prosecutors are able to use it.

  11. Slime ball for being anti-abortion, weasel for being spineless and lying about his position when his job is on the line. Grow a pair and don’t hide what you truly are.

  12. Oh, it’s going to be like Elvis. Sightings for decades.

  13. Could be a popular YouTube channel. Trump Sightings.

  14. By Friday Trump will be filling for delays about every hour.

  15. The banality of this fanciful/stoic contrast conveys a sense of vacant artistic merit. While I appreciate the attempt it does not work for me.

  16. If the eclipse-Rapture nonsense is any guide secularization is still way too slow.

  17. Ironic they were completely reliant on science to foretell the eclipse so they could make their rapture plans.

  18. Fareed Zakaria is probably the most intelligent of the T.V. news commenters here in the United States. Urbanization, modernization, and improvements in technology is the material basis that leads to a weakening of religion, and in response, Evangelical Christians came to re-theologize essentially secular concepts (politics) which was successful as a short-term political strategy in alliance with the Republican Party, but which paradoxically contributed to the hollowing out of religion's spirit and mystery. Part of this also explains why Christians who are even more ultra-conservative have been converting to Latin Mass traditional Catholicism or Eastern Orthodoxy -- essentially a reaction to Evangelicalism hollowing itself out of substance and morality and becoming a more or less secular vehicle for "vulgar" politics (but I've got bad news if they think the Eastern Orthodox Church isn't disgustingly corrupt). The house is collapsing in on them, in other words, but bereft of any ideas about how to build a new one, they've opted to try and find their way back into an even older one.

  19. I never miss this guy, I think his opening editorials are great. I watched this one twice - it answered so many questions I had. Like why religious people (purportedly pious, the golden rule, and other Christian teachings) would vote for a rapist.

  20. This trick, regurgitating globes, was popular in Europe about 100 years ago. Noted con artist Sai Baba in India revived the trick, the production of globes from his mouth being viewed as a sacred by his followers (which included a lot of gullible North Americans who made the trek). Sai Baba was eventually undone when he was caught on video being passed ashes which he later claimed as magically appearing, part of his regular shtick.

  21. There is no basis in the claim of a biased judge. All the lawyers involved in this BS filing should be referred for disbarment and fines after the trial.

  22. Why wait? I’m sure we can walk and chew gum simultaneously.

  23. This is purely subjective but I never got the purpose of these pits. I mean... why?

  24. Conversation pits fell out of favor because conversations with people standing outside of the pit were very awkward, and injuries

  25. I think they are awful, they have an 80s institutional feel to me. If I ever bought a house with them it would be the first thing I’d remove.

  26. I've hear it called the Pacific Rim building, from the movie.

  27. Basically this. The NA spirits they use are high quality and made essentially the same as regular spirits with added steps to remove the alcohol so you still get the same taste as the spirit of choice. Plus the mixers and other ingredients are of quality too which keep it in line with regular cocktail pricing. Hopefully one day the price can be brought down when it’s far more popular.

  28. Spirits at 40% alcohol, so you remove that it’s going to be more expensive per ml.

  29. Fuck yeah. Perseverance. Warms my heart.

  30. I'm making a criminal referral that James Comer is a blustering quack. In this case there is evidence.

  31. IKR? I think a lot of people are not insured enough to actually replace the building.
