I'm not sure how the ring works but he'd definitely put it on for fun despite warnings from the rest of his crew, and then once he finds out he can be invisible he will think it's cool and probably not get rid of it.
Also, she does it in a way that doesn't just make her an enabler, as we see with how she deals with Willow and her "magic problem." Having good boundaries is a really underrated and attractive quality.
