1. Something very similar happened to me over the past month. I had a phone interview with the recruiter, the hiring manager, the team, two VPs, and one last interview with another VP. They were very communicative at the beginning of the process and towards the end, the continued to tell me that they needed “another week,” and then “another few days” and to “hold tight.” Well I got a call from the VP who declined me for the job I applied for because they found a better candidate (I figured they were stalling to get a response from them first). They eventually offered me a lower position, which I ultimately declined due to another offer from a separate company. I hope everything turns out in your favor. Going through the interview process is hell, and just know that you’re not alone!

  2. Yeah, I'm worried this is the same thing this company is doing. They were very upfront and communicative for weeks, and I had a great interview with one of the VPs. We added each other on LinkedIn and have chatted periodically since the interview (which was a month ago at this point).

  3. Even Goldman Sachs has only 3 rds of interviews for Senior Tech roles. What kind of company is this?

  4. It's a media company with departments that are public facing and others that are client facing. The job I'm interviewing for would work with both sides and would communicate with lots of different departments. So it seems like this is some stupid corporate red tape, where no department head wants to feel left out of the process. So everyone has to get a chance to interview me, even though they're all asking me the same handful of questions and telling me the same info.

  5. It’s annoying how much national media don’t understand the Thunder. It basically amounts to “the discourse says they need a center. Here’s a center, so OKC drafts him.” They’ve shown zero interest in drafting non-shooting bigs. They could have drafted Duren, Williams, or Kessler. They didn’t. They traded away Sengun.

  6. No, the Thunder have a team option for $2.1 million for him next season. A lot of fans assume they’ll turn down that option to sign him to a long-term deal, though. Same thing they did with Dort.

  7. All the picks, youth, and money. That’s fixings for a guaranteed championship in the next three years.

  8. Naw, there’s no such thing as a guaranteed championship for a team this young. People said the same thing about the last iteration of the Thunder. They’re very well set up, but I won’t assume a title is in the cards.

  9. Fort Condor hard with "reduced difficulty" is easier than normal mode. Just FYI

  10. If you change game difficulty to easy the ATB im hard charges alot faster. It makes hard mode so much easier.

  11. I don't really know what you're talking about, but now you have me curious. What was his theory?

  12. Ah, I’d seen the Jenova theory floated elsewhere, but I didn’t know a big streamer had talked about it. I don’t buy that theory myself, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with throwing some stuff out there. The game is meant to be talked about and theorized over, that’s part of the fun. People get a little too passionate about which theories they think are “right” and which are “wrong.” Insulting and berating people is going way too far. This is supposed to be fun.

  13. What about the time he goes to Zack for a synergy attack? I think the guy is fractured as all hell and is in a sorry state but there's an element of truth to the rift he's seeing in the sky and that he now knows about the multiple realities on account of sepiroth. I've played the original game a lot of times and I just doubt that they're going down the exact same road after what we saw with him deflecting the massamune and aerith saying "I saw what you did back there cloud, thank you"

  14. He does a Synergy attack with Zack because of fan service, and as a symbolic link because they’re both doing the same fight at the same time. He definitely knows about the other worlds, but being able to traverse them at will is very different.

  15. I understand how it could be viewed that way but considering it could've just flashed between the two for the same effect but they chose to have him appear similarly to the effect you see in the alternate rainbow reality where aerith was alive, and in which we saw him in too when he told her to wake up.

  16. I don’t think the whole defy fate thing will only be boiled down to wish fulfillment. But I also don’t think Cloud has control over this ability to traverse worlds. It would basically run counter to Cloud’s character that he would have that much awareness and control. It’s more in keeping with Cloud’s journey that he would unknowingly be seeing across worlds without realizing it, making it seem like his grasp of reality is even worse.

  17. My main prediction is that Cloud's time in the Lifestream will be significantly expanded. I go back and forth on whether I think Tifa will fall in with him this time (I lean no, and that's why the writers had her experience a Lifestream version of Nibelheim in Rebirth and why Cloud told her he remembers Zack, because she won't be there for the revelation in Part 3). Cloud will see both Zack and Aerith, and this will be a huge moment of revelation where Cloud the character and we the player will get answers about what the hell is going on.

  18. Naw, OKC wouldn’t be interested. Their offense is predicated on unpredictability. They use lots of guard-guard and guard-wing screens, and the occasional inverted screen with Chet. Someone like Edey would limit the diversity of plays they can run. They’d either have to use him as the screener or put him in the dunker spot, there’s nowhere else he’d be useful. That’s not really how the Thunder run things.

  19. I agree with everything except OKC. I think his presence would negatively affect the way SGA plays, which is why they haven’t tried to add a traditional bit.

  20. This. The Thunder are committed to playing 5 out. Maybe they add a veteran big (like they did with Biyombo) to give them a body to throw out in certain matchups. But they’re not gonna spend a draft pick on a guy whose only role in the offense would be “break in case of emergency” big man.

