1. Something about him changed but I legit believe he's insane. His speeches about power and taking control are essentially the real him that he keeps hidden away. There are hints that he's not a complete monster as I think deeeeeeep down he doesn't want to kill Gira at least subconciously.

  2. There's something odd about Racules since in the flashbacks, you could see he cares & loves Gira, where as now, he's the opposite. I don't know if I wanna say Racules isn't evil, but it does feel like he's corrupted though. I don't know if the Racules spin-off is now finished, but I'd like to see learn more about him & how he became corrupted.

  3. there is one more episode left

  4. They think that they can get away with selling the wardrobe of the entire King-Ohger cast, huh?

  5. to be fair some of these clothes were designed by fashion students so yeah.

  6. I think Connor and Joey have a point that bread is just more variety than rice. Rice has different ways to eat it but there are a lot more foods that need bread to exist like some pizza, hamburgers and hotdogs. I think a big example of how varied bread is, you can have bread made from rice. Rice is a specific grain while bread is a product made from various grains thus by it's nature it's more varied.

  7. People: let’s treat all people equally! Right-wingers: WOKEERE AS SHIIITTT. What happened to the old times like X-Men that wasn’t woke. It was just about a persecuted minority!

  8. Agreed. Although I am at a bit of a coin toss, as to whether it should be Lowe or Cebulski first.

  9. Lowe first. I think Cebulski will stand down if need be

  10. I don’t think this current breakup was mandated by Marvel like OMD. If it was, I bet it would’ve just been another “I don’t want to be a target forever” storyline with MJ initiating the breakup, and Peter letting her go because he isn’t gonna beg for her when she’s in that mindset.

  11. It more or less the last shred of OMD’s influence. Lowe doesn’t like MJ and is desperate in some way to destroy the truth that MJ is Peter’s main love interest. The Wells run was more or less the last attempt to do so because of how badly this run is doing

  12. There is a difference in Marvel has tried to kill MJ before. They brought her back obviously and if they didn't try to kill her after OMD in BND, they won't do it here.

  13. There's this idea entrenched among the editorial staff that youth is an essential part of Peter Parker's appeal to the target demographic that Marvel are trying to attract with the Amazing Spider-man title (teenagers and 20 somethings). So if Marvel were to introduce this massive status quo change that would require Peter to take on more responsibility and make him look like an adult (like marriage or kids) Peter would no longer have the same problems as the target group Marvel are trying to appeal to; he would have the problems of a man in his mid 30s, meaning that Marvel are scared of making a decision that would alienate this target market.

  14. On the plus side, I think the people that think that way are more or less being kicked off. Even if Marvel is scared of that, Peter/MJ being married is more or less seen as Peter's status quo so they're fighting a losing battle. It's likely the reason Wells was rehired is ebcause he's one of the few writers willing to write non-Peter/MJ stuff.

  15. They even started doing similar ideas for Spider-Gwen and Venom. Like do we need to see various verisons of a character we like fight and then team up.

  16. They simply cannot do it because it would cause even more fan backlash, something they cannot afford right now. Plus, Gleason was teasing a whole lot of MJ stuff and he's working on the book in the arc after this one (probably).

  17. At this point fans would probably be ok with it since she died in both Spider-Man PS4 and NWH

  18. And all it really confirms is that this editorial team won't allow it, but that team still had Quesada even he made these comments and now all that's left is Lowe, CB, and Wells.

  19. The current run is pissing off fans so much that plenty of people aren't going to buy it till Peter and MJ are back together. If anything this run after the Spencer run has shown Marvel can't get rid of Peter/MJ at all.

  20. Probably because I think Lowe is seeing the writing on the wall. Spider-man fans see Peter/MJ as canon and there is nothing they can do to stop it

  21. Ohh, Nice. Do you have some example of his desperation on Twitter?

  22. Super, thanks. The user also completely sums up the entire problem with the kids, and the "I cried at the end" BS from Lowe.

  23. It's kinda obvious Lowe is freaking out more and more and if they keep messing with one of Marvel's biggest character/franchise, he'll get kicked out. Especially when he overlooked one of the more popular eras(Spencer's when Peter and MJ reunited) to this

  24. My biggest hope is after Miles, the MCU makes Mayday as the main Spider as Spider-Girl and then Spider-Woman when she's aged up.

  25. After reading #21 I have little to no faith this story getting any proper story telling and just be a major disappointment. They couldn’t even get the kid’s name right, or the recap page information correct with the time frame in comic, recap said year and half ago, Wells sets the flashback as 1 year ago which is 6 months prior to ASM 1, which apparently 6 months have passed. 18 months has turned into 12.

