1. if youre not following the hwy act and you think you can make up rules, you should be fined up the ass until you learn. residents get safer streets and more revenue, win-win

  2. It's a bad driver tax. Wild how many people are defending this. Especially when there have been studies showing they work, even after they're removed.

  3. This is not a bad driver tax. These cameras, especially the red light cameras, work in conjunction with traffic lights to ensure people are caught speeding. They know exactly what they are doing. Someone would have to test these out. But if they didn't pay for themselves, they would seize to exist. They don't simply hope and rely on bad drivers to pay for themselves.

  4. I don't have sympathy for people who can't see a giant 30 and camera sign. Let them pay for our new stuff. Maybe it will jog their memory of how to drive properly.

  5. Have they canvassed schools in the area? That's a pretty unique backpack - shouldn't be hard to find if they ensure this pic is posted in teachers' lunchrooms and school administration is onboard.

  6. Thats actually a really good idea. If every teacher in the area did that, I'm almost postive he would be found, unless he uses a different bag for school.

  7. This. Port credit BIA hires extra officers to patrol on weekends during summer. Same with the construction companies that need an officer on the jobsite.

  8. If NASA was allocated even, like a fifth, of what the military gets, we'd have colonies on the moon and Mars by now lol

  9. Every year I get less and less hopeful that I'll see humans standing on another planet in my lifetime.

  10. Long day for me, maybe my sore body is affecting my mental capacity

  11. Have you ever had a dream that you, um, you had, your, you- you could, you’ll do, you- you wants, you, you could do so, you- you’ll do, you could- you, you want, you want him to do you so much you could do anything?

  12. I don’t recall my dreams, and btw, a slash between hit and punch is missing from my comment, and makes me wonder why you’re zeroing in on a simple mistake (especially when meaning is not affected) so hard.

  13. You're right, but years ago I was a printer and it is not an exaggeration to say that I'd catch a few mistakes like this a month simply because I would make a point of reading whatever I was printing. Part of the problem these days is people don't know to spell, and wouldn't catch a mistake even if they did bother to proofread.

  14. When people are using programs to create these isn't there an auto correct function while typing?

  15. Who said I didn’t read the article, perhaps OP read the article and really does not care if it’s teachers or “education workers” but it’s likely just a misnomer and group the two similar categories together

  16. Just think it was curious that you would take such a tone when a simple correction would have sufficed especially after provided an explanation and you double down saying not semantics.

  17. I'm sorry my comment hurt your feelings. Enjoy the rest of your day.

  18. I did this as a young teen when the “make a homemade glow stick” prank was big (13ish years ago), in a non ventilated bathroom. Blew up in my face, got a good whiff of if for a few seconds. Had trouble breathing for a few days but have otherwise been fine for over a decade.

  19. Consider muzzle training any animal aggressive or human aggressive dogs, for everyone's safety.

  20. I clicked on their profile but gave up before I could find anything along those lines. Just some advice from

  21. Morty, did you mess with squirrels? Why morty? Grab you bag, we have to find another timeline now. I told you we can only do that so much.

  22. You f***ed with squirrels, Morty! We've got a good five minutes before they're back and up on our ass, Morty! We have to pack up and move to a new reality, Morty!

  23. We don’t have the full context, but the guy filming is so aggressive I’m gonna assume he’s the asshole here

  24. If someone saying shut up to him gets him to the point that he's saying he's going to break someone's jaw, then yeah, he's probably the asshole.

  25. I hate all of these "pranksters" who just harass people at their jobs.

  26. That reaction of the person filming was nearly identical to my own.

  27. Defintely gives off those "Better Call Saul" vibes, the way he casually jokes about how to evade harsher punishment.

  28. The cops caught him. The courts asked him nicely to stick around for sentencing and for some reason he decided not to. Surprising!

  29. We need to care for people who openly call for the nuclear attack of Ukraine level of dumb apparently.

  30. I have low morals... so, I would be willing to hold up whatever sign for $100 an hour, starting rate. The more offensive, the more I charge.

  31. Headline is little more sensational than what actually transpired. Several cops trying to arrest one guy, people yelling at the cops, how is this different than any other arrest in any urban area in the world?

  32. Didn't one guy kick that cop in the head and the end some woman is spitting at them? That's pretty unusual.

  34. Oh nice. In Canada we have an Oligopoly of assholes behind our telecom, so they legit just tore down all the pay phone infrastructure and charge us like $100 a month for 50 gigs of data (not including the phone itself)

  35. I'm in ontario and I never realized how bad we have it until I visited Europe and needed a quick phone plan that ended up being like half my regular bill at home with double the data.

  36. That's actually really cool. Probably a lifesaver for people at beaches who don't want to risk damaging or losing their phone.

  37. Ironic how? Like black fly in my Chardonnay type ironic?

  38. Ironic like you hate CCP but love telling people how they should speak type of irony.

  39. Or ironic like you using the term “strawman”, and then attacking me and “my people” lol.
