simple: Every 90 pulls you are guaranteed a 5 star. This number never resets. If you do 45 now then this counter of 45 is kept for every future banner until you get a 5 star. The first time you get a 5 star it is a 50% chance to get either the rateup unit or one of the general pool 5 stars. If you DON'T get the rateup unit the next time you get a 5 star you are guaranteed the rateup unit no matter which banner you do this on.
