I have a family member that has seizures but they aren't as severe as Grand Mal seizures. When my family member has their seizures they freeze like a deer in the headlights. Start clawing their face, mumbling incoherently and try to get up and move around. Grand Mal seizures are much more severe and you are just supposed to protect them so they don't swallow their tongue or harm themselves when they are thrashing around uncontrollably for several minutes or more. They can be pretty traumatic to witness. I can't imagine what it would be like to have them on a regular basis.

Just a PSA but you can not swallow your own tongue. You could bite it off during a grand mal but that doesn't happen often. You should never try to or put something in someone's mouth while they are seizing. You could break their jaw or lose a finger. There's not much you can do for someone other than make sure they can't hit their head.

I'd say both. During assessment she probably tried to call the shots and so she was denied. I also think that she's getting alot of inmate lawyering and has learned that being a part of an ITP will keep her locked up much longer. I wouldn't be surprised if she was released at sentencing with time served and probation.
