1. Yes but the point is that since it works here why not there? Why do people insist on quicker service here etc

  2. Ok, so you do understand that it makes no sense at all but it's just the way it is and the way it will stay no matter what because it's working for the wealthy pharma companies

  3. Just to clarify, with these downvotes coming in to both us, I wasn't trying to be a dick to you. This system is just so broken there's nothing left when the topic comes up except frustration. Part of the point I'm sure

  4. Well, not sit on them, but they can get squeezed badly when sitting between thighs/pants/underwear. They can't actually be under the thighs/butt no matter how hot and long they get. At least not for me who has a big butt and thighs. Also, they do retract, but that happens only with cold temps, stimulation/tickling or orgasm, afaik.

  5. Has happened to me a few times when moving really fast/falling in a car or theme park. One of those free fall rides that raise you up a tower and drop you was the worst and I was only like 20 before they started to dangle. As you fall you lift out of your seat, only my balls didn't lift as fast and when it got to the bottom and started breaking they were somehow way under there and I slowly decelerated into crushing my balls harder than I ever have.

  6. I am curious what the additional cost associated with removing a fatberg is, and how that compares to, say, how much all a town's residents are paying plumbers to clean their pipes, because it might actually be more cost effective overall to kick the can down the road.

  7. You'll eventually creat a fatberg economy though with more and more private companies moving into the marketplace. This should bring the cost down unless the need goes up which will also happen. Ultimately though you just created a new industry which should never have to exist which means this is actually probably a billion dollar industry to get in on the ground floor, because if there's anything we like to do its kick the can down the road

  8. Completely disagree about Dems being asleep at the wheel. The SOTU was killer. As we get closer to the general election we’ll see issues to increase voter turnout, rise. Abortion rights were never going to be delayed. It’s both a really important health issue and a way to concretely demonstrate to voters that Dems aren’t playing politics, they actually care about the greater good. Voters like to see shit get done, especially when it’s not a general election year.

  10. Hey Ya - Outkast. I enjoy it, just not as much as their other songs. One time, my mom turned on the radio in the car when the song was huge, around 2004ish, and it was on 3 stations at the same time.

  11. I was in junior college with an awful schedule full of hour breaks so I'd head to the dining/hangout area which had TVs all over the walls on the same music video station and 2-3 times every break I was there it would come on. Definitely 2004

  12. But all the ads in porn are for other porn sites (or dating sites). People who don’t spend money are porn are going to … continue to not spend money. So you need money coming in somewhere. So probably true about the wales.

  13. theres a lot of dick pill ads, condom ads, lube ads, dildos and fake pussies.

  14. Idk if related, but I was job hunting for my industry of interest. Primarily interested in entry-level jobs. No dice, however I was shocked by the seemingly enormous vacancy in senior, leadership, director, blah blah blah positions by how they were the only jobs available (that I could find).

  15. sinking ship seeking salvation. they don't want to train or pay anyone enough to retain them but hope to somehow find enough already trained but undervalued people. doesn't usually happen and they get bought by another company

  16. This is also how companies that cannot sink operate, and where I think part of the " no one was to work anymore" rhetoric comes from. I was offered a job from Collins Aerospace (UTC/RAYTHEON) repairing computers for military aircraft, a job that requires 6 years of experience and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical circuits. $22 an hour. I literally laughed when the hiring manager told me that over the phone. I took the job after negotiating a higher rate but when I got there I was one of the highest paid technicians, with the exception of VERY senior techs (15+ years). The company operates on a high attrition policy, hiring people that don't know what they are doing for pennies, and hiring experience for far less than market value. Burn them out with an extreme workload (re: understaffing) then just hire more when they inevitably quit. Then they complain no one wants to work when they have alienated and used up all the talent in the area.

  17. Ya this is also my local county governemnt. They hire trainees fro pennies that cant do anything but they have to have someone in the positoon. Then people hwy nothing in gov ever gets done. it's because most of the office gov workers have no idea what they are doing

  18. It would be better if everyone realized that none of the major TV news stations are "news," it's just people discussing current affairs. I really do think that boomers are more prone to just trusting the newsperson of their choice because when they were growing up, there were legit journalists doing the job and it wasn't about ratings and hype; they actually did give you the news.

