Y'all are not alone in this feeling. I finished the same course at the beginning of February and felt wildly unprepared for the capstone project. The way they talked through the course sounded like it would have gone much better. With that being said, I appreciate that I knew I needed to learn more. I felt the course was a great guide book on where to start and what areas to focus on.
Your data are spread across a bunch of tables. You want to reassemble the data so you have them together for getting shit done. That's why we have joins.
Get a wire nut and a 6 inch piece of Romex. Wire both hot together with a short piece and wire both neutral with a short piece in their own nut. Then take each short piece and connect them to the appropriate spots on your new switch.
I'd assume you mean the old outlet has four wires attached to it? Those are very often daisy-chained, where two wires on one side will bring power to the outlet, and two wires will come off the other side and run power to the next outlet in the chain. If that's the case, you join the two hot wires together with a jumper to the new outlet, and then do the same to the neutral. Which is a better way to do it anyway.
I completed 7/8 courses last week and this capstone project has me at a wall and beyond discouraged. I thought it was just me but wow, does it make me feel less discouraged seeing other people having the same issues. I just found out about Khan last week so I planned on utilizing that for more focused sql learning. Barley anything from before R is there.

What did you use to get started with your own projects? I struggle with which platforms and programs I need to do basic SQL queries.
