1. This might be a silly question but how do you cook your mushrooms and onions? I just throw them onto an oiled skillet and they're either completely undercooked, or more burnt than "caramelized."

  2. I sauté them with maybe a tablespoon of oil on medium-high heat, add a little bit of water (maybe 1/4th cup), cover with lid until fragrant (maybe 8-10mins), remove lid, sauté again for a few minutes. I usually season it with salt and a sprinkle of sugar.

  3. I appreciate your suggestions! Where would you suggest placing the wall art? I’ll search for a gold or brass floor lamp to add some warm lighting to the space. I’m thinking the end of the right side of the sofa might be a good place to add it?

  4. Yeah once you get rid of the smaller couch then play around with where you want the table and chairs.

  5. I like the rug3 you linked! But I will try to move the rug I have right now over to the sofa first to see how I’ll like it. And maybe a brass floor lamp at the end of the right side of the sofa would look good. I want to give the space some color but I will hold off on painting the walls for now 😅

  6. Serious question, why don't we get eaten by wild animals more when we sleep in tents? I used to camp near a swamp (state park) and I never felt great about the thin layer of plastic between me and them, especially when I'd hear them kill each other (literal creature cries) all night. And I get not keeping food in your tent but as hungry as they sounded I always felt like food. Oh and hey, enjoy your trip, looks nice. Ha, sorry, but I have had this question for a while and you guys clearly camp so...

  7. I’ve had those concerns before, still do at times. We have safety measures in place that helps us sleep better at night like putting away our food in storage away from our tent, bear spray/pepper spray within easy reach etc. I usually bring my dog camping as well. She’s the main reason why I sleep better at night. I also learned animals typically tend to stay away from our camp anyway so might as well sleep.

  8. No, I have not. I’ve definitely have seen a few of his videos though.

  9. I have the Coleman one and it’s okay. I just like it because it’s not as bulky and we’re able to use it for hotpot. The fire is only strong with a new butane can and unfortunately, it runs out fast.

  10. Oh boy does that look good… did you catch those fish while camping?

  11. What other spices and herbs you got on there? I tried keeping it basic with the slices and it tasted not good

  12. It's hard to make any kind of change with zero budget at all. Your only option is probably to keep a foot bath and/or a towel at the back door and wipe their paws every time.

  13. Sorry, I meant I had no budget to hire a professional to landscape my backyard. But maybe with $500, how can I fix it up?

  14. Yes! I would do sardines tinned in lemon and olive oil 🐟

  15. Try a toasted croissant sandwich with sardines, tomato, avocado, and scrambled egg. So good.

  16. Mmm one of my favorite snacks, just needs a negroni to wash it down

  17. I brought precooked white rice just to make it easier. Just sauté kimchi, kimchi juice, rice, and a splash of sesame oil. Garnish with green onions. That’s it. You can season with soy sauce and garnish with seaweed and egg but I didn’t have those in hand.

  18. I considered a bench but it’s not as comfortable than a chair with back support.

  19. I agree, that’s why i was thinking a bench with back support.

  20. Ohh I never considered that! That would good if the dining was near a wall or corner and have a booth set up.

  21. Omg yes yay!!! At least now I know where I can find it. Thank you so much!!

  22. i used google Lens ( google image search), which allows me to search even part of the image (the rug in this case) then I opened multiple links, found a better image, and searched that image...

  23. That’s so useful, I learned something new today! Thank you ☺️

  24. That is most likely a Hobo spider, they are native to the east coast. Not sure where you live. But the legs are a clue. Hobo spiders are related to grass, wolf and recluse spiders. Only the recluse spider will cause sever reactions from the bite, the others including the hobo are not as bad. That being said all spider have venom and every person physically react differently to bites even if it’s not considered a medically dangerous spider. It would help identifying pest if you post the state you live.

  25. If your in the Bay Area then I can say without fear that is a young hobo spider. Not something to panic about and a vacuum is your best defense against them. And also hire a professional pest company, I recommend orkin as they have some of the best training in the industry but any licensed company would be fine.

  26. This has been very helpful. Thank you for your recommendation!

  27. Depends what kind of fish you want to catch.

  28. Largemouth bass, trout, bluegill, catfish..any fish I can catch from shore. Any suggestions?

  29. Those places are very cold water conditions, so if they have been stocking trout, you have a good chance of catching those.....Cachuma has a pretty stock schedule. Otherwise, bass blue gills etc are in cold weather holding patterns and may require more experience and techniques to target.

  30. Do you have a link to your other keycaps? They look awesome

  31. Thank you! This is the only keycap I’ve made so far though lol Maybe I’ll post again when I make another one :)

  32. It has a nice open view but no shade 😅 some sites has shade though.

  33. What's in it? I see crab, egg, corn, green onion, maybe pork? I think cabbage? And scallop? ... Looks delicious, whatever it is.

  34. There’s cabbage, pork slices, crab, udon, enoki mushroom, clam, fish fillet, king oyster mushroom, fried tofu skin, soft tofu, kamaboko, cuttlefish ring, corn, tempura, roe fishball, seaweed knot, zucchini, fuzhou fishball, egg, and scallion :)