  21. This bugs the hell out of me. Framing every season as having 29 failures at the end is just not an interesting way to look at basketball. I feel the same way about the Kings. People clowned them for getting bounced in the first round last year, but they had a fun as hell season where they established they’re not the KANGZ anymore.

  22. I can't remember. I think you get it in the campaign or something.

  23. Yeah, I just got it. You get it when you complete Bastorias. However, now that I have it, it seems like it requires a lot of good items to be equipped on Yunifi. It essentially requires that you get her to 4 PP and 3 AP (since the Talisman reduces your AP by 1). What equipment setup are you using? And what other units needed Quick Impetus?

  24. Apeliotes Bow, Celestial Talisman and Sapphire Pendent. That's 2 AP and 4 PP. I could have given her a ruby pendent for the last slot but I needed it on my other characters. Just gave her the 30% crit rate accessory. She gets glacial rain off and her job is done.

  25. Ooh, I’ve been trying to figure out how to get to that point with Rosalinde. How do you pull that off?

  26. Came here to say the same thing. We have even more than the Celtics do.

  27. Yeah, Tre Mann, Bertans, and Lindy have all been 40+% too. But those three and Hayward are too low volume to really include. Still wild how well the whole team has shot (with one notable exception).

  28. Yep, that's how any creative team maintains positive progress. You keep building on the knowledge and experience that the individual team members amass over time. I think a lot of people, when talking about studios, kinda view them as a monolith and forget that they're really just a bunch of people with individual strengths and experience, like any company.

  29. Seriously, that was one of the best plays of the night.

  30. He is unironically my hero and an inspiration for how to live a happy fulfilling life that attracts good people to you... Although it probably attracts kindness leeches as well.

  31. He’s inspirational to me too for a different reason. I think it can be easy in life to let things that happen to you make you jaded, or angry, or jealous. But here’s a dude abandoned by his birth parents, raised in a soapland, wrongfully imprisoned for 18 years, homeless, experienced lots of loss, and yet he still maintains his positivity, passion, and support of his friends.

  32. Tim Downie was the one who did the best job of selling that he was really Orin. He takes on some of her unhinged line delivery. It’s unsettling and a fantastic performance.

  33. I hate how old they made him tbh. It doesn't fit his character AT ALL imo. He doesn't look, sound, or act in his late 40's whatsoever.

  34. Regarding your edit, I think that’s kinda the point. Normally, 18 years in jail would harden a person and change them into something else. It didn’t with Ichiban. The same way most people would not have

  35. I am like 90% sure the Kasuga VA does a random QB NPC character in Gongaga as well! He doesn't even try to hide the Ichi-ness, just a bit toned down

  36. He’s a bunch of random NPCs, some hiding it better than others. Playing Rebirth right after IW was funny because I kept going “Hey, I know you!”

  37. Clippers identity is going to be a team without PG next yr.

  38. Imagine if the Thunder get this huge haul for trading Paul George, then get him back.

  39. As some who try new teams every comp: I will start with one of the classics:

  40. This is funny, I came here to ask a question and saw this as the top comment and you're recommending a team similar to what I'm running. I currently have a unit that is Knight + Hoplite + Radiant Knight (with a Runic Blade), and I was going to add Gilbert to that team. I think it's implied by your recommendation, but I just wanted to confirm: Does Gilbert's +Attack buff stack with the Knight's +Attack buff to cavalry? I know the cavalry buffs stack with each other, but I wasn't sure if Gilbert's also stacks with them.

  41. My cat does this, but only when he’s been sedated for a vet visit. It’s so funny looking when he does it and he doesn’t look comfortable.

  42. Yeah, Cloud saying "Are you done?" to Aerith's uplifting speech took away almost all the pity I had for Cloud.

  43. This is an interesting way of viewing things. The Whispers have always essentially been a giant meta device, the writers communicating directly with players. And I’m honestly OK with that in a general sense, it’s kinda interesting as a concept.

  44. Kitase has directly said all of humanity was wiped out in the original epilogue.

  45. As a Thunder fan, I'd be willing to bet OKC would happily beat that Philly offer for Mikal Bridges.

  46. OKC don't need him and it would be really costly to outbid Philly here. Two of those three firsts are super valuable. OKC's mostly stuck to their organic process of building through the draft, and I doubt they change that for anything short of a superstar.

  47. Bridges is a fantastic fit in OKC's system on both ends of the floor, and his contract is a perfect fit on OKC's books. Replace Giddey in the starting lineup with Bridges, and that team is a legitimate championship contender (I don't think they are now). The Thunder have more draft picks than they can do anything with, so it's really no issue trading away three picks and two swaps. They'd still have plenty of other picks to work with. If Bridges was actually on the table, I think he'd be very, very high on the Thunder's target list.

  48. The funny part is that Yuffie’s father is actually named Daigo. So we have double Daigos in this series.

  49. Wait, what? I thought Yuffie’s dad’s name was Godo.
