1. yep it's equivalant of a low ranked knight, store manager if u will

  2. Comparison is the thief of joy. There's people 5 years younger than me at my M7, I'm networking with Product Managers that are 3 years out of undergrad, I bet I'll be working for someone younger than me at some point in my career.

  3. 1000% correct and even I still struggle with this but this comment reminded me that it’s more about our own journey than where others are. Thank you friend!

  4. I had a friend get a return offer from Deloitte but still recruited MBB. He got it and has been much happier even tho he’s not in consulting any more.

  5. I caved and bought three single arms... for a 27 flanked by two 24s... It's pretty badass, but literally paid $450...

  6. I believe secretlab sells a triple monitor arm that works with the desk so I would go with that for the best chance of working good

  7. Wait really I don’t see that on their site? Is there a link for that?

  8. What is the monitor mount you ended up going with?

  9. What is the term for when people only train the aesthetic muscles? I know I’ve heard a term about people only doing type of workout or training their muscles but can’t think of what is.

  10. I've heard it as the vanity muscles

  11. It’s easy to complain abiut consulting, but all careers are this way. High hours, high stress, no support, etc etc. If your life is going to be this regardless, might as well get paid

  12. No, no they are not. I work in video games as an ex consultant and we get paid very well and have almost no stress and amazing wlb

  13. Can I DM you? Been looking into opps like this and that’s a good sell…

  14. Sure I won’t be able to share too much about myself but can def give you tips

  15. Just like OP’s post, your post described EXACTLY my situation and what I did today. Thanks for sharing since it’s helpful to see others going through the same thing!

  16. I always look out for these tips to get the most of the workouts. Thanks for sharing these!

  17. Or we could accept that capitalism and the future of our planet don't work and not elect liberals anymore. We could do that.

  18. Listen here, you smooth-brained twerp--I can tell your train of thought is a replacement bus service, but still, just for fun, let's unpack what you've said in your comments so far:

  19. Lol you know the judge who just struck down the mask mandate cuz “masks don’t prevent Covid infections”? She’s a lower court judge appointed by Trump, something that happens with a majority senate. You must be either a) a conservative troll or b) too myopic to see past your own cynicism but Supreme Court vacancies aren’t the only things to consider.

  20. Good--she made the right decision. Legally, the mandate did exceed the CDC's authority, and practically, it helped the Democrats. Moderate and independent voters have serious Covid fatigue; enforcing the mask mandate at this point is only going to keep depressing Democratic chances of keeping the...

  21. Great. I didn’t start this discussion to change your mind as these online discussions rarely do. Rather than get an interest free loan, I’m glad you’ve chosen the responsible path of being saddled with debt you don’t need (and shouldn’t have in the first place). My 401k thanks you for paying your share back to the banks so our stocks can continue to rise.

  22. The way real people drive is the reason for AI cars in the first place.

  23. They may not be wrong 100% of the time, but 100% of the time they are wrong about something they believe.

  24. Ask yourself why someone else should believe something that you believe in and that’s when you’ll discover what evidence is.

  25. And you'll find the evidence is against conservatives most of the time.

  26. Damn I actually meant this comment to apply to posada. Oh well.

  27. I bet you OP doesn't talk to his partners this way about simple tech solutions or things they may not know how to do. This post reeks of self-righteousness and lack of empathy for those going through different circumstances.

  28. Ah, sorry. You're completely right. I should have interrupted my client meeting to take the time to show the second year staff how to rotate a PDF, because if they didn't get a response they would have twiddled their thumbs for 45 minutes while they waited for a response because they can't possibly move onto the other 20 workpapers assigned to them, or asked the intern, or other staff, or senior.

  29. God forbid you ever have to ask a partner how to coach or mentor a team member?

  30. A world where people who work can't afford to live near their work [alone] is kinda fucked.

  31. Depends on what you do. If you want to do something that doesn’t pay very well, it’s perfectly reasonable to not be able to earn a lot.

  32. Is there any sources that show that? I'd gladly admit to being wrong if so.

  33. Firstly, I appreciate you asking for data, I wasn’t expecting internet folks to want to consider data so thank you.

  34. Thanks, this is incredibly surprising to me, it goes against what MSM has said constantly but I trust more in this type of data so MSM must not be telling the truth in these regards. It's incredibly sad to learn and means that the youth are being severely under-represented.

  35. I actually haven’t seen MSM ever say young people vote in higher numbers but perhaps they did say they voted more in the recent election. Regardless, what is saddest to me is that unlike under-representation of minorities, lack of mail-in voting for people with work or disabilities, etc, the youth vote is just malaise and lack of knowledge/laziness. Solving this in 2016 would have given us a 6-3 SCOTUS liberal majority yet here we are worrying about losing abortion rights.

  36. Lol. Meanwhile elsewhere you're arguing that based on its #1 ranking from the prior season, USC should have remained not just #1 but a unanimous #1. That doesn't happen for anybody.

  37. Based on what logic does it not happen? That’s the key. Provide an objective view that returning the 2004 national championship team should not have been unanimous… go ahead, I’ll wait.

  38. Lol the logic is that that was the year before and somebody might be better the next year. So somebody voted for someone else. They were clearly correct, so even if you think they should have used different criteria they're just smarter than you. And if y'all hadn't cheated it wouldn't have been close lol.

  39. Thanks for making my point. Changing their opinion to say someone else could now be better without any objective reasoning IS bias haha. Well done, couldn’t have said it better myself.
