1. I agree. We spent a lot of time with the first rep going over everything, but the rules for transfers just went right by us. We thought we knew what was available, but we simply did not understand.

  2. I hope your stress has dwindled or begins to soon. One of the hardest aspects of life is putting your head down and getting through a stressful chapter. Have you been on your booked cruise yet?

  3. As someone who did it when they probably should not have, it was like walking on the edge of death for months on end. It is such a potent form of therapy, you should not do it if you’re already crumbling. Create a stable environment and get as grounded and stable as you can before beginning, it can be the difference between healing and retraumatizing.

  4. I really wish I had not done EMDR when I did, and I wish I had a therapist like OP. They should not have mistaken my shock and denial (less than a month after being traumatized) as stability. It basically shocked me out of that place and I was miserable for the next year or so

  5. The coincidence is definitely cool!! Just sick of seeing people name their babies after celebrities lmao

  6. Could June Carter be a coincidence? I didn't make the connection at first😅

  7. Apologies, I should’ve linked the article! The babies’ names are Johnny Cash Davis and June Carter Clark. June’s father’s first name is Carter, and they loved the name June, but they didn’t really make the connection.

  8. I will never understand why someone would WANT to join a sub for a show they haven’t finished. There will always be spoilers, even unintentionally. I’m watching a show on Netflix right now and absolutely refuse to look ANYTHING up because I don’t want it ruined! I think you can see some posts on your home page even if you haven’t joined the sub though. Maybe that’s it!

  9. I understand joining a sub if they have episode-specific discussion posts. I’m watching LOST for the first time (i know im very late lol), and im glad they have a pinned post that’s like “DO NOT LOOK AT THE REST OF THIS SUBREDDIT UNTIL YOU HAVE FINISHED THE SHOW” and then season and episode-specific discussion posts for first-time watchers and repeat watchers but they’re supposed to be spoiler-free for any future episodes. So if this sub had that, and someone asked “why would izzie see Denny all the time and not seek medical attention,” the replies could only be “just keep watching.” I’m really enjoying the discussion without worrying about spoilers

  10. Dr. Jeff Garrard might be an option at Rocket City Family Medicine. While that might be surprising (IDK) since he is male, I’m a female in my 40s. He is always contentious in asking me if I’m up to date on mammograms, etc. Was absolutely attentive when I complained that medication he prescribed was causing some sexual dysfunction and changed it right away. My family has a history of aneurysms that has concerned me as I got older. He looked my history and who in my family had them and explained that my odds would be low. However, if I NEEDED the test for MY peace of mind, he would order the test to look for it further. Offered to find me referrals for testing for ADHD with no questions asked. Also, I had to get a follow up mammogram which made nervous, I told him I was anxious and he took the time to explain that this was very common due to tissue density. He has a great bed side manner and is very easy to talk with. I can’t recommend him enough. I know he’s married and has a daughter so I think he cares about women because he has important women in his life too.

  11. I love Dr. Garrard! I don’t have much to add to your comment because you pretty much covered it - very good bedside manner and he seems to care about my experience as much as my health

  12. Chanel Rouge Allure Ink!! I’ve had mine FOREVER and it’s finally running out. I’m not even hesitant to bite the bullet when the price seems outrageous bc i know how good this stuff is. It’s so velvety and feels soft and the gorgeous color lasts for SO long

  13. Makes sense, there are studies showing that people who consume carrot in excess can actually turn slightly orange!

  14. My husband’s grandmother has a go-to story about how her mom stopped letting her have carrots because they were her favorite snack when she was like 4 years old. She ended up eating so many over a couple week that she was bright orange and it mortified her mom lol

  15. yeah this year's was actually the best I've seen in ages, because artists such has Allison Russell, Rhiannon Giddens, and Victoria Monet were deserving winners. Miley got her first Grammy. I don't agree with Midnights but I wasn't furious about it—Taylor was obviously inescapable. But I mean there's some very good artists still boycotting (like The Weeknd) and I support their reasoning behind that wholeheartedly. I know Jay-Z was rambling somewhat strangely but he's not wrong in saying that "sometimes" you guy get it right. I know music is subjective but some of their choices have been SO suspect.

  16. I really enjoyed this years too, but I found Jay-Z’s rant tacky. I completely agree with the message - it’s insane that bey is the artist with the most Grammys of all time but hasn’t taken home the biggest prize - but to accept an icon award and use that time to basically be a choosing beggar (“thanks for the award, but we want THIS one!”) was just the wrong place, wrong time, wrong execution

  17. Can’t believe nobody’s saying Ordinaryish People. The beat drop at the beginning would shatter the world with the horns i love it sm

  18. Maybe they should have offered Taylor $24 million like they did Beyonce and see if she’d have taken it. Y’all are parading Taylor as someone turning down money when she’s printing variants of CDs with little to no added value to milk as much money from her children-heavy fanbase just because she can. Let it rest.

  19. Drink some water. It’s okay that taylor swift did something positive. It doesn’t have to bother you this much if you don’t let it

  20. I booked flights through my credit card company (chase) so i could use points to get a slight discount. Also booked kinda last minute (trip is early July, so 12-week lead time), and this way saved me $180 roundtrip

  21. There is a community of autistics who strongly believe that Taylor is one of us, and it makes so much sense. I’ve been thinking of starting a sub for us.

