From what I've read, you need to win 50 matches before unlocking most things in OW2 (I don't know if this also true for chat).
Golden weapons should not be a competitive reward, instead they should be rewarded by winning X amount of games with a certain hero in ranked or unranked.
This is my Breton healer, the illumination in this place makes her look really cool in my opinion :)
