TIL Pink Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright was fired from the band by Roger Waters during album production for "The Wall" but stayed on as a salaried musician. Wright stayed on salary for the Album's elaborate tour and was thus the only member of the band to profit from it, which lost about £400,000.

Man I don’t miss residential. That looks miserable.
Roger is a dick, but Richard was doing too much coke. He had already lost one friend to drugs.
If you listen to Wright's '78 release, Wet Dream, and then compare that to Animals and the Wall, then it becomes apparent it's less about Wright's drug use and more about disinterest in not only what Waters was doing, but working with him. He was the most vocal about overbearing Waters had become, and while he had worked very closely with him in years past writing the music, it became obvious by Animals Waters wasn't interested in collaboration at that level anymore.
I read an interview with Richard and he said he had no material to offer when Animals was made.
He’s got a silver spoon on a chain, and grand piano to prop up his mortal remains
It’s on MeTV today at 7 CST.

Do you clean it out? I had a few issues and figured out that I need to keep the smoker probe clean and vacuum the ash. I do it religiously now and haven’t had issues since. Done some 16 hr briskets and not an issue. I also use separate probes in the smoker for piece of mind with the smoker temp.

Not quite but I have exactly the same two pairs as op and i reach for the.channel locks more often....
Yeah, I have both, but I’m not a fan of the knipex. Channel locks work better for me.
Is this a vulnerable species?
You’re not supposed to beach them. The weight can damage their internal organs.
They did this at an Air Force base I worked at in a basement that kept flooding. Turned a full 10’ ceiling basement into a 2’ crawlspace. They said it took a month and a half to cure. Tax dollars at work

It’s a grind. I feel like I got shot out of the air 100 times before I got my first dogfight kill. I think the only way to level up is flying the planes. It’s tough when your level 1, but as you unlock weapons, it gets better.

I don't really care for Frank Zappa. I respect him as a musician, but not so much as a songwriter. His lyrics, while unique, don't strike me as very meaningful or interesting. They come across as purile at times and superficial at others.
He didn’t like lyrics, they got in the way of the music.
instrumental tracks exist 🤷♂️
He wrote lyrics because he was told he needed them to sell records
CharmCityCrab has already written a good reply to this. There was a Union show where Banks was invited to join on stage for the encore, but was then blocked. Howe denies it was him, but others say it was. Whatever happened, I think there is a leap of logic to go from that to Howe being “pretty harsh on any attempt […] to reconcile with Banks”. I’m not aware of any other act by Howe that would fit that view. In latter years, Howe has been very complimentary of Banks’ work in the band and included Banks-era songs in Yes’s set list.
There was a Rabin interview I read recently where Trevor said Steve said no to Peter playing.

Why didn’t you even tell them what was happening
Guy was obviously too stoned to react. I mean, he can’t even tell the difference between Best Buy and Ikea.
Ah The Spectrum, good times in that place. I think I saw them there about 15 times.
15 yds these days. Defenseless and a bit late, but that was football back then.
