I would recommend playing the first Alan Wake and Control to fully immerse yourself in the game. Otherwise, you should definitely watch recap videos

wait are u serious? i can get armor piercing rounds there without researching them?
No, you still have to research it. But some attachments like the red dot and heavy barrel were already unlocked for the Marksman Rifle MK2.
