1. you'll find your people. it might take a while, but they're out there :]

  2. Also it’s captioned #205 of I’m assuming- reasons she doesn’t relate- so I’m wondering, does she have 204 other posts like this?!?

  3. good lord, imagine how up your own ass you'd have to be to actually sit down and come up with reasons you don't relate to other people. holy shit

  4. "I hope I'm wrong" no, you don't, you are frothing at the mouth for something to bitch and moan about. people like this are insufferable

  5. I mean, google is awesome but it's not what it was when we were kids. it kind of sucks now. everything is advertisements and the raw, wild west internet we grew up with is harder to find now.

  6. I would not roll with this dude anymore, you could get seriously injured in the future.

  7. Yeah but everyone else is paired up and he's the only one left

  8. sit out. I'm assuming you're an adult paying for the class. they don't own you, and if they ask why then you might consider pulling your coach aside and privately letting them know.

  9. ahh, okay. just talk to your coach in private, and you can still sit out any time you're not comfortable.

  10. Basically shocked pikachu face and tried to "communism killed ten trillion people" me. I explained nazi apologetics to him and how he's bitten the American exceptionalism bait and hit the CIA hook, but he didn't listen.

  11. ugh, yeah, political conversations at work are literally never worth it unless you're just venting to someone like-minded. I never EVER initiate hot-button political talk and anyone that does never genuinely listens to the things I say, they just wait for me to stop talking so they can try to poke holes in all my points. it's never about actually discussing anything and it's exhausting.

  12. I usually don't tend to engage, but whenever people say things they think are a novel idea on how to better society, I just point out that it's Communism.

  13. ahh I love that and will definitely be stealing!

  14. I will tell you as a young, conventionally attractive woman on a dating app: just because I can do it doesn't mean it's easy. I get overwhelmed on apps a LOT. it seems impossible to keep up and it's really, really not as easy for me as people who haven't experienced this make it seem.

  15. I work at a pool at a resort and when it’s raining and I ask how is your day or whatever and they say “can you get the sun out?” I wanna jump off a cliff

  16. "if I had the power to do that, you really think I'd be here right now?"

  17. I love when the man says these jokes and his wife groans and rolls her eyes. Bonus points if she says something like “you’re probably the sixth person to tell her that today…” that’s when I know I’m gonna love the table lol

  18. ugh yes when me and the wife can poke fun at the husband's silliness I know I've got them locked in!

  19. I was working prep at a popular wing spot with a buffalo mascot. The lead prep asked me to help him grab a couple of bins of fresh wings from the dedicated wing cooler. He mishandled the first bin and ended up dumping the entire thing on the floor of the cooler into what can only be described as sort of a wing juice and chef shoe slurry that was always kinda present. He immediately gets down and starts scooping them towards him like he just won a large poker pot and starts throwing them back in the bin. He then told me "You saw nothing." I told him he had to discard those but he just repeated "You saw nothing." I was done with the business shortly after that.

  20. eww I hate when people try to be quirky or cool or whatever the fuck he was trying to do, just own up to it and move on

  21. yeah, the size of someone's truck factors massively into whether I'd date them or not.

  22. sure, but it doesn't make it any less cringe

  23. crazy flirty stuff right off the bat usually makes me cringe, but yeah a simple "hey" is not going to get me hooked either. if you are really interested in talking, bring up something in my profile. there are lots of conversation starters there (my hobbies, interests, etc) and I think it's a green flag when someone actually pays attention to the snippet of my personality that is my bio.

  24. I straight up tell people " i have straws in my pocket but i only have two hands"

  25. haha yeah!! I tell people I only have two hands all the time, especially when I'm in the process of wiping the bartop and then setting them up with plates, silverware, bev naps and they interrupt me to ask for menus. I say "that was my next move, I only got two hands to work with here" with a smile

  26. Yeah, I do take their orders, but that doesn’t mean I’m getting their stuff before everyone else’s (for those customers that literally don’t give you a minute to even say hi)

  27. honestly with ppl like that I put theirs in as soon as I get it because I want them out of my section as soon as possible

  28. now imagine if every servers pay was the same and not based on customers whims

  29. okay... and what does that have to do with anything being discussed here

  30. Interesting, I’ve only ever heard servers complain about how it is a shit show of a job.

  31. it is most definitely a shit show of a job. a lucrative shit show that pays my bills, but still a circus.

  32. 98% of the sex I got in college was thru the pizza joints I worked at. It’s an inherently thirsty environment. I’ve moved past that time in my life but damn if this post didn’t make my heart jump for a second.

  33. completely and totally agree, you said it beautifully. OP, take these words to your heart!

  34. You make $2.13/hr ?!?! That is soo crazyy omfg 😭 When I first started my job at the restaurant I work at in November of 2023 I was making $17/hr. Since then, I've gotten 2 raises & I'm now at $17.75/hr. My tips don't get taxed either.. I feel soo bad for people in texas, I could never live off of $2.13/hr

  35. isn't it cheaper to live in Texas anyways? Like can you afford your own place in texas with ur tips & check or no? cause i cant afford to live in my own place over here making The Bay Areas min. wage!

  36. it pays my bills! cost of living is way cheaper over here tho

  37. That can happen when you have no skills, knowledge, and are really bad at managing money.

  38. because the people down here with you and me matter more than some soulless corporation's bottom line

  39. Good job completely missing the point, is taking food without permission a crime? Yes

  40. no, you are missing the point entirely. to understand it, you need to be able to feel basic empathy for other people. since you are so set on being contrarian and avoiding feeling compassion for others, you will not understand anything I try to tell you going forward. we have reached the limits of mutual understanding (if there were even any in the first place).

  41. Sounds like you work in a chain restaurant with a fucking toolbox for a manager.

  42. yes, we are a chain. and she is on my ass all the time about all sorts of things. I just try and do my best at my job and avoid interacting with her because it's always something

  43. Corporate is corporate. No added personality, just follow the format.

  44. I didn't argue or anything! I just went with it but wanted outside opinions because I'm still pretty new at bartending and I think she was being ridiculous

  45. It’s obviously not a big deal at all, but if your dick head manager wants the whole thing shaken, just shake the whole thing and be on with your day

  46. thanks. she made it seem like really fucked it up but I didn't think it was a big deal. she's been bartending a lot longer than me tho so I guess I wanted outside opinions

  47. as a female server, I do not find it creepy when someone treats me normally during service and leaves their number on the receipt for me to find after they've left. what does make me extremely uncomfortable is when people try to flirt with me while I'm working/serving them, or when they ask me to give them my info instead of leaving theirs for me to reach out if I feel comfortable. in the future, it would probably not be creepy if you treat someone with respect and decide to leave your number for them on a receipt or whatever.
