It is a neuro experiential treatment for trauma PTSD and anxiety. It takes you deep into the non-language-based subpoical brain. One of the trademarks of rain spotting therapy is that afterwards you have a really rough two or three day period of intense symbolic dreams. It brings back memory in a physical and emotional way. Sometimes in a cognitive intellectual way but not always.

With respect, it could be something induced by stress, but if you feel like it's affecting your life and out of your control at any point, seek proper guidance as soon as possible.
