1. Is this stuff a lot stiffer than their normal TPU though once printed?

  2. Yes, for me it seems to be a bit stiffer. This can be great if you want somthing that can take serious impacts but still be pretty rigid. If I want it to flex more I cut down the number of perimeters and infill. May not be the best if you want to make a squishy octopus or something but for functional prints, it's pretty nice.

  3. The part I enjoy is Youtube forces me to watch ads on videos it won't monetize because it has deemed them unsuitable for ad revenue....

  4. i am done with youtube. they are a multi million dollar company, they are a household name.

  5. Running into the same issue and this came up in a search. At least it appears I was doing it "correctly" though it was being blocked.

  6. And what were you drinking at the lounge? What's on tap these days?

  7. Ya know, they didn't have the sign up for what was on tap so I can't really say. I typically grab a cocktail so I didn't really see.

  8. Nice! How did you get the pictures? Did you just happen to look out the window and see it coming? Were you tracking it on Flightradar?

  9. Saw it coming. I did look it up on FlightRadar24 app but didn't save the info. It flew in from JFK if I recall. This was last Friday.

  10. Apologies if this was mentioned but is the internal light brighter for anyone else? Maybe it's the camera sensitivity or the app. I was out of town and did the firmware update before remotely starting a print. Checking the print on the app on my phone, the image is much brighter. Either the light is brighter now or the sensitivity of the camera has changed.

  11. Ran one print this morning in PETG and everything worked as normal. Ran "Print Again' and it did the layer inspection. Now, I did notice that there was a notice that the Lidar camera lens was dirty. I don't recall seeing this last night but I'll clean the lens and see what happens on the next print...

  12. No no it is installed correctly however to me it recognizes the plate only when I flip it on the side where the tab is further away from the aux fan/camera and not the one that is close to it

  13. Ah, gotcha. Yeah, mine is like that as well. Strange that it's happening randomly though.

  14. Both sides of my original plate have the texture stripped off around the back and little spots all over the plate, on both sides, it did not last long at all.

  15. Had the same issue. Contacted support and they sent me a new one. This was a month or more ago so don't know if what I got is the "new" one though.

  16. Ok, I guess the solution for my needs was to split into parts instead of objects. That allowed the windows to stay in place and I could then go through each part and change the filament on them.

  17. What I do is use height range painting on the paint tab looks like 2 sheets on top of each other. If the letters are their own objects you can isolate and paint no issue, if it’s all 1 piece after using the tool you will need to go back and fill in the Walls with a solid color as it paints everything in the height range. I hope that kinda makes sense.

  18. Thanks. I'm messing with it but I think it still wants to use infill in the middle and the wrong color. The floor of that box is 3mm thick. I used the height range set at 3 to turn it all white. Then used Fill on the top and bottom to return everything to black and the sides but it still wants to use black for infill and cross the white letters in the middle layers.

  19. Yeah that's what I did as well just drill a hole in the bottom or side. Also if that winder gives you problems look at the Pastamatic on printables it's a much better design. Not as fancy but so much easier to use.

  20. Thanks. So far it's working pretty good for me. I just do it by hand crank and it seems to do well. It's not putting down perfect layers but I think it will do. My biggest gripe with it is it needs some suction feet or something to better hold the stands in place.

  21. I have used tape on the start and also with cardboard spools, just take the sides off and slide the spool with the cardboard centre onto the reusable spool

  22. I thought about that but the spools I was messing with (I think some cheap Eryone) the center tube was way too big. It would bounce around and spin freely. Are the spools that you do this with more tight fitting to the center of the Bambu spool?

  23. Depends on departure time if not mistaken . Quite a few red eyes seem to leave right after their dinner cutoff.

  24. Hmm, it's the same flight I've always taken. Leaves SEA in the evening arriving at around midnight in MCI. Same thing with my typical flights out. Usually leaving mid to late afternoon from MCI to SEA. Used to have the good ole chicken dinner but now it's smaller offerings. Flight out today is Fruit and Cheese, White Bean Chili, Chicken Rice Bowl, Wedge Salad.

  25. So I'm not the only one who lives in KC. Quick question about MCI, is TSA a problem for a 7 am flight to SEA? In other words how's the line? I've not flown out of the new terminal yet.

  26. Oh, I can't really say as I don't fly mornings. Usually my flights out are the afternoon AS flight(s). And, I have Precheck do that would be a different line too. New terminal is nice though. Except baggage claim and passenger pickup is a mess.