  22. I don’t mean to offend, but I strongly disagree with that. I don’t think it’s appropriate to diagnose someone you don’t know, without their consent or participation, especially in such a public way as starting a subreddit. Taylor has been vocal about her discomfort in feeling like a character in a story instead of as a real person, and things like that definitely don’t help.

  23. Thanks so much for making this spreadsheet! I found our ideal resort within budget, and then a couple of friends wanted to join so we did more digging to see if maybe we could find a better price for the same quality. We couldn’t! Thank you for putting in the work on this!

  24. Wait this person thinks the guys on SNL are hot?  Have they actually seen SNL?

  25. Bill Hader is a very specific kind of hot

  26. People finding someone attractive isn’t the same thing as them being objectively hot though.  I love Bill Hader, but hot isn’t the word to describe him.

  27. This is Hilary Swank on the office all over again

  28. Definitely not. It was not only experimental but incredibly effective at providing instant gratification by showing you the effect and impact of decisions and events over long spans of time, but instantly.

  29. GOD I forgot about that. Just teared up remembering that scene. Somebody give Kevin a damn hug

  30. Isn't that typically understood to be about bringing a feeling of resolution? I don't understand how seeing situations that are soul-crushing is even in the same ballpark.

  31. A lot of the soul-crushing situations in this is us are resolved to some degree, though. The man who was given up as a baby developed a meaningful relationship with his father, the addict got clean and made amends, the widow moved on and found joy in her family and new love, etc.

  32. Not sure if this is still helpful to you, but it says on their website “Access to the facilities and restaurants of Iberostar Selection Cancun, as well as” and then lists the other resorts. I’d assume because you can access the restaurants, it also means you can dine there :)

  33. I’m a Paul girl at heart, and he’s no doubt a generational talent, but for every ‘Yesterday’ or ‘Blackbird’ he has a ‘Maxwell’s Silver Hammer’. He has a history of writing some pretty terrible songs. He’s also written some of the best! Furthermore, the man went from having a co-writer in John Lennon (like, come on!) to then competing with Lennon & Harrison. Competition/collaboration, Black Rock N Roll artists in the US, The Cavern, Liverpool music scene, their experience in Germany, George Martin producing, and their trip to India ect. all influenced and pushed The Beatles to be more. McCartney, Lennon, nor Harrison can truly claim that their successes were purely individual either. They all had ridiculous individual talent, well in terms of composing/writing, but outside of Paul, they weren’t known for being one of the best in terms of instruments, nor vocals. They all got, a little help from their friends too. The Beatles were better off because they collaborated and experimented. It is baffling to me collaboration is looked down upon. No one, rightfully, looks down on The Beatles for doing either, and they shouldn’t! It produced their best work!

  34. i can’t believe you’re talkin shit on MSH, it’s a very well-written song with great storytelling

  35. Did you happen to find a drive? I went through her posts and found nothing. Both manual and search function.

  36. yeah and i think rhubarb won’t share it bc it’s a weird, petty collection of screenshots with insane takes commented over them

  37. Why do you so easily believe Alexa Nikolas, someone you most likely have never even met, and don't even know? Yet you disbelieve everyone else.

  38. I’m not saying i “believe” Alexa, im saying i disbelieve someone who comes across as petty. Every potential argument they make is flooded with name-calling and assumed diagnoses. It’s gross, and it really destroys their credibility to me. If you’d like to send the petition to me privately, I’d be happy to reconsider their position if it has actual arguments in it, but the drive is full of screenshots of Google and “Carolyn Bryant” (which is really fucking gross btw)

  39. The only part I agree with is that there are already Black country singers who probably would love to be #1 on the charts. It’s not that their music isn’t good, they’re just not mainstream and known like Beyonce. And they don’t have the power and capital to do marketing like her. Or the network.

  40. This is the main point im actually taking home with me. These massive artists - bey, tay, ari, etc. - are breaking records (with good projects, don’t get me wrong, im a fan of most of them lol) not because they’re actually groundbreaking or the Best Quality Ever, but bc they have the network and the power and the money to be the first to do something that very well could’ve gone to a smaller artist if the playing field were more level.

  41. I still can’t see how crowd-funding a zoo makes sense to anyone.

  42. Because the press release NALZS put out mentions many successful zoos using this funding model, I went ahead and googled it myself. It was pretty apparent that most zoos at least start with city, county, or state financial support, and a lot of them rely at least partially on local taxes.

  43. Breaking news: projects take time, sometimes even years, to develop. More at 10.

  44. I can name the local ones, Breland, Crunkleton, any of the other major land developers that have came and went. If you look on GovTrack he's introduced a bill to consolidate districts in North Alabama. It's the same shit different day since 1996.

  45. Crunkleton is destroying this city’s commercial real estate scene

  46. Also slightly off topic but I think there needs to be a county/city ordinance put in place to reign in these developers and "investors."

  47. I completely agree, my husband and I were screwed out of houses we loved by all-cash, way-over-asking-price offers that ended in the houses being bulldozed

  48. calm down, she said that when she was 18. it also didn’t imply she was never at fault, just that she was allowed to tell her side of the story and if dudes don’t want their dirty laundry aired, they shouldn’t mistreat their gfs

  49. YES please!! Prospero was more about greed and insecurity, whereas Henry’s actions and feelings were definitely driven by lust

  50. I'm going to watch Hamilton tonight so I've been listening to the whole soundtrack over and over in my head

  51. I’m not going to watch Hamilton tonight but I had the lines “see you on the other side of the war, see you on the other side of the war” stuck in my head for hours. Just those 2 lines.
