1. How was the disability retirement process?

  2. It's not a hard process. You need to be precise and to the point with paperwork. I tore my meniscus in each knee at work, and then arthritis set in, so I had a lot of rehab and doctors' notes. Being a corrections officer, there was no job that I could be retrained for. I turned in a huge packet of stuff. I didn't need lawyers or help, I just documented everything. Back everything up and be patient. It took me three months to be approved. I had 14 years in the BOP and two years TSA.

  3. I empathize with your frustration because I am going through the process right now myself. Tore up my ACL and compounded the injury because medics told me I was fine when it happened the first time. I've had 22 years in the USMS, and only 3 out of full retirement. My story sounds similar to yours: They cant put me nowhere, so its either go back to full duty against doctors orders, med retirement or quit. I spent the last month converting my experience into a civilian resume the best I can, so I can start applying. Part of the difficulty is, I spent the last 22 years doing security style work, and physically cant do that any longer.

  4. Hang in there. If you need any help, message me. I will do my best to help. Take care

  5. Uhm…. Just fyi, we don’t really have sheep in Florida, it’s a lil warm for them I think?

  6. We do have sheep Barbados sheep, a small short hair breed.

  7. Canada is run by little Fidel, no thanks...it isn't the same country that I visited as a kid..liberal schmucks..

  8. Those people who say federal prisons are horrible are incorrect. The feds is one of the better prisons to do time in. I have worked private, state, and county and retired from the feds. As far as Maxwell, she is in PC (protective custody). There is no way they would allow a high-profile inmate in gp (general pop). The feds have very good living arrangements with numerous tvs, recreation, and educational opportunities. Every building is air conditioned, and all inmates have access to medical and a chow hall. Each person is assigned to a casemanager, unit counselor, and unit secretary, and these staff are in every house with a unit manager overseeing. Yes, prisons have trouble, but most inmates police themselves. Now, as far as state prisons, there is no ac, but inmates have access to tablets, tv, and medical. State prison is no picnic, and each inmate is warned about PREA or Prison Rape Elimination Act and need to report it. Inmates aren't nuns, especially females, I have had them brag about killing their kids and lovers...

  9. Just make sure you run a cleaning patch through it once in a while and oil.

  10. I still don't trust him or his week arm!!!

  11. Angry Maga bingo 😆 I am only telling the truth. Terrible area, most people say Belize or the sewer Nassau, but those ports have some redeeming qualities. We know those countries have borderline sketchy governments. We live in the US, and there is no excuse for poverty and crime present in such a big tourist area. Also, there is no excuse for the way people act on cruise ships!!! I sat at a table and observed these animals, yes animals, no distinction between races, act like they had not eaten in years!!

  12. New Orleans!! A complete dirty shithole, homeless begging everywhere. I can understand if you are down and out, but damn most of the homeless are young and don't want to work. I just got off the Carnival Valor, and my God, it was the ghetto boat. There were security everywhere on the boat. You couldn't walk more than ten feet without bumping into one. My kid wanted to go on the Valor, and he learned his lesson. Never again, I can't take that much weave, fake eye lashes...

  13. White people need to leave SA. Let the black people take over and wait. Within two years come back and pick up what is left!!!

  14. I just got off a cruise last weekend and mainly drank water and soda. I am going to buy a non alcohol package and pay for mixed drinks ala cart next time. I wasted money...

  15. You're doing fantastic, man! Keep a close eye on yourself to make sure your body is holding up and power through, you got this!

  16. Awesome cuts, good work. Nice striations....

  17. Yes but smaller town in panhandle not near a major city

  18. I live in Jackson County and after Hurricane Michael hit, the local farmers cleared the roads with their tractors. Local churches fed everyone it was a time that eveyone came together.

  19. I just did that excursion last week through NCL. It was great. The crew was fun, there were margaritas and beer (and soft drinks), and the snorkeling and beach were great experiences. Don't forget to bring cash to tip the crew and buy snorkeling pics.

  20. Great, I leave out of Port Can March 19. My kid really wants this excursion. Thanks so much...

  21. Thanks everyone. I am going to book it.

  22. Travel insurance was a life savior last year when my family and got Covid on a back to back cruise on the MSC Seashore. I highly recommend it!!

  23. Hey guys I am looking for a style that doesn't stress the knees. Both my knees have to be replaced and i am in my late 40s. I studied judo for many years and goju ryu for almost as long. I need some exercise and miss martial arts. I was thinking Kali/Escrima any advice? Please note i am a woman and overweight.

  24. My kid goes to a school that is 95 percent white. The black kids in the school know to keep their shit together because living in a rural area, there is plenty of farmland, and the local farmers don't play games I am from Miami, but the Feds moved me to the middle of nowhere, Florida, in the panhandle. The area is called Flobama, and it is a different world. Blacks are respectful, and the Mexicans work in the fields. I was in a culture shock when I moved here! I am use to being friendly with everyone 🙃 but now I keep to myself. I remember during the Trump/Clinton fiasco, old Slick Willy rolled into town to campaign for the She-Devil, and he stopped at the local mom/pop restaurant and the owner camp out and told him So sorry Mr. President, it would be in your best interest to go to the next county. 😉

  25. Your cruise is going to be lots of fun 😆 🤣 bring lots of bail money and zip tie cutters.....

  26. Have fun and be patient. Bring small bills as far as money and take your passport with you in port. Buy insurance, and unless you are a big drinker, do not buy the unlimited drink pass. Try a few of the specialty restaurants. Start a list and pack based on your list. Don't forget you are on vacation...oh be adventurous, especially with the food try a little of everything 😉

  27. Dumbass, people like this keep me in business. F.ck up in international waters and come to the Feds, we will keep the light on for you 😆 I have a nice three man 6x9 cell, and I can even issue you a slightly used pillow with a comfy mattress....or better yet stay in your parents basement 😉

  28. 😆 🤣 take a look in the mirror and grow some b.lls. Take the cruise and stop worrying about getting your a.. kicked. Carnival is a fun ship known as the floating Walmart of the Seas...

  29. Save yourself some money and avoid the private gun ranges, etc. Find out which sheriff department is offering the concealed course. Where I am at Jackson County, the local department is offering the course for 50 dollars, and they are friendly. You don't need pushy range officers trying to get you to buy over priced firearms. I also recommend small calibers such as a 22, 32, or the sweet Glock 43 380. Remember, you are in Florida, and it gets hot, sticky, so you don't need a darn 45, if you must, the 9 is the largest caliber. Light weight comfort....Also, Academy occasionally has some great deals on firearms. I would look for a decent gun show, not the bullsh.t Tallahassee one. Do your homework and look around. I myself buy from blue label dealers due to my background and work.

  30. After listening to everyone I am so glad to have USAA as my homeowners policy insurer. I used to have Citizens when I lived in Miami and after Andrew when I was in college Citizens dropped everyone. Being 19 years old trying to figure out insurances was no fun!! Back in 2018 Hurricane Michael struck and i lost the roof on the house and over 70 trees but USAA stuck with me Thank God.

  31. Where in FL are you moving too? Florida has a lot of great adventures to get into depending on your location. Oh by the way welcome to one of the last free open states.