  27. Defective, support should replace. I had the same.

  28. Interesting, thanks. Still, some sort of notification and return of funds would be appropriate I would think.

  29. This is not a surprise to me... but as you mentioned, I also do not know it what order it would choose to cancel.

  30. Sure, that would work but as a 100K with AS, obviously I prefer flying them :)

  31. Hmm this should work. It looks like the plastic was a little bit cold though which may have contributed to the failure. If you want to try .12 again, try to bump the temp 10-15 degrees and maybe slow down the speed a little bit to help reduce nozzle pressures.

  32. Yeah, it was totally an accident and meant to print at .28mm so I hadn't changed any settings.

  33. This looks like you were printing at PLA temps. Petg should be like 255C, and this looks like it was printed at more like 220. That crumbly appearance is classic too cold.

  34. I had PETG selected as the filament. Printing with no changes to setting other than no brim. Just looked and 255C. I've noticed that I get a lot of nozzle drag if I have a lot on the plate for longer prints. Still trying to work out if the compensation isn't calibrating or what is going on. I don't know if I have any photos but I've had times printing fairly full plates and long prints where there are obvious signs that the nozzle is picking up filament and then knocking stuff off on the bed. Oh, found one...

  35. The ground stop and arrival delays were caused by the unfavorable winds...

  36. Interesting, where did you see this? I tried to look up some info but I was busy with trying to get rebooked. I tried to go back and look up past events but I'm not sure how to do that. If I'm reading it right it looks like there's one planned for tomorrow?

  37. #49, LAS Arrival Delays explicitly links the wind and the construction.

  38. I hear ya. Guessing the concern with that wind is the proximity of the strip and tall buildings? Because I think 1R/19L was still open as I did see planes landing from the south.

  39. When my printer finishes, it moves the bed all the way to the back and then all the way to the front. Are you pressing anything before this completes?

  40. On Alaska planes you can tell which wifi it has while boarding…

  41. Actually just look at the plane. Upgraded planes have the "dish" on top. There are places to look up the flight and the plane assigned and you can tell from photos or even the plane model.

  42. All commercial airplanes with wifi and/or live TV will have a “dish” that is covered by a radome (which provides protection from the elements and helps with aerodynamics

  43. Sorta. Alaska planes with the old, slow wifi do not have that. Take the E175 for instance. From what I recall, and I could very well be wrong, the old system relied on air to ground communication which didn't use the dish.

  44. Seems a little big but possible. Are you using the stock nozzle or a different one?

  45. Well, I did one print with retractions turned off and still had the issue. Sadly, I wasn't very good about keeping the sample prints (read: threw them in the trash in frustration) and documenting so I'll have to do a bunch this weekend so I can truly see what changes from print to print. Appreciate the suggestions though.

  46. Thanks. I'll include that in the testing as well. On a couple of the prints yesterday I did try changing the temp +5 and -5 while it was printing and didn't see a change in results.

  47. I was thinking the same. I can't remember exactly but I was thinking of opening a normal taxable brokerage account. But I quickly thought without more research that since I am already using Vanguard with it's low fees I didn't want to deal with another account to manage and deal with Merrill's fees that may be more expensive than Vanguard. Plus, the 10% bonus is nice if I had a checking or savings account already with BofA but there are better institutions I am using now for those accounts lol. If you value one Alaska Airlines mile to be one cent (which varies how you redeem them as they can go up to 1.8 cents per mile according to the internet). A 10% bonus on one mile would then be 1 mile + 10% bonus equates to 1.1 cents if 1 mile is equal to one cent (being devils advocate). So you have to do the cost benefit analysis with the hassle of managing another account, any account restrictions, and making sure the fees of the account don't just wash out any gains from the 10% bonus. I hope I explained what I'm trying to say correctly.

  48. Makes sense. That's why I was asking because I wasn't sure what all would be involved in the Merrill account. If I could just open an account and put a little money in and let it sit then I wouldn't worry too much but if thee is more to it then it's definitely a hassle.

  49. No, the printer is a metal box and should not warp. It is possible the box may be tweaked a bit, but I would definitely inspect the table first.

  50. Yeah, I'll get to checking the bench. Just surprised as it's 2" butcher block but I guess the heat from the bottom of the printer could cause warping in the wood. Regardless, I do need to figure out some way to mitigate the issue though. I guess some sort of printed dampening things might work. Maybe I'll design something if there's nothing out there that works for this printer.

  51. I think stringing will never really go away with PETG or TPU, you can only minimize it. I've found a good heat gun can make quick work of it for the most part, you just gotta be quick.

  52. Yeah, I have a torch (wife got it to make crème brulle that we never had). That and some sand paper wrapped on a pencil does good work on PETG. But, I'd still like to get it t be a bit better. Got a filament dryer to try to help as well.
