1. I'm a Richmond man, please don't put the mozz on yourself as I'm happy for us to get beat in a close game as to get good kids at the draft... May have also put $200 on Sydney.

  2. I haven’t even thought about the lid let alone given it a wiggle to see if it’s loose.

  3. Lid's moving for sure, just don't feel they've been as impressive as the 2 NSW teams.

  4. Just adding because OP may not be too experienced, check and double check compatibility when it comes to psu cables, getting the wrong one can really mess shit up.

  5. What about taking money out of super with the intention of going towards a deposit, but life circumstances changing and instead spending that savings on a europe trip, super included?

  6. Cool thread OP. I really liked this movie even though everyone here seems to be shitting on it.

  7. Watched it last night. Went in expecting a dumb but cool action movie with a great lead actor, that doesn't take itself seriously, and that's what I got. I enjoyed it a lot. The only thing I hated was McGregor is a terrible actor, because he's not an actor. Replace him with someone competent and I bet it'd be getting way better reviews.

  8. If a player is named in the team and on the day of the game tests positive for a stimulant then they should be getting banned for 4 years because that's the WADA rules and last I checked we follow those.

  9. Yes, but nothing that we've heard says the AFL isn't following that... Just that they do their own tests ahead of time (before game day) and enforce their own rules to rest players that return positive tests. They're apparently not circumventing any WADA guidelines by doing their own testing ahead of time.

  10. They arent following that though. A player is in violation if they have it in their system from midnight the night before.

  11. Has Wilkie made the claim that the AFL does this specifically on game day? If so then yea investigate what's going on to see if the claims are true and go from there, if not then I don't see an issue.

  12. Read this and my brain thought Bluesfest, which I'm going to, and shat bricks.

  13. Honestly, solid statement, makes sense to me. Players who have illicit drugs in their system shouldn't play/take part in training until it's out of their system. AFL doing their due diligence to protect the competitive integrity of the sport and also catch it before WADA game day tests seems totally legitimate to me and in line with the AFL's policies that have been a thing for ages. I don't know the legalities of their drug policy though so can't say if they're being shady or not.

  14. I just don't get why this is controversial? Testing players to make sure they don't have party drugs still in their system on game day makes sense when asada consider it fine outside of match day. If anything it ensures the game is cleaner. The only people who will be offended are the puritans who are super anti drug in any scenario

  15. I have no issue with players using rec drugs as long as it's out of their system come game day. The AFL lying about it all and not upholding their own illicit drug policy is iffy though, they'll cop it here a bit.

  16. "alleged trafficking" = getting bags for the boys. I get it that the amount he was purchasing for friends is legally considered "drug trafficking" but lets not get carried away thinking this is a new "Narcos: AFL" series unfolding

  17. Yea sorry I agree with what you're saying, just quicker to write what I wrote and leave it as alleged as we don't know enough aboutbthat situation yet.

  18. yeah... if he made an attempt at playing the ball of course he wouldn't be in strife. Instead he played the man and made high contact.

  19. He didn't really play the man. He misjudged and decided to give up on the mark after the jump. Deserves a suspension but didn't play the man.

  20. He jumped into the contest and made contact with the ball, the man or thin air?

  21. He had eyes for the ball when he jumped. I believe he was at that point trying to mark. After he jumped he knew he'd fucked up, closed his eyes and braced for impact. He deserves a few weeks off for sure but saying he was playing the man insinuates malice which isn't fair imo.

  22. Would be terrifying to be in that position, totally get him calling for a red flag. Also glad Alonso got penalised given the data showed his change in tactic on that lap.

  23. Has definitely felt a lot stricter here of late. I had a comment removed for "umpire abuse" that was genuinely just questioning a decision, not directly addressing the umpire at all, certainly not insulting them in any way. The auto response from rhe mod referenced the rhyming rule which I thought wasn't actually a thing anymore. No issue with stricter match thread rules, shit can get toxic, but a modpost discussing any changes would be nice.

  24. Come down hard on them? For doing a recreational drug in the off season? What have you been smoking mate...

  25. I got comments deleted for saying BT indulges in a white powdery substance lmao

  26. Tattooed on my chest, just perfectly exemplifies the music.

  27. Both amazing players, wouldn't really improve us any, plus we'd have to have a Daicos playing for us.... Yea nah.

  28. Love revisiting these guys every now and then. Grew out of that industrial vibe over the years, but these guys slap. This song's a fucking banger too.

  29. Oh no, not recreational drug use in the off season, how dare they.

  30. Heard a lot of reasonable takes on either side regarding this Wright hit, but arguing he was trying to "get out of the way" really aint one of them.

  31. It's pretty clear he turned to try and avoid contact, if he was going for a bump - he's going the wrong way about it.

  32. He turned, closed his eyes, and braced for impact, he didn't try to get out of the way, he had no chance of getting out of the way once he jumped.

  33. Last few times I've gone they haven't had any tim tams, ruins my day. I'm happy to donate as much as I can regardless, but ngl the free snacks are a big deal for me.

  34. To be fair, yes interstate teams joined an existing comp, but that comp (the VFL) was explicitly changing to a national competition. Once it changed to a national competition the systemic bias for Vic teams should have been phased out, but instead the AFL has just tried to give commissions to interstate teams to make up for it (which are necessary in the current system), and because of that they've just cocked it all up.

  35. Please show us even a single frame where you think he takes his eyes off the ball in the few milliseconds after jumping but before making contact. Just one. I’ll wait.

  36. Pretty obvious on the slo mo replay mate that after he jumps and before he hits Harry that he closes his eyes. We're talking a very small amount of time yes, but the MRO will take that in to consideration given he gives up on contesting the ball after jumping. If at the point of impact he had his eyes open on the ball and arms out trying to mark it then he wouldn't be at risk of suspension imo.

  37. Fair comment - I’m not fighting for no suspension, at the time of incident I assumed it would be four.

  38. It's definitely harsh, but the MRO (fairly or not) will argue that he had alternatives, which he did.

  39. Music (and all that encompasses) is definitely more important than lyrics to me. However, a musically great song with really amazing lyrics can help to elevate it to another level for me.
