  3. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Pa. House passes law requiring disclosure of AI-generated content

  4. Plus, on top of Congressman (and soon-to-be Senator) Schiff's BASED legislation on AI regulation, I'm sure Tech Bros and Tech YouTubers who hyped about AI being the next big thing, are in shambles.

  5. He won’t. The Rock has it in his contract that he can never lose a fight, ever.

  6. Which, in fairness to Dwayne, he is actually doing really good, if you're keeping up with the Bloodline story so far in the past 4 months. It's a shame that Dwayne has this "enlightened centrist" take on IRL politics, probably because of not wanting to offend right-leaning fans.

  7. Hey there! Sorry if I was barging in, however, I feel that the user you were having a back-and-forth yesterday over Labour's stance on trans people, are coming from a place of concern over the welfare and safety of trans people, especially in a context where trans people were (and still are) getting killed in America and in your home country of the UK, for being simply who they are. And from my perspective of someone who delve into UK politics in a while, I can safely say that as much as Labour being a massive improvement over the Tories on other areas that Labour can be better, I won't hold my breath that the state of trans people will be better, that they'll be able to easily access gender affirming care under the NHS, that there will be strong anti-hate crime laws passed in parliament that protects trans people (I think the late Brianna Ghey comes to mind, may her soul rest in peace), and etc., under Starmer's Labour. And it's that I hope you at least understand what me and the other user could explain to you our issues with Labour. Like sure, them commemorating Trans Day of Visibility was a start, but I hope Starmer would reverse course the reputation the UK has for being "TERF Island" and actually follow through and passing pro-trans policies in Parliament, oh, and not acquiesce to the TERFs in his party who intermingle with bigots like JKR and Graham Linehan.

  8. Man, Beck's Irish accent was so strong in this confrontation, wow! I wonder how this feud would end.

  9. Given how drama-prone our community is, I don't want the mods and our community to get the hammer for engaging in brigading, besides, they have too much on their hands. Pretty sure Enny or other mods will ban us from this and other Vaush online forum for doing this.

  10. https://x.com/VautismSpeaks/status/1772503861821116661?s=20

  11. Sidenote, I realized how Vaush is more frequent on this account than his OG account, given the last thing he posted was the "Context video" and a retweet of WillTheRose's tweet (I wonder if WillTheRose and Will_From_PA are similar). Prob for the best.

  12. I live in southern california and I cringe hard every time I drive by these neighborhoods with fucking grass lawns. I dont have a problem with them inherently but in socal water is such a scarce resource in general, we could save so much money collectively if we agreed that we dont need fucking grass. Our neighborhoods should look like the ones in Arizona or Nevada.

  13. And I think we can make a fiscal responsibility case for it by arguing doing away with grass lawns saves money for localities, so they can use the money for other things.

  14. I agree those ideas are really good. We need to include environmental considerations far more when building stuff and it needs to be a central pillar of planning.

  15. As long as its not abused like the NIMBYs who sue cities whenever they tried to build housing or public transit by evoking NEPA or in my case in California, the CEQA, which should be done away with or least reform the bill to exclude efforts to build affordable housing and transit projects like CAHSR, which are why it took long for it to construct.

  16. I'm actually wondering how does YIMBYism/urbanism goes along with the call of decommodification? I know there's YIMBYs that support social housing and those that are hesitant (like the Max Dubler guy on Twitter).

  17. Whichever zoomer white house staffer they let run the Twitter account is on point

  18. What if they're a Vaushite? Pog? Highly doubt they watch Hasan.

  19. I feel this segment disproves the "RadLib" allegations tankies and some leftist have thrown to Vaush, and it proves how liberal a good chunk of Vaush's community is. I'm sure there will be good faith discussion over Vaush's clear socialist take on the matter.

  20. While I'm glad that NBC dropped Ronna McDaniel after fierce opposition from the hosts at NBC and MSNBC, the fact the executives ever thought of bringing on a former RNC chairwoman who engaged in the elections denial nonsense in the first place, is astounding. Like, what were they thinking? What did she do to even being considered?

  21. "Breaking Points" is (unofficially) all about criticizing / blaming Democrats from the populist left via Krystal Ball and populist right via Saagar Enjeti. The Youtube comments on the videos seem to be dominated by populist right fans of the show while the Reddit sub for it has a wider variety of views, more who are critical of them.

  22. And it's also very conspiratorial, like, they have videos on having denial over the origins of COVID, as well as the alien stuff months ago. Though to Krystal's credit, there were moments where she pushed back against Saagar on key issues, like immigration, where Saagar went full-on fash. But regarding the comments section, yeah, it's reactionary AF.

