It actually kinda pisses me off the only superhero movies nominated for BP have been Joker and Black Panther. Like, Black Panther is good and Joker is fine, but they are nowhere near BP material, while actual great movies like Spider-verse get snubbed.

Not what I was expecting visually at all, I like how it looks though. Unfortunately the voices and comedy are not sounding good at all.

While I'm very much in favor of having TV series on Letterboxd, games can be such a different medium that I just don't think it would be worth it. It would overcomplicate things and disrupt the "purity" of the site for lack of a better word. I'd sooner say they should add books I think.

Disagree, but only because I think you misused gatekeeping. You described someone who is passionate about a hobby with a discerning opinion. Somebody who is gatekeeping won't have that conversation about movies with you as soon as they find out you haven't seen north by northwest. Why bother? You don't know enough about film to have the conversation.

Exactly. Honestly I find the actual gatekeepy people tend to be less knowledgable or discerning in a subject than they think they are.

The fact that they've cast Liam Neeson, a guy not really known for comedic roles, tells me that maaaybe they get it. This still feels massively unnecessary though.

Leslie Nielsen wasn't a comedic actor in the beginning either. I think this will work.
