1. Questions about the real-world logistics of fictional concepts are not a good fit for the sub.

  2. i believe, though op didn't mention it i don't think, they're really asking a question regarding the setting "After the End", a mod for crusader kings 2 and 3 set in the year 2666 in a pseudo medieval america.

  3. everyone knows it's an impregnable fortress, from which the Waltney family has ruled for generations...oh wait this is "ask scifi" not "after the end"

  4. Been playing the elf destiny mod and using tons of seduction schemes, so that there will be other elves out in the world.

  5. Their CEO is consistently overcompensating for some other aspect of his life. Now, if I could only figure out what that is? Hmm….

  6. I mean he's a billionaire, clearly whatever holes exist in his soul are too deep to be filled by mortal means.

  7. All my marines are orks in disguise. That's how I'm gonna play it from now on.

  8. The real question is how long till their psychic field makes the disguise real.

  9. they think in the very very long term. They know they aren't invading just the earth, they're taking the solar system as a whole and that means clearing us out of it, not just setting up space habitats and putting off the future conflict over resources.

  10. What competition for resources? There is sooooooooo much stuff in space that the time scale for resource competition is... I mean, billions of years. The future conflict over resources is not likely to happen until the heat death of the universe. Or at least functionally so.

  11. Not sure if it will work, but try playing a custom character with a culture that has the Diasporic trait, which boosts diplo range - Yiddish has it, and so does a Brazilian area culture, can't recall the name. If it does let you hit land, you can either convert back to local Galapagos culture after or hybridize to keep Diasporic.

  12. There's the Norse dynasty tree that gives extra diplo range, not sure who exactly would get access to that though.

  13. That's impressive. Cats are up there when it comes to reaction speed and agility. Must have really snuck up on the wee bastard.

  14. I dont think the issue with Legends of the Dead was that they needed a little more time to polish things. I dont see more time changing whatever the fate of Roads to Power will be.

  15. I assume it's related to where company resources are going. CK3 is getting few/inexperienced coders and other games are sucking up all the talent.

  16. That's my impression, largely inference from the pace of stellaris updates and all the work it looks like they did on vic 3 and are doing on eu5, juxtaposed with the low quality/quantity dlc for ck3.

  17. Looks like it's a candle holder/dimmer/joiner.

  18. Had some friends who lived in Pakistan years ago. Said you couldn't find weed but you could buy a soccer ball sized block of hash easy and absurdly cheap.

  19. Kana, she got done dirty.

  20. they already said he was a proud irishman.

  21. they do, contrast it with hamas's treatment of civilians and you'll see the difference; idf doesn't kill every civilian they can, hamas does.

  22. people get in and out of gaza all the time, saleh the fafo propagandist went to doha to get married during the last ceasefire, it's well known and established from their own public footage that many of their fighters trained outside of gaza for operation al aqsa flood.

  23. is it? you suggest israel could protect themselves without killing gazan civilians? how?

  24. they're defending israel now by shutting down hamas's capabilities. the occupation has resulted in the only periods of time without daily hamas rocket attacks against innocent israeli civilians. It eliminates fighters that proved the ability to slip into israel and kidnap citizens. Every dead fighter and destroyed missile marks a safer israel.

  25. Karketi in Georgia, no mine, but enough holding slots to build 4 castles. This means even confederate partition won't leave your heir weak after succesion.

  26. depends who gets the killskip off first.

  27. I thought this diary was fake and was misinformation, does it actually exist now?

  28. it can be a real diary, and what was published "from it" can still be fake and misinformation, i mean it's veritas, thats their track record; bullshit and crime.

  29. You can definitely get plagues from traveling through effected areas or leading troops in such. Just something to keep in mind, don't know if it may have been relevant in this case.

  30. reminds me of the scene from conan the barbarian where a pack of wolves surround him after he finds his sword, and then it cuts to him traveling with some nice new wolf pelt accessories.

  31. Definitely not..a 1v7 with Bonedogs like that tends not to end well for anyone short of an endgame character in full masterwork samurai or crab armor with a good anti-animal weapon

  32. oh for sure, if that movie used the kenshi system the next scene would have been the pack fighting over his bones, or i guess them just walking away since they don't eat downed humans that aren't dead.

  33. Elope is a scheme that allows you to marry your lover without the parents' concent. I've never really used it myself, I don't know if it allows you to marry someone your religion wouldn't normally allow, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

  34. Why aren't they cutting each other out instead of behaving like a normal family?

  35. I can't tell who in this story I'm supposed to tell to get therapy and it's making me feel weird.

  36. Unless I missed a more recent event, to my knowledge IDF has only undertaken one major raid that rescued 3 hostages. Compared with the extensive ground and air offensive, that seems like it’s a very low priority for them. The vast majority of released hostages were done via negotiations.

  37. negotiations agreed to only after gaza was occupied, negotiations backed by force. you think the negotiations would have freed hostage 1 if not for the military actions preceding negotiations?

  38. Galactus doesn't even really eat planets, he eats the potential for life of a planet. When he is done a planet cannot sustain a biosphere. What you propose would be a slow agonizing death for the planets, and likely would result in some degree of "spoilage" as i suspect the biosphere would degenerate further than the 20% drained from it, as his devouring would leave unfixable scars, species and regions and vitamins and elements just gone. Likely one such treatment would spell a planets doom, a slow and painful march towards total extinction, within a million years or less.