  23. Please let us know regarding the status for Congressman Andy Kim's senatorial campaign, if it's still worth canvassing for the guy given First Lady of NJ Tammy Murphy have dropped out, and if we should canvass solely for Bowman or for a progressive in a major primary race where they can win. Thanks!

  24. I think the real disconnect is from the fact that most people don't examine their own beliefs and react poorly. So they concieve of themselves as a "socialist" but never actually explore what that entails.

  25. I think that, plus, they were disaffected liberals when they found Vaush, especially around 2020, so they have this expectation Vaush would re-affirm their beliefs, so when he says stuff like decommodify housing, it's hard for them to conceptualize Vaush saying that because of the false impressions they think socialists are. At least this is my theory on it. But boy, ArrVaushV was per usual, insufferable about it.

  26. Commenters on Congresswoman AOC trying to be normal challenge (Impossible)

  27. Maybe too hard, perhaps went hard like Icarus is towards the Sun.

  28. Yeah this is just mean spirited.

  29. Is this still happening? I haven’t signed up but I’ll sign up around summer when I can volunteer.

  30. In the meanwhile, you could sign up to be part of their Discord, so you can know when they have stuff for us to do.

  31. Is progressive victory still associated with Vaush after everything that happened?

  32. Yep, I actually asked about any plans PV will have with our community, and one of them replied and said yes, but it's in the works. They announced a canvassing operation for Congressman Bowman and Congressman Andy Kim for his Senate run, so I hope they include our community (if not, then RiverBoatJack) for the operation.

  33. Love seeing Jennings getting absolutely eviscerated by the rest of the hosts for saying there was nothing for moderates, independents etc just Democrats, he’s lying, ignorant, political, didn’t show empathy etc. what a partisan hack…

  34. What were the arguments the other hosts made if you don't mind me asking?

  35. Just finishing off the night with some Habit Burger (some regional chain here in SoCal, pretty good) with my dad after a long yet productive day. I'm definitely believe Biden's SOTU would benefit his standing among voters, and hopefully the polls reflect that.

  36. It really sucks that like the economy, feelings are more important than facts when it comes to crime. Violent crime is down here in LA County. Tough on crime doesn’t work as a deterrent, we have the highest incarceration rates on the planet, it clearly doesn’t work. Looks like I’ll have to volunteer for Gascon’s campaign to help him beat that con Nathan Hochman in November

  37. Good luck! It definitely felt slimy that Nathan Hochman has portrayed himself as an "independent" when he's a Republican. Gascon should call that out and be on the offense this coming November.

  38. What's wild is these folks getting away with being GOPers here until like, right before the election. Caruso tried it before, and then Hochman was one until literally last year

  39. Hey, what's up! Long time no see. But yeah, agreed that this has been an annoying and slimy way for Republicans to gain power, I believe LA Councilwoman Traci Park has done it as well and like you, I believe that Hochman is trying to sneak into power by portraying himself as an indie candidate, I hope Gascon is aware of this, and go on the offense, gloves off.

  40. NIMBYs and North American Urbanist Naysayers in shambles...

  41. IE resident (though I lived in LA County and have been to LA a couple of times), I hope this keeps, because LA needs this so bad.

  42. Probably, but it’s less about the results and more partying with you fine peeps.

  43. DDHQ just called Vermont and Virgina for Biden.

  44. I had a Cold Brew with some sweetener and a splash of Califia Farm's oat milk, the one that is only "oats, water, and sea salt", and ngl, it barely properly mixes in with the cold brew, it didn't look like how coffee with milk should look like (in comparison, I had it with FairLife whole milk, best dairy milk, that mixed in well) if you know what I mean. It's still tasty, but oh well. It's interesting how much outrage there was at oat milk brands because they had seed oils and gums because certain influencers (cough, cough, Bobby Parrish from FlavCity, cough, cough) told them that it's, despite the evidence showing how seed oils aren't the big bad these influencers like to propagate.

  45. I recommend Chobani full fat oatmilk if you want to give oatmilk a good shot. That stuff is amazing.

  46. I'm talking about the HRT. Vaush said F1nn's on HRT because his skin is so smooth, to which F1nn responded by saying Vaush just has a skill issue.

  47. I've seen liberals in another subreddit (Cough, Cough, ArrVoteDem, Cough Cough) post hoc justifying this ruling by saying that they're glad it happened because it would have led Republicans to bar Biden or another Democrat from running for office, which literally is a slippery slope argument. And another argument is that they argued that people think it as a "one-trick-pony," which, where did people say that? We just want Trump getting consequences, and that "states rights" should be consistent.
