1. Event Horizon. I really enjoyed the original but as most horror fans know, there was so much content cut out from the original release that seems to just be gone forever. So why not just go balls to the wall with a remake/sequel?

  2. I’d say a remake/prequel instead of a sequel.

  3. I’d say keep the 707 and the Sh4d since they have the least overlap and cover each other’s “missing features. The 101, 707 and mv 1 all have the exact same sound engine so there is no need for all three. As far as I can tell the only thing you won’t get from the 707 that you would from the mv 1 is the vocal section. Other than that you get a better interface, I/O and sampling to name a few things.

  4. If I really want the song mode, then the MC707 is the one to go? The MV1 is way more backpack friendly.

  5. I can’t speak to the song mode on any of those devices except for the SH4D which I had recently and know doesn’t have one. I had a 101 a few years ago and got rid of it because of the two line screen and how much menu diving was required. Whatever you decide I don’t think you need the 101, 707 and MV1 since the overlap between them is huge.

  6. Sign up for a SoundCloud account and listen to some of your songs on there, like them and add them to playlists. Then you will get some suggested playlists based on your tastes. They have the best “discovery algorithms” of any of the services imo since they don’t just suggest the popular tracks, and chances are you will truly find some obscure stuff to the number of aspiring artists on there.

  7. Hip hop has definitely fallen a bit lately in terms of numbers.

  8. If I’m not mistaken it’s true that there haven’t been a lot (if any) number one hip hop albums in the last few years, but as a whole the charts are still dominated by hip hop/rap artists. That’s before you even take in to consideration artists that aren’t hip hop but clearly pull from it, especially where production is concerned. Every pop hit that uses a booming 808 and certain drum patterns has hip hop thank for it.

  9. You could say both messages in the same reply to the buyer

  10. If it was a different item I’d likely just take it back, but turntables need to be packaged a certain way for shipping to avoid damage. The tonearms are fragile and the platters are heavy and need to be secured. I quite frankly just don’t trust someone who doesn’t know how to properly set it up for their application to package them securely for return.

  11. Flash Thompson should have stayed as Venom and Eddie Brock as Toxin. The Agent Venom era has some of the best venom stories and was an amazing reinvention of the character.

  12. Speaking as someone that’s part of the LGBTQ crowd, I really have no clue what these comments talking about them being ‘more aware’ of music is trying to say because a large population of gays still love Nicki Minaj, and she’s just as problematic of a person and hangs around people that are very problematic but you bump Starships and suddenly none of that matters. I personally wouldn’t play Kanye for a gay crowd just because he’s not the vibe most like in general regardless of the controversy but as stated, do you fam. Try a track and if people vibe you may be safe to try a few more.

  13. Is she problematic? Absolutely but saying she’s just as problematic as Kanye is a stretch imo. Kanye kept escalating and doubling down on his anti semitism, weird slavery comments, and open support for extreme alt right figures. Not to mention his treatment of his ex wife.

  14. Jason Todd. He could have been a punisher type character that “cleans up” Gotham and the general public is split on whose methods they like between him and Batman. There could have been nuanced tales with him murdering henchmen who were just doing what they had to do (not killing people) because they were poor but were still criminals, the public leaning towards Todd’s methods over Batman’s, “is he a villain” type stories etc. Instead he’s just the moodiest member of the bat family who occasionally goes rouge but never anywhere close to what he used to be. DC editorial just doesn’t know what to do with him and he’s been in his bat family role far too long to have him revert back to truly revert back to his old ways.

  15. Despite him not being a fan of a lot of superheroes I never felt like the way he wrote them in his stories felt excessively out of place or mean spirited. They were very much in tone with series (hitman and marvel knights punisher come to mind) and he just poked fun at them while highlighting their flaws. Almost like they were caricatures of themselves.

  16. The fate of Sentry around the end of Dark Avengers era was pretty heavy. Cable’s fate in Second Coming was a gut punch too after all him and Hope had been through in his series.

  17. It’s really not riddled with sexual violence, there are just several instances and all of them a crucial pivotal moments for characters, there are no excessive sexual violence in my opinion.

  18. There is a lot of it in the first quarter to third of the series. It’s also very graphic and is used as both a plot device and world building device. By that I mean it happens to main characters as part of their individual arc, and to side/background characters to emphasize the brutality of the berserk universe (which is where is gets into the excessive territory imo).

  19. A Serbian Film for obvious reasons, and Martyrs which may not be a popular opinion. I thought the multiple drawn out scenes of Anna getting graphically beaten was excessive to say the least. One would have gotten the point the across. It’s also even more eyebrow raising when taking the treatment of the actresses by the director into consideration.

