Instead of asking questions, you need to speak up more about what your actual points are. Meaning, say what you are thinking, expecting, etc. I feel like this is an introvert thing, and it can get annoying, not because answering questions are a problem, but because they can put other people in a situation of needing to open up completely and be vulnerable to their judgment and criticism, and gain lots of information from them, but are unlikely to do the same.

This happened to me a while ago, after the 7th day I contacted mercari and they just autorated me and the buyer. Who knows if he ever picked it up, but after that it was none of my concern.

I’ll wait and see what happens. That’s so weird that they requested that. I can understand if he would be out of town, but it just make me a little nervous since the buyer is new to Mercari and I’ve never seen this before.

I wouldn't worry about it. There are a bunch of reasons why someone would have their mail held. In the end, as long as you packed, shipped. And sent it to the right place, mercari should protect you as a seller.

I had a lady who was trying to buy a pair of brand new Kate spade sunglasses from me. She offered $30 and I had them listed for $79. They were brand new with the case. I countered $70 and she countered $32. And it went on like this. Eventually I just told her that I could not go lower than $60. And she goes “well I can’t go any higher than $50.” I told her to have a good night and the next morning she sent an offer for $60.

I wouldn’t have accepted $60. That sounds like a headache waiting to happen (“buyers remorse”). If they didn’t listen to you from the beginning, they will change their minds on you and will turn into a shit show.

I can definitely see that. I’m always open to making a deal, but sometimes people want the world for nothing. Lol

If you have a legend that could pop a smoke, throw a jump pad, grapple, or use an ability to get away, then I’d recommend that. Having mobility can be helpful in a situation like this. Also, if you have a grenade you can throw that away from you and see if it attracts their attention enough to let you run away

I use a shield battery first, because if you get hit by an enemy and they see that you have purple armor then they will definitely play differently if they hit you and see health. It’s essentially appearing to have more health than you actually have if you are attacked very quickly after being revived.

Even if I came back and was unable to be revived... it would be much better than this. They need to add an option to join back into a game you lagged out of if it’s still going on.

So I definitely enjoy having a gold shield when I play as legends that have good mobility or abilities to help get to cover quickly. Having a gold shield with Octane, Pathfinder and Horizon is nice because I can quickly get to cover using their abilities. I also enjoy having a gold shield as wraith, Bangalore and Gibraltar because I can use their abilities to conceal myself or protect myself long enough to get to where I can heal up.

You gotta make sure to armor swap real quick in case there’s more. Great play!

Good call! My first thought was to just run out and revive the teammates (I used a decoy and shield battery on the way up) but in retrospect I should’ve armor-swapped first. Thank you!

It’s always good to armor and swap and check if anyone’s around before looting. I won’t armor swap if they have just white shields and I have a broken purple.

To be honest there’s not much you can do now. I’d try to be as nice as possible to them and just wait until you receive your item. I only say to be nice because you don’t want to get a terrible rating from them. You could definitely communicate how you feel about your purchase from them and what happened in your review. If you don’t receive your items as promised, then you can definitely reach out to Mercari. Until then you just gotta wait.

Agreed, i sold an iPhone and shipped FedEx and they lost the package and they were so reluctant to accept my claim (it was worth more than mercari’s $200 insurance so mercari told me to file a claim with them). They found it a whole month later at the place I dropped it off, never even moved out of there

I think it definitely depends on what time of the day that I get the notification. I have bought items that I know can’t be dropped off at the overnight bin (because of size) but somehow the seller “shipped” them at 1 or 2 am. That’s pretty sus. Lol

So basically this funko pop collectible is one that you can buy from Hot Topic or buy it from the San Diego Comic Con. Depending on where you buy it from, the box will have a unique sticker on the clear window. This seller chose to buy this funko pop from Hot Topic and chose to remove the sticker you’d get from Hot Topic and replace it with the sticker you’d get from San Diego Comic Con to sell it for a higher value. The reason why I know this to be true is because they did that sticker swap on the clear window and forgot to remove the barcode that Hot Topic puts on the bottom of the box. I was posting this angle so people could see the hot topic barcode on the bottom and also still be able to see the San Diego Comic Con sticker on the clear window.

Thank you for clarifying! I thought you meant that they swapped the barcode sticker prices on the bottom box. But I don't think they'll get anywhere with selling it since you can still see the $15 tag below the barcode. And Funko Pop collectors should do their due diligence before being scammed on buying a tampered item.

I agree with you 100%. Funko Pop collectors need to do their due diligence before buying a funko pop. I think you’d be surprised at how easy it is to deceive newer collectors. It’s very unfortunate that people care more about money than being honest.
