1. How many people depend on these for work, though? I'm all for shifting to a different industrial base, but just closing these would screw a lot of people over.

  2. Have you ever considered that your bad experience with one woman is not indicative of an entire gender? Have you thought about how women are human beings, individuals with their own unique thoughts and feelings?

  3. Yeah sounds like somebody went down the Tate hole

  4. Just try. Yeah you’re older and have different experiences and yada yada, but truthfully if you’re an undergrad you have more in common with them than you do grad students and people your age who graduated college. You’re all adults, they can make up their mind whether you’re too old or not. If you don’t, you risk being even older down the line thinking “I’m not at the same level as other 30 year olds and have more in common with people post grad but I’m older than them and is it weird?” You’re not getting any younger and you’re not THAT old right now. Give them the respect to make the decision for themselves instead of taking it from them.

  5. I've driven up and down I95 several times and whenever I see someone driving poorly like not keeping lanes, driving slowly on the left lane, driving in someone's blind spot, tailgating, etc it always ends up being a NY or Florida plate. The person driving 20 over the limit and passing everyone on the left ends up being NJ plate even down south in South Carolina. Idk if it's just me but it really does seem like NJ drivers are always trying to get where they're going as quick as possible.

  6. Yes because usually we’ve been stuck behind a PA or NY driver camping in the left lane

  7. This version of Crash with Paul McCandless.

  8. Don’t overthink your writing. Seriously. Getting it done is what matters. Do you think your professor is deep diving into your papers? Think of how many pages are assigned and how many other people are in your course. Your professor has to read pages of legit academic research and make some themselves. Do you think they want to spend hours and hours of their time reading undergrad essays?Your professor is skimming the paper to see if you did what the rubric said. Make your paper skimmable and you will do well. Also, discussion posts? Ask yourself this: how many discussion posts do you actually read? How many total are there for your class? Your professor is not reading all that. They’re using the analytics of the online system to see if you posted and how many posts you made. They usually aren’t deep diving into your writing.

  9. Well yeah , nobody is choosing to live in Wilkes Barre on purpose

  10. Right? It's like saying "isn't it nuts that you have to pay $80 for Kobe beef when you could spend $4 and get a bucket of feces?"

  11. Pretty much every job market in the valley that isn’t healthcare or warehouse is crap

  12. Hop on to 78 near Easton or Pburg. It’s not a bad drive after that and fairly easy

  13. Noah is in a weird spot and really shows how TikTok has influenced music. He technically would be in his “playing festival undercards as one of the last acts before the headliners” phase. Like a lot of people said, he would be expected to be playing most of these fests anyway, just a lower spot on the roster. However, his music blew up on TikTok so much that the crowds he draws are headliner level crowds. Like Oceans Calling last year, you can’t have him as a subheadliner when he’s drawing a headline level audience. So he skipped a few pegs and is a headliner now. It’s a bit like the Lumineers. I love them, I’ve seen them and they put on a hell of a show, but it’s not really Festival headliner music. But they took the longer gradual route to headline status.

  14. You THINK but you do not know. It will drive you insane. Also, with Philly you’re going to get taxed federal, NJ state, PA state, PA local, and Philly city tax. Take that into account.

  15. I think the better option here given your responses is you need to ask for a higher salary since it doesn’t afford you enough to get an apartment nearby.

  16. I-78 W is horrible too, west of 222 all the way into Berks County. The right lane - and only the right lane for some reason - has a crazy amount of bumps. I’ll often cruise in the left lane just to avoid them until I see someone approaching who wants to pass me.

  17. That side of the road has been like that since AT LEAST 2013. Pennsylvania should be sued for how dangerously shitty the roads are. It’s ridiculous.

  18. Crazy they’re playing Asbury Park twice in a month

  19. You’ve been spamming the board with all these stupid ridiculous threads. Stop trolling. Wish we had mods who would take care of it

  20. 2:51 of Lights Out Words Gone by Bombay Bicycle Club. I can't really put it into words what it does to my head, but the way the song drops out to that guitar riff, it's both soothing, nostalgic, driving, melancholy, uplifting, everything everywhere all at once. It just makes me think of life. I can't really describe it.

  21. Tim has covered In Your Eyes solo, and it's great. The Passion intro to Warehouse that's often done in older Dave & Tim shows is also a Peter Gabriel cover. Dave and Friends and DMB both covered Solsbury Hill. Tim has also covered Mercy Street solo

  22. Pennsylvanians especially. You'd think people from a state with 70 MPH speed limits would be at least a little acquainted with driving at normal human being speeds.

  23. Because they go 10 under in PA too. They’ve never ridden a horse that goes that fast

  24. Last year was excellent and will be hard to top imo. I think a lot of ppl are disappointed this year bc they are spoiled by last year's card. Only thing for me last years lineup was after beach boys and weezer I worked my way all the to the front so couldn't give up my spot for foos and missed Mt joy, royal blood and rebelution

  25. I missed Breeders, Royal Blood, and Nathaniel Rateliff last year. So happy I saw Mt Joy though. They were awesome

  26. Bruce Springsteen in Asbury Park is wild. For that reason alone, the festival is not “cooked” like you said. Yes, there were sound issues which I’m sure will be fixed this year + I think they’re going to do something with the blankets. I agree with it being oversold.

  27. Noah, The Hives, Peaches, Robert Randolph, Joe P are the ones I’ve heard of and assume will be good. The rest are probably good too I just haven’t really listened to them

  28. You’ve gotta stay outside of Asbury. You won’t find anything there. I stay in Tinton Falls or Eatontown and take an Uber to and from (which is a whole other nightmare but it is what it is). Neptune also has some hotels. Or like others said you can stay in other shore towns like Ocean Grove or Avon, or Long Branch. You could also grab the train and stay somewhere along the train line

  29. You do not have tickets unless you got a confirmation and credit card charged. I had the same thing happen multiple times before I finally got through.

  30. I have them in my order history so I think hopefully I’m good

  31. Wonder which member he'll move to next. First Boyd, now Leroi....I'm guessing Stefan next.

  32. Turns out he’s moved on to Butch and Peter