  20. Dam that makes me even more concerned of lil infamous. Wtf has he been doing then. If he put out a solo tape with some Paul Beats, he’d get some good support

  21. I feel like ever since they officially signed with Paul their output has gone down. Also I think the stuff that they release with just the two of them or with their crew is way better than any of the stuff they do with Paul and Paul associated acts like Yelawolf. Both before they signed with him and while they have been signed with him. It’s almost like they would be better off just doing their own thing as opposed to trying to associate themselves so closely with Paul.

  22. I thought Somna was fantastic and I plan on picking up White Boat and One For Sorrow. 90% of what I read is digital so I was a little bummed at first about them being essentially only print, but I really like their oversized format. The books feel really sturdy, look great and aren’t filled with ads.

  23. Love these mashup style tattoos. Reminds of The Fly and it’s like both designs went into that machine at the same time.

  24. Wanted to check it out. Is it more action based? I’m assuming since theres lots of killing, based on what I’ve read about it.

  25. There’s a lot of killing yes but I don’t know if I’d call it “action based” since it’s not super stylized and the plot, which is pretty dark, is not centralized on the action. The action in it is more like something you’d find in Gladiator or Game of Thrones.

  26. Ah that makes sense. Miike always seems to encapsulate some sort of psychological aspects to his films, which I love. It adds to the story line and character relationships so well.

  27. Yeah it’s definitely character driven too and they have more depth than you’d typically find in an action movie.

  28. Yeah I happened to stumble across it while browsing ComiXology which is surprising considering how horrid the experience of using it now is after they merged it with kindle. It seems like it’s only available in English digitally which I found surprising.

  29. Have you read Gantz? It's another manga - truly bizarre aliens invade Japan and random deceased citizens are "resurrected" to battle them - given hi-tech weaponry and suits and zero training - if they survive long enough they get to go back to their normal life...

  30. Not yet but it’s on my list since my library has all 12 omnis. Sounds wild. Also have Blade of the Immortal, Deathtopia, Blood C, Hellsing, Devilman and Mieruko Chan on my read list as well.

  31. Reddit definitely has better moderation than any social media platform due to how it’s structured. Not saying it’s perfect by any stretch, but it’s a lot easier to avoid antagonistic content in well moderated subs and get the said content removed in a timely manner.

  32. My take is that reddit sucks a donkeys ass and that echo chambers are not real life

  33. No where on the internet is close to “real life” so I don’t know why you are making that comparison or having that expectation. If anything echo chambers are easier to avoid on Reddit than other platforms.

  34. I think they said like the cutaway cards used AI? Actually can’t believe people are this upset about it who gives a shit it’s like 40 seconds of screen time lol

  35. There are artists that make a living designing set pieces and concept art like that. For example,

  36. It’s a good one and definitely worth a watch. However the pandemic wasn’t a factor in its poor performance since came out in January well before everything was shut down. I think it’s just one of those movies that no one really paid attention to since the previews made on look generic, but gained popularity via word of mouth after being released to video. Malignant and Dredd are two other movies that come to mind that this also happened to.

  37. The Roland Gaia 2 is a full fledge synth that also has a usb c class compliant sound card. No audio in though, only stereo out. All the controls for the synth can send midi out so it’s a pretty formidable midi controller, but you will obviously be paying for the cost of an entire synth.

  38. I like everything I've read from him, but so far nothing has topped Uzumaki.

  39. Agreed, I think it’s Uzumaki by a lot. His art work is incredible but a lot of the time his stories don’t really stick the landing imo. I’ve read virtually everything of his that has been translated to English and I thought Uzumaki was the most consistent.

  40. But that's the worst offender. Shuichi practically explains the mystery/plot to the reader in the last few chapters just because. It was obnoxious.

  41. That’s not exactly what I meant by not sticking the landing. A lot of his stories (both long and short) have great ideas but end abruptly. Not in like a “cosmic ambiguous” way but more so in a “I ran out of ideas” or “I don’t want to write this anymore” way. It’s like they don’t have endings or are extremely rushed.

  42. A general rule with electricity is that whatever amperage is required should be 80% of what the power supply provides in case of power fluctuations. The digitakt requires 12v 1a so the power supply should be really be 12v 1.2a at least. If you notice the official digitakt power supply is actually rated at 12v 2a whereas the ripcord is only 12v 1a. That means it’s always pulling at the max of its rating. Volts need to be exactly the same, amps need to be at least the required amount but preferably more

  43. I see, I did get a power bank with enough head room but that's not the case with the ripcord, thanks!

  44. The power bank shouldn’t be an issue since virtually all of them will able to handle it unless you are plugging in multiple high consumption devices. I should have clarified that what I meant by “power supply” in this particular case was the actual cable and not the power source itself (power bank, outlet etc).
