1. Confidence. I've known so many people who say things with a confident, secure and dominant tone, only to find out later on they don't know what they're talking about.

  2. I’m so sorry OP. I hope you could find resources for therapy. This is the only way I could see it might help.

  3. My friend took me and my dog in when I left an abusive relationship with practically nothing, and it saved my life. Go with your gut. You know your friend better than anyone on the internet. If people stopped doing nice things for each other out of unfounded fear, the world would be a pretty shitty place.

  4. So true, and you never know when it’s your turn that needs help. People are down on their luck sometimes. The world is already a shitty place with all the wars and financial crisis.

  5. If that’s the smallest frame and you’re very short, then they may need to do things like put narrower handlebars or a shorter stem (the part that connects the bars to the frame), or even cut the seatpost.

  6. Thanks for the detailed explanation. Yeah, I tried other bikes at REI and they weren't comfortable ( except for the COOP but it's a little heavy) so I can't imagine this one would magically fit. And yes, my size seems always XS in different brands.

  7. Are you more torso or more legs? Are you within the height suggested for the bike you want?

  8. I think most people probably thought you did that on purpose so that's why they didn't tell you. I saw people not wearing panties and showing their vulvas sometimes time so having the boobs out doesn't seem like an odd thing to do LOL.

  9. Location, vibe, restaurants, bars all catered to a younger crowd at Cosmo.

  10. Cosmo also has the Marque club which was the hottest club before Covid (not sure which one is now). Their beach club was also awesome. Perfect for younger crowd. Location is also very center.

  11. I find there are not many short Italian words end in a. Or I don't know how to look?

  12. The Crystal’s Shops have free parking 11am-10pm and the Fashion Show Mall has free parking but they only have one entrance open after hours.

  13. "sorry my cat was stepping on my phone" is how I would have explained that hefty text.

  14. Russia is low on weapons now. North Korea has lots of weapons. As far as I know they build their own.

  15. This is a good theory. I can see China doing that. The idea of NK has enough weapons to supply Russia is less plausible.

  16. This looks like like Vietnam. He obviously did not have many chances to practice.

  17. I would say it’s better to travel when you have some perspective on life too.

  18. 💯I traveled a lot in my 20s and to be honest, I enjoy it much more now that I’m in my 40s. I feel like you appreciate little things more when you get older and you don’t waste time for nonsense. Also much wiser.

  19. When we were in our 20s traveling, we felt like we had to see and do everything or it was a waste of a trip. We'd be exhausted. Technically saw a lot. But didn't have the ability to see how trips should play other crucial roles such as a way to unplug, reconnect as a couple, appreciate the smaller differences in cultures. There is so much more to appreciate than the "main attractions".

  20. Exactly! Everything is a blur now. I felt like I had to go back to all those places to actually experience it.

  21. I do sometimes, when the boobs in question are big and there's cleavage. Then I am like :O

  22. I like how you used the word “ fascinated”. It’s truly is when someone has them insanely huge. So many questions.

  23. Wait! Since when Hilary Swank became hot?? She has made some good, impressive movies but has never been considered hot.

  24. Thank you for sharing. I love the Glass Castle and Read it like 3 times. Jeanette Walls is such a good writer and I love her sense of humor. Must have gotten it from her dad.

  25. It depends. An abused child can go the other way too and be overly aggressive/rude. You can’t assume anything as generally true when it comes to trauma.

  26. Agreed. My child is incredibly polite and well behaved and the only abuser here is him to us when he is having a bad day. He never gets trouble at school and is always a rule follower but at home it is a different story a lot of time. But I agree that there is some boldness involved in different kids. Mine is definitely not. He is cautious most of the time. He is different at home because he knows we won’t do anything hard on him.

  27. Just wanted to add, it doesn’t need to be from the opposite sex or sexual relationships. A child’s love can be so fulfilling and satisfying, at least for me. Especially for someone who didn’t even have a loving childhood.

  28. Numbers can be recycled, though that's rather uncommon in my experience. The best advise I can give is if the person on the other end sounds suspicious, it's most likely a scam. Legitimate calls from any government organization will almost always start with the person identifying themselves and the agency they work for very clearly. The mention of the heavy foreign accent alone is a major red flag.

  29. Right! That’s what I thought. But then I’m also thinking the world has changed and people come from different nationalities are working for the government now…there are Japanese, Venezuelan and so on in the big SF Immigration office when I went.

  30. I can call you and have caller ID show you any number I like. So this is irrelevant.

  31. They could only get to the “US custom” and I already yelled some nasty thing at them.
