1. Yes it is. Tonali and Toney are addicts. The sport that has normalised, promoted and encouraged gambling, at high volume and visibility, for decades, is now punishing people for an addiction they helped to foster. It's the very definition of "don't do as we do, do as we say".

  2. It would be hypocritical if he was being charged for the "moral wrong" of gambling or something like that, but that's not what he's being charged for. The FA has no issue with gambling itself, evidently, with how often it's advertised to supporters.

  3. Phil staying is insane and can only be because of the lucrative business he's offering Lord Sugar.

  4. Ogbene out for at least a few weeks, so that's ten first-team players gone, and no depth to cover them.

  5. Well, they aren't obliged to go just because you ceded priority.

  6. It would be good to know what you've been failing on. Is there a pattern, or is it something different every time? Seven fails - presumably with different examiners for most, if not all of them - tells me that it's unlikely to be because of any bias on the instructors' part.

  7. Thatโ€™s what I thought, but todays examiner seemed quite bothered that i was alone. He said my instructor should have been there. Thats why it felt quite different today. I am aware is the post-test failure blues feeding my insecurities too, but just wanted to let it out.

  8. I know an examiner, and she told me that examiners like instructors to be there to hear straight from them why a student failed. That's really important for the learning process, so they can understand what needs addressing.

  9. Hm... Okay... My first question would be why play COP before CS but you do you no questions asked.

  10. Exactly. It's a good pun but unfortunately I'm unaware of any "draw" cuisine ๐Ÿ˜‚

  11. You can eat them then cos I'm not! ๐Ÿ˜‚

  12. It is an American show that was clearly written by and for them though.

  13. uc/ remember when this episode came out and a bunch of people complained that they made Gus gay?

  14. /uc Remember when this scene came out and a bunch of people were bending over backwards to explain how this scene totally did NOT prove muh sigma chad methlord was gay?

  15. Maguire is actually a French soldier and these brave men are longbowmen showing their contempt. ๐Ÿ‘

  16. No it's either that it looks a little bit like the gay pride flag, OR that it's simply not the St George's cross - similar to the "new head, new handle, is it the same brush?" sort of logic.ย

  17. It looks nothing like the gay pride flag. It shares colours with the BI pride flag, but that is very clearly coincidental.

  18. Curious about the cops that actually arrested him.

  19. Sure, but nobody outside of the highest echelons of government knew who Turing was or what he did. That was the whole point of it being top secret. All of it was still heavily classified when he died in the 1950s.

  20. I agree. She hasn't got the plaudits that Flo or Tre seem to have got, but she's clearly up there in terms of pure competence and ability.

  21. I would have really enjoyed seeing her getting interviewed.

  22. She would have been incredibly defensive and argumentative. Claude would have torn her a new one lol.

  23. If it helps her sentence will never be over. I used to work with the woman who threw that cat in a bin. It was like 8 years after and she still had to move jobs every few months, couldn't really make friends or advance in her career due to what she did. It's gonna follow her for the rest of her life.ย

  24. I think perhaps an anti-cyclist hero like her won't face anywhere near the same level of repercussions.

  25. I know COVID was a bad time generally, but it proved useful as a glimpse into the absolutely frightening levels of paranoia and self-serving greed people in this country and abroad will fall into with even mild supply issues and a whiff of shortage rumours.

  26. I honestly don't and have never seen the issue with her drinking zero-cal drinks. Don't get me wrong, she drinks them to excess, but if it helps her address the more pressing matter that is her weight, then I see no issue.

  27. We are more like the EU in the sense that local law is a much larger impact on day to day living than federal (EU) law. I wouldn't expect a German to know all the local laws in Portugal.

  28. That would be a fine explanation, but then why were Americans making meme after meme, tweet after tweet, joke after joke about the UK - a foreign nation - when they were considering this, but then none when states within their own nation were actually implementing it?

  29. Probably because you're not American and don't frequent subs with those memes? I can assure you there is at least one meme of someone making fun of the Texas law. We make fun of Texas and Alabama and Florida on a minute by minute basis.

  30. What subs would have them, just out of curiosity? With the UK it was in all the big meme subreddits, news subreddits, Twitter, etc.

  31. Maybe UK specific but Vicky Pattison went from a really beautiful woman to whatever the hell she allowed her butcher of a plastic surgeon to do to her.

  32. Unless you live in the middle of a town or city and you don't have a car, owning a car as a bike commuter is deadly. It's deadly because driving is easy, quick, and it's comfortable.

  33. I mean, they will appeal as they have nothing to lose in doing so.