  26. I think the only real good ending is Wells is kicked off, Slott’s title is cancelled and Lowe is moved/fired and the new Spider Office keeps Peter and MJ together as they see this run as what happens when they try to cross the fandom

  27. We're not sure BUT since editors and writers are at the point of BEGGING for fans to leave them alone but buy their books .... probably sooner than they would like.

  28. ok and who is lowe? i ain’t been keeping up with the comixs

  29. the current Spider-Man editor who has been around since 2014. People have pointed out he's not a Peter/MJ fan and generally has been the one to push them being broken apart and probably the last real connection the books have to BND which was made by the then Spider Office to break Peter/MJ and show that Peter was better alone/MJ isn't that well liked. That failed miserably.

  30. To make this make sense. Remember how DC was dunking on Wally from New 52 till they finally fixed him by giving his family back. That's us right now

  31. I think by this point in Catwoman's characterization, she more of an antihero than Black Cat. Both are theives but Catwoman has plenty of times acted as guardian for the poor and children something Black Cat doesn't always do.

  32. No as Marvel did attempt to do that once with Heroes Reborn. It was utter failure and that has ensured Marvel won't do something like the New 52 and then Marvel got to see DC try with the New 52. Honestly the New 52 and the failure of the DCEU is probably the reason Marvel is so ahead of DC currently.

  33. I do agree with him though. MJ was always a more fun, interesting and dynamic character than Gwen.

  34. that is the issue writers and editors have had with MJ since forever. She is FAR too much fun and interesting that they can't ignore her.

  35. I just thought it was weird that in the movie, Gwen had her version of Peter die and Peter (assumedly) had his version of Gwen die, and then the two meet and they never discuss this at all. Imagine being Peter and taking on a young protege, only for him to date your dead high school girlfriend

  36. considering he never reacts to her, maybe Peter B Parker is closer to the Raimi continuity where Gwen wasn't that important to him and didn't die

  37. I honestly don't believe Felicia and Peter work as a couple as they're too different and not in an opposite attracts kind of way. But they're good friends and allies and I woudln't mind her as a supporting character that appears from time to time like say Nightwing or Oracle in a Batman book

  38. With the mystery compressed to 26 I think they are crossing all their fingers that people like 27 onwards enough to simmer down, but they've built up so much ill will that I just don't see that happening.

  39. YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN INTERESTING. PETER AND MJ ARE STILL TOGETHER, STRAINED BUT THEY HAVE KIDS. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN INTERESTING

  40. I respect your opinion but frankly I disagree. There’s a vocal minority who have bigoted complaints sure but the vast majority of people’s complaints have been valid and that shouldn’t be negated because a very small group of people are bigoted or just seeking to criticize Marvel in anyway possible.

  41. I never said ALL complaints are bigoted or even most, just there are more bigoted complaints and that gets tiring. I never said bad writing is acceptable, maybe I'm more tolerant of these movies but I never thought the Ant-Man movie was badly written.

  42. The writing has definitely deteriorated. Maybe bad was too strong but these recent movies have felt less like MCU movies and more like the cash grab superhero movies that plagued us for so long. I can definitely see why you didn’t think Ant-Man was badly written and how Scott got his own story but I also can see why people would disagree.

  43. Didn’t Sharla go back to Canada to get the procedure done?

  44. Yes and no. She went back to Canada but the clinic she went to in Florida specialized in Cancer

  45. Look Marvel will say Peter and MJ are going to get back together BUT current editoral and the writers hate MJ so they will refuse to bring them back togther unless it's the "last story".

  46. I don't think they are that humble to accept they screwed up. IF anything, they would probably double down out of spite with ''You don't know what you want!. WE KNOW WHAT YOU WANT''. Otherwise, why would they still stick to OMD status quo for over a decade now?

  47. The last decade was them doubling down but they are losing money and writers willing to do antiPeter/MJ stuff

  48. Honestly pretty much every major character minus Hulk and Spider-Man. The Avengers before the MCU was pretty much a third-tier team and while important in the past, had more or less lost a lot of revelance to the the comic world and was generally seen as a a second tier Justice League and not THE Superhero team in pop culture.

  49. I’ve liked Shang Chi for a while now, can see him being important. I feel like he may have a guardians style surge in popularity

  50. Like honestly if Iron Man was a B or C tier, Shang-Chi was probably a D-tier character but his movie really helped his popularity
