1. IHS residencies aren't part of the match

  2. So many local apiaries and people still use the post office to get their bees. It’s inhumane.

  3. How do you know where the OP is to know how many local apiaries they have who sell bees?

  4. Excellent question at its annual summer meeting in 2007 ASHP declared that all patient care Hospitals shall be Pharmacy Residency trained. And so it was out of thin air the ASHP declared the Pharm D degree as not good enough while telling the Pharmacists in the field working in hospital to go pound sand... pffff thank ASHP!

  5. I'm just not sure that a house of delegates resolution is really much of a mark of anything. They are 4 years late doing anything about that resolution and I'm really not sure it has been discussed since then. I've never heard anyone ever cite the HoD as a reason for actually doing anything.

  6. Well that is my interpretation of it. Probably what really drove the residency in Pharmacy was the ability of the Health Systems to pay new Pharmacists peanuts for a 60 hour or more work week. That is essentially what a PGY1 is and does.

  7. Do you know what the house of delegates is? It isn't analogous to a board of directors (it's been 163 people for as long as I know for one thing). It's more like congress.

  8. I’m just here to say I feel the exact same way as you and you are not alone! PGY-1 is hard physically and mentally. My question is can the program actually fail you?

  9. Are you asking in general or his specific program? You absolutely can fail residency as late as May. It all depends on the programs specific policies and how the resident is doing on their objectives and requirements.

  10. Who is this Mineru you speak of? I am several hundred hours in. ??

  11. Did you go back to lookout landing after getting the 4th sage?

  12. Aren’t the odds good if the game is really successful Disney would just buy ravensburger?

  13. No. Disney isn’t Apple and doesn’t usually buy their supply chain or partners. Purchases have traditionally been IP, technology, or talent.

  14. This video really helped me understand, but I also understood from this that your chances are obviously higher if programs rank you 1 or 2

  15. It isn't just higher. If the program ranks you #1 (or #2 if they have 2 spots) then you are guaranteed to match there if you rank them #1.

  16. There is more complaining about people complaining about Zelda in this sub than there actually people complaining about Zelda and it gets really old.

  17. I pulled out my manual for my Coleman lantern and it’s two pages. I wouldn’t call that lengthy and I have definitely read the whole thing minus the legalese.

  18. Yes, precandidate and candidate programs have to abide by all accreditation standards.

  19. Since we are talking about policies, I noticed in few policy and procedure packets programs sent me that residents will not be working more than 40hours a week. Is this in the handbook for all programs ? If so then how do some programs make residents work longer than an average 8 hour day and end up over 40hrs in a week if it’s break the ashp rule?

  20. It is a not insignificant number of people. Maybe some of them are around, but we always get several people discussing it around September/October when the deadlines hit for everyone. How hard it is to get a job will depend on what you are willing to take.

  21. You do realize you skipped an entire 15 year span by skipping gen x?

  22. Xennials are a different thing from gen x. Gen x is 1965-1979. Xennials are less defined but usually people mean that 1980-1985 range of “elder millennials” who still grew up a lot like the younger gen x and remember the pre-internet age more.