  19. Sadly as they grew up they stopped funding real journalism or tuning into to real news so the industry entered a complete freefall once the internet showed up and any remaining revenue they had got sapped by people freesharing their articles on other sites

  20. It's the same thing. It's a made up word (yes I know they're all made up) that just means lead in a more narrow context, but it's a style choice at the end of the day

  21. The best example is using taxpayer dollars to enrich defense contractors and arming/funding foreign wars.

  22. If we took 10% from defense contractors and moved it to dealing with the homeless problem it could be fixed in a couple of years and we would STILL have plenty of missiles for our own needs and to keep giving away to anyone who wants to do their own genocide

  23. That would mean you're only willing to vote for Trump. Biden is already an octogenarian, and Trump will be by the time he leaves office if he wins and lives that long. It's such a fucking joke they were the two oldest candidates last time we did this BS

  24. Sounds like some women you wouldn't want to be with anyways

  25. First mission for me. I just stood there stuck trying everything until the robots shot me to death and refunded the game

  26. Yes. It takes adjusting and I start and stop doing it because it is unpleasant, but the results do make sense and speak for themselves. My usual thought is go ahead and rinse or drink/eat something after 15 or so minutes, same as you would a fluoride treatment. But unless you've got nothing else to do but wait those 15 minutes it does kind of suck

  27. They're both too fucking old, thats whats so fucked up.

  28. I had a realization after a certain age that the reason you need less sleep as you age is because your body isn't trying as hard to repair itself.

  29. I always figured it was an evolutionary response to you are the adult now you don't sleep that deep or your kids will get plucked off by a predator in the night

  30. I could be wrong, and this is just my opinion, but I don't think we need deflation for things to get better. We need to keep inflation under control, and cut back on the corporate greed. Pay the workers more so their money goes further, and cut out the bullshit infinite growth all these companies are striving for. I want companies to make a profit because it does help the economy, but it ruins the economy when the working class can't afford things. The wealth divide is the biggest problem.

  31. Last time they tried forcing that.. the recession turned into a great depression.

  32. What's better: infinite recession or a depression and a recovery?

  33. She has kidney failure and some other stuff. it's not curable, save for transplants, but it is treatable. They treat her and discharge her ASAP instead of getting her healthy enough she can keep on top of treating herself. So she ends up right back in the ER

  34. Ahh, that must be why they make sure to rotate her through a series of hospitals some up to 250 miles away making visiting impossible, but who cares, we aren't admiting her here, she will lose us money. Thanks for that context

  35. Unfortunately it's the same at every games company right now. There are no jobs to move into unless you're very senior. Or willing/capable of working for table scraps.

  36. When I got laid off at the start of Covid I received almost $100k in severance, took a year off to sleep as long as I wanted and focus on hobbies.

  37. For sure, there's a lot more than gaming out there. I was just making a joke at people always immediately suggesting to learn to code when someone loses their job instead of being sympathetic to something that can happen to anyone, even those in coding heavy jobs

  38. I had such a crush on Denise Richards back in the 90s. Heather Graham too.

  39. Not sure if it's ever been brought up anywhere, but my dad had a theory that on the vid she sends him in the first scene when she peppy and excited and lovey towards then you hear a knock... It was the other guy and they hooked up cause then after she was relaxed and calm and then was when she made the decision to break it off official

  40. They are not. They are insanely low for what it should be

  41. If you manage your disability well, despite the difficulties it presents, you’re then not considered “disabled enough” to qualify for any of the social care support you most likely need to continue to manage your disability and live well.

  42. Yep. Or you are forced into a job that keeps you on your feet 8 hours a day so now you can no longer manage your disability, but it will take you 5 years and 3 appeals for a semi-chance at getting social services again.

  43. Or doesn't do something they think he should. Or tries to do a thing they think he should, but they block it. Or they do a thing and say it was him. Or a natural disaster strikes. Or the clock strikes 12.

  44. Mom made me keep the smallest sewing kit with one button. Guess whose used it even without knowing how to properly sew and replaced it twice now?

  45. I walked into a strip club in a small town a long time ago. No one was there and there was no music playing. When I made enough noise that they heard someone was there, a pregnant 50+ yo woman walked out, popped in a nickelback cd and started to dance. The cd started skipping and I left.

  46. Damn reminds me of taking my cousin once. And only once. I had been before and it was OK but it was apparently a special night or something. When I took him it was just me and him and when we got there it was just some 50 y/o already dancing on stage for like 3 songs and then she came out trying to get lap dances. Once we refused another girl finally came out, but man that was silly
