1. Felt like a crazy person having to defend this guy against people who have said hes just tall the last two years, an absolute monster of a player. Sure im happy i dont have to watch him anymore bc it doesnt create a fun style of baskwtball but also bc hes just so damn good and effective and made purdue tick.

  2. 1.Dunn 2.Sallis 3.Devon Carter 4.Holland 5.TSJ

  3. If Ware is one of the most athletic big men in the draft this is a very not athletic class. Not very explosive at all.

  4. Seeing people comparing us to the Yankees dynasty makes me so sad that I went to the university during the dark years not that long ago where we never even made the tournament lol.

  5. I dont think people forget, people just dont care about it bc its surrounded by titles on both sides. A 6 year dark period w 4 titles surrounding it isnt a sympathetic situation

  6. Super interesting statistic and it’s a small sample size and it’s cherry picked..

  7. Im assuming Rebound % is down even though oreb and dreb % went up bc were turning the ball over less so theres more total offensive rebound possibilities being accounted for in the total

  9. haha his wife said hes makingtiktoks with her again so I think hes ok with it, but i get it, its just so funny seeing it flash by would get me every time

  10. Been asking for this for years, soder is the ultimate podcast guest, hes so good at adapting to whoevers pod hes on and is always funny

  11. Saw him open for Nick last year he was ok not bad not great

  12. Both are great, the cellar is legendary and an experience worth having, with some of the top comedians in the city, but the Stand is also very good comedians and is definitely more comfortable and has really good food and drinks. You also have to plan further ahead for the Cellar and get tickets without knowing lineups whereas you can usually get Stand tickets week of while knowing the lineups.

  13. If I do comedy cellar should I do the MacDougal street location or village underground?

  14. Do the MacDougal location if youre coming in from out of town. Its the classic location so if youre making an event out of it might as well see the original. The other locations are also good as someone who lives in town the tickets book slightly slower which is nice. But if youre coming and want to see what its all about go to the original its a smaller tighter room.

  15. Connelly clearly believes in length and girth to win. Second team he's built with that as a core premise.

  16. Breaking News: Tim Connelly signs Drake

  17. It doesn't look like an absurd overpay anymore and some of the heat Gobert took was overboard, but it was still a lot to give up for a player who is pretty one-dimensional. A correct trade can still be an expensive trade.

  18. I think most reasonable wolves fans would agree it was a lot to pay while also still being happy w Rudy. The players traded were three bench players who really shouldnt get a ton of time on a real playoff team (vando, bev, beas) plus a guy we had just taken late first who is a worse version of rudys archetype and prob wasnt gonna play a ton over KAT and Naz who people didnt even consider a good pick until he had a good rookie year. The picks, the bet was obviously two fold that the wolves would be good enough to make them lower picks aka bigger crapshoots and that none of the picks turn into as big of an impact player as rudy. So yes its a lot but theres also a good chance no one they give up ends up being a real playoff impaxt player ever so why not get an almost automatic good regular season team w rudy. Rudy makes the picks you give up worse for the most part.

  19. KAT injury + DLo really held things back last year, once Conley came things clicked more and now that KATs been healthy its been another level

  20. The Archie teams absolutely had this feel at times too, let us not ever downplay the misery of the Archie era

  21. Better than "fringe blue bloods" who haven't been relevant all that much recently and are in non Power 5 football conferences (or even just SEC/Big 10 conferences).

  22. UNC is a better job than michigan st and duke. UNC belongs on that tier w Kansas and Kentucky more than Duke does. Until Duke proves the job is more than Coach K.

  23. Indiana and Arizona didn’t have Izzo. The jobs are of similar quality, not the coaches who have held them.

  24. People in this thread have a hard time disassociating the school from the coach the way theyre talking about Mich St. its certainly a good job opp but you cant only hold a school to Izzos standard

  25. A week late, but thought Bosco on Dog Walk drafts was a guaranteed good episode but he was horrendous on the Sports Tradition one.

  26. “The fans love when we hash out the rules of the draft on the draft” uh no we dont ed, the whole super bowl thing was idiotic. Agreed they need more rotation, its the same tired bits and jokes.

  27. This is just my take, but I suppose the luck aspect goes a long way with the perceived value. The more first round picks you have, then there's a higher summation chance of getting a good (or better) player. Like getting more lottery tickets. You're likely not going to increase your chances substantially, but at least having multiple does increase your chances somewhat.

  28. Yup, its the same reason NFL teams trade down for multiple picks.

  29. The Heat have drafted Bam (13) Herro (14) and Jaimie (18). If you have a competent front office first rounders are extremely valuable

  30. Same front office took Beasley second, winslow 10, and took Achiuwa right before Maxey. Draft picks are valuable but its still a huge toss up, competent or not.

  31. No one questions the grimace shake being a pick when its a pick for the same reason the eclipse was, it took over internet memes

  32. Have any other recent coaching changes resulted in as many players following their coach to his new school? Not trying to be hyperbolic, just genuinely curious.

  33. Happened last year w Colorado and Jackson St too. You all can be upset but its definitely saltiness. Coaches leave smaller schools and take players all the time, now that its the NIL era its only gonna be more prominent. All these comments taking pot shots at IUs program really are just silly. Its not hard to see why theyd want to go play for a guy theyve played for for years and had success with rather than go into more unknown situations. This isnt a decade ago, now that players have as much freedom of movement as coaches do, players dont feel as abandoned by coaches who leave especially whwn they reach out and want to bring them.

  34. I'm pretty sure Kelsey Grammer's role as Frasier Crane on Cheers was only meant to be for a few episodes as part of a love triangle between Sam and Diane.

  35. After the Glasnow trade, i woukd say he would probably make the most impact in added wins to the Mets.

  36. The Giants are trapped with the Dodgers and Dbacks but the Mets dont have the braves and phillies to deal w?

  37. The Wolves looked so great on paper with Rudy allowing KAT to slide down to PF and attack massive perimeter mismatches, a plethora of good defensive wings, two high quality creators, and a near-elite perimeter scorer. It felt crazy that they didn't work out last season, but a back injury in your star defensive center will do that.

  38. The weird part was just that people always tried to say that they loves ant but also the wolves should only make moves that aligned w a him being 27 timeline. Like the guys a beast hes shown so much, maybe “going all in” is a better method than trying to string things along for years.

  39. Beating SEC teams only matters for your argument if youre also in the SEC apparently

  40. I had some beef with that Dallas drive in the 4th quarter with the bad DPI call in favor of Lamb and the obvious push off from Ferguson on his TD.

  41. There were egregious calls throughout the game, rewatch the ferguson TD, there is not even remotely a push off. Adams is just so bad and clueless of where the ball is that his momentums not going towards the ball. He basically just whifs on ferg
