1. Seney nature preserve is excellent for this. Not only do they have lots of trails etc but there are rangers(?not sure their exact title) that can help you out. Have fun and don't go at the height of bug season

  2. Every veichle, work personal ect, I've ever brought to Lakeside came back unfixed, but they will claim up and down they fixed it, and charge 1.5x as much as any good shop. They also talk to women like they're stupid. I'd avoid.

  3. Wow, it's like we're talking about a different place. They've always fixed everything we took in (domestic and foreign) and noted which parts were under warranty and made sure we got those parts for free. We even bought a used car from them 4 years ago that's doing great. I'm a woman and the guys have always been kind and helpful. They charge less than dealerships but more than "I know I guy in pelkie who....", which is fair to me.

  4. Yeah, my most recent personal veichle (they've fucked the work van worse already this year) they didnt look, told me a random completely unrelated part was the problem, and quoted $125/hr for what turned out to be a serpentine belt/pulley situation that was about $100 in parts and 1 hr labor (which was $80, like most places here that arent dealerships)

  5. Hmmm....well, we've been going there since early 2000s and have a completely different opinion. (This is the place in Ripley btw). They're always booked out well in advance and have expanded over the years so some people like them. More for us I guess.

  6. Bread loafers up in Hancock has a storefront and some fantastic bread. Roy's is great too.

  7. Just so you know, there are apps on Android for looking up the installation instructions and other info for Schlage and other Allegion products.

  8. Thanks for the link. They had a good picture but I don't know German. I'm still a bit unclear how the exact attack works. Seems like it could just as easily disable the lock as allow for entrance.

  9. They spray acid on the lock, then go away for some time. After they return, they can force the door open. I'm not going to explain how, don't think the mods would appreciate. The text is very unclear if anyone actually succeeded to break into a place using this method. But they did find some locks covered in acid over the past years

  10. This makes a lot of sense. I'm thinking the thieves heard of this method and tried it but didn't get anywhere but it obviously alarmed a lot of people.

  11. Still waiting for the Eagle Mine catastrophe you all have been promising.

  12. Right. I know it's an unpopular opinion but I'd rather the mining happened here with tons of oversight for the environment and workers than in a 3rd world country where both are being horribly exploited.

  13. Very often, the people at the retail store are there just to sell you things, and are often unable to deal with other account-related things, so they have to call someone who can.

  14. Right. It's just that it seems wasteful. I'm sitting in a Verizon store and switching accounts is eating up like an hour of this poor guys time.

  15. I get that. But My guess is that the reason that it's done this way is because when you are dealing with billing issues and someone is asking for some kind of refund or accommodation, it's a lot easier to say "no" when the person isn't right in front of you. This allows the local rep to to go bat for you, but when they fail, it's not the fault of anyone in the store.

  16. Wild guess but sometimes bird poop is full of seeds like this and can end up anywhere😂

  17. I used to think the death penalty was entirely justified. Don't want to die? Don't do the crime. Then I grew up and learned that everything was waaay more complicated than all that.

  18. We were in Nikko Japan eating at a small restaurant and only after we were done did we notice the cash only sign. Panic! I ran all over town trying to get an ATM to work but no. Trudged back in defeat and an old woman who worked in the adjoining business pulled out her change purse (yes, the old fashioned kind) and paid for our dinner. The next day I sorted out the ATM issue and went back to pay her plus some and when I held out my hand with the cash and much bowing, she curled my hand back up and pushed it toward me and said, "you need." Thank you kind old Japanese lady!

  19. I remember this! But my favorite ad is missing, the dude with goofy glasses.😭

  20. Just to clarify I'm not worried about getting in any trouble, I just don't want the drama of her coming home with me changing locks.

  21. i went there 1st through 5th 81 to 85

  22. 93 for me too, i think some of my teachers were ms heinz,ms bloomfield, mr bush.

  23. I'd be waaayyyy more concerned about biting insects. They can be terrible in some spots.

  24. You're telling me you leave the shop without an arc welder in the van?

  25. Amputee socks--they cover the stub...

  26. If you have questions, they have a phone number!
