1. Just took the Power PE earlier today. I studied with both Zach's and Justin's practice exams. In my opinion, EPG ones have a much wider variety of code questions, not just exam 4. Zach's material tends to focus more on motor, transformers, conductor sizing, and device protection stuff... all of that happen to be more common. I think you need to study with both sets to have a good feel for what can be expected. Also, spend some time on NESC. None of the exams show enough variety of NESC questions... like, I got easily 5-6 questions from it alone.

  2. As a person with 4 dead exes, this got a SOLID laugh from me. Dark jokes are the best.

  3. Best of luck! No matter how hard you studied, be prepared to be surprised by a few questions but don’t let that ruin your confidence for the rest of them.

  4. Appreciate that. This'll be my fourth attempt, so not much more surprises left. I'm feeling cautiously optimistic and confident that this will be it. Hope you get some good news tomorrow.

  5. Nope. Fourth attempt, spanning across about two years.

  6. Most questions usually ask how many digits the answer needs to be in. Generally speaking, if you keep 4-5 digits throughout your calcs and the same for the final answer, you should be fine.

  7. I'm sitting for my electrical power PE in about three weeks from now. Nerves are setting in because this will be my fourth attempt. Also, I am feeling quite fatigued at times. I've spent so much time studying and re-studying... I feel like I'm making more silly mistakes these days, but yeah. Just need to calm down and trust that I've put in the effort.

  8. You know, may be this internet being accessible to everyone wasn't such a great idea.

  9. Coming up on my 4th attempt for PE Electrical Power. I'll probably land around $5.5k total, including the FE stuff. I know people are saying it's steep, but it is what it is. Some people need more time and resources, and some don't.

  10. I would advise against their ultrasonic cleaner, I'm actually in process of returning it right now. I bought mine directly from Invisalign when it came back in stock. It shipped out quickly but it only lasted a week before it died. It worked great for that week, but one day it just wouldn't turn on.

  11. Just get a cheap, $30 one off Amazon. It works just as well.

  12. Pretty much guarantee any $30 uvc cleaner will be using “fake” uv that wont do much. If you really need uv, go outside or use a “germicidal” uvc lamp which is real uvc….but they’re like $100 for a real real one. I don’t trust 99% of amazon products now so…🥲

  13. To each, their own. I just don't think a cleaner for your retainers has any business being that expensive. Regardless of what additional feature or gimmick it tries to sell you.

  14. Why is everyone hating he's just complimenting his wife

  15. Cause, they're jealous that he's getting some and that they are not.

  16. Based on some of the digging I've done thus far (mainly applies to California), the board predominantly looks at design/engineering experience compared to administrative experience. Like, they wanna see that you've developed calcs, plans, etc. etc., and not so much writing technical reports or attending field visits and whatnot. A rule of thumb I've come across is the 80-20 split. 80% being pure design work and 20% being all other engineering related activities that aren't strictly design. So, the only way you can effectively communicate that is by stating the percentages. It's not something they can or will strictly validate, but at least, I'd think this would pass the sniff test.

  17. Beyond what everyone has already suggested, look into applying for your PE in California. California board requires the least amount of years in experience, and I believe if you have an undergraduate from an accredited university, you only have to show two years of experience.

  18. That only applies to Structural and Civil disciplines. Electrical and Mechanical only need to pass the 8 hour exam.

  19. I've aged decades watching this game

  20. And to think I turned the game off after Scums scored the second goal...

  21. Ike got the whole Canada with him. You know how Canadians go for each other.

  22. I'm on my fourth attempt... currently averaging 1-2 hours on weekdays and 15-20 hours over the weekend. By the time I sit for it again, I'll have done nearly 1000 unique problems... I never did very many practice problems before any of my previous attempts. I'm confident that I'll pass it this time without any issues.

  23. Yes. This is very common for the code problems. I distinctly remember that during one of my previous attempts, there was a code question related to either an OCPD or a conduit sizing. Because I didn't solidly understand the concept, I was going back and forth between tables, and I found all four of the answer choices.

  24. Oh, no. An insanely ripped former wrestler shows up in front of a crowd, covering only his junk. Oh, the shame. Oh, the humiliation.

  25. These are two completely different exams, and therefore, FE materials will not be relevant. You need to look at the actual exam specifications for the Power PE Exam.

  26. He should laugh his ass off, we should normalize mocking these disgusting morons publicly. Everyone should just laugh at her face whenever she speaks, talk to her like an infant. Never take a word she says seriously because lets face it, her opinion on anything is meaningless.

  27. I’m in Washington and I emailed the board as soon as I was notified and I had my license within 20 minutes of emailing them
