1. Incorrect, the opportunity cost remains the same for opening any card. Instead of the robinhood card you could sign up for a card with $500-1000 SUB.

  2. Those typically only require $4k of spend in a few months. That could easily be achieved in 1-2 months. Now you can start using the RH card after you get that SUB. You'll hit a point where you no longer qualify for new cards if you try this every 2-3 months.

  3. The point is, applying for the RH card counts as a hard-pull, a hard-pull that could have been used to get a card with a SUB. The apples-to-apples-to-apples comparison is this:

  4. I agree churning is better but most people can't have a card they are currently churning every day of the year, so they have their preferred cards they use in between SUBs. This is a great non-category spend card, versus chasing SUBs and then using a 2% card in between.

  5. 1.5% is not great, no one here has ever said it was. 2% is the bare minimum for cash back as there are many cards that offer it with no AF.

  6. Don't do that, you're losing half the value. If you have zero travel expenses buy a refundable flight, redeem for past travel, then cancel for a refund.

  7. It tells you how many points you get after placing an order, do you see that?

  8. All I see is a list of when I refill the card and when I make a purchase, but I can't click on it for more details. It's in the transaction history of the Dunkin card itself, not the order tab in the app. But it says right on the card splash page that I can scan that QR code for points and they do and I still don't get any.

  9. Add the gift card to the app and pay via the app

  11. https://robinhood.com/creditcard?referral_code=f03a6f99

  12. This is why you should look at the price before charging.

  13. Great info for the eclipse, fingers crossed

  14. Does she have another chase points card to transfer them to?

  15. Alliant is awesome. No AF and you just need to direct deposit $1 a month and tie $1k with them to be eligible for 2.5% cashback on their credit card

  16. But you're losing out on ~$60/year in potential interest if that $1k was in a HYSA

  17. The email I received from Robinhood literally calls it a “cash back” card.

  18. Which you can't redeem for cash as a statement credit or towards a bank of your choosing.

  19. Hyundai hasn’t announced when it will be available so a long time from now. Probably 2025

  20. I'm going to go to the supercharger every day and try it 😂 I'm that big of a nerd Edit: All the down votes Y'all are no fun.

  21. Waste of time because it won't work until Tesla adds Hyundai support to their app and there will be an announcement

  22. Did you have a stroke writing that title?

  23. Have you already tried working with the garage to resolve the issue?

  24. It’s an entirely machine operated garage. No people that man anything.

  25. There’s gotta be a phone number posted somewhere to contact them

  26. Bruh there are 2 USB ports in that picture...

  27. Not worth it, too many horror stories of them doing the equivalent of a duct tape fix and needing to call them back multiple times with a long wait in between each.

  28. Wrong. I live in NH and work in MA. I pay non resident tax and they owe me a refund every year.

  29. If you live in NH and work in MA on-site, you owe that state income tax. It's only refunded if you work in NH. Just because you claim it incorrectly doesn't mean it's fact. If you get audited you're screwed.

  30. That battery is toast if it's at 4v, I'd think

  31. Nah, mine died twice to 5v months ago and after fixing the 3rd party app issue hasn’t happened again and no issues.

  32. I'd be immediately asking for a new battery; the stock Hyundai battery is trash, too.

  33. I did ask, they said they tested the battery and it was healthy so no replacement

  34. No real management for them. They do what they want and when they want. We have tickets 2-6 months old that are untouched. Stupid management structure gives them a loop hole for not being accountable.

  35. Seems like they were caught off guard and scrambling.

  36. Does your car support CCS? Not all Tesla’s do. I’m not sure when the support was added to the Model S.

  37. It always baffles me how inefficient US appliances are. My standby usage is 2.5 kWh per day. That includes a big fridge/freezer and a smaller additional freezer.

  38. Many people here have a moderate to large home networking setup, that can easily consume a few hundred watts by itself. The appliances aren’t the culprit. Then add in things like smart devices (devices with rechargeable batteries, bulbs, switches, google homes or Alexa devices, etc)

  39. 70-80 Watt (Fridge, IT stuff, Standby devices)

  40. Is that monitoring your entire panel or are you just assuming based on monitoring specific devices? That’s incredibly low

  41. Couldn't care less. The effort of juggling cards - not worth it. 2% flat and I'm a happy camper.

  42. I understand that, but you can maximize some areas without needing to juggle cards. Get the Cash+ for 5% back on utilities and setup auto pay, no need to carry that card. Use the Amazon and target cards for their apps, never need to carry them. I have my default mobile payment set to the Citi CC for groceries, no need to carry a card.

  43. You don't have to carry but still need to keep an eye, auto pay is good but if I want to be in control then it doesn't work. 2% flat is a better deal over all.
