I made a map of the Cogs! Using the top-down map of Sharn, I made a map of the city's industrial underbelly that presents each of the three districts as having unique geography: branching lava rivers in Ashblack, magma lakes in Blackbones, and the winding tunnels of Khyber's Gate! Made in Inkarnate

I backed through backerkit and I would love to still see the playtest kit. It's also down, but I would appreciate someone sharing it with me!
Very cool! I love the different areas. Great work on differentiating them within the theme
There is a fun Indiana Jones/Tomb Raider hack:
“It made me feel 20 years younger and a thousand years old at the same time.”
I was going to tip this as well. It's a great update of the whole FitD system and it might not be too hard to translate BitD to this! It takes the roll out of resistance. You can only resist Harm and it just costs a set amount of stress. It's real easy and works like a charm.
I don't think so. Right now, their expansion/new game Undead Awakening is shipping, and it seems the press that released it has disbanded in the mean time. You could always visit
Runners in the Shadows, a Shadowrun FitD-hack, has a nice little system in place for cyberware, which neatly combines with special abilities.
Someone made a game for this! Check out
Pick a single game that sounds cool and learn it. There isn’t a shared rule system. You don’t need to learn one to learn the others. And learning one does not necessarily mean that you’ll immediately know the others. Pbta just means “a game whose creator was inspired by Apocalypse World.” There is large diversity within these games. You can even have a Pbta game without dice, for example.
Escape from Dino Island functioned like a fine entry point for me. Not too big. Fun premise. A lot of classic PbtA tech.
I agree it is a pretty good one. The one-shot focus is great.
I thought this question was about reading to start understanding the basics of PbtA.

Might the Google Sheets Character Keeper help?

Miro costs money though, it is unfortunately not a free option.
That is half true. You can read here how you can use Miro for rpgs while remaining on the free tier:
You should try the AGON fandiscord:

Hmm, switching from system to system can be a lot of fun! But you do need a structure to support it. Sure you can do variations on characters, but making it feel like a continuity might be a little harder.
You got it on the nose; it's mostly a pre-emptive compromise. My main group of IRL friends are chill with TTRPGs, but not enough to want to play as much or as varied as me.
The thing is, there might not be a lot of groups keen on system switching. But it's an interesting area to explore. Have you tried proposing short campaigns? Six sessions, for example? Or are you looking for a way to essentially do a series of one-shots?
There doesn't seem to be anything like that. The

They're asking for a module for the Forged in the Dark game Fistful of Darkness.
You can look into
You might think about the flavour of Downtime, especially Vices. Does that match the fiction of ideologically motivated freedom fighters? This is just a suggestion, but maybe the bonds mechanic from Beam Saber are a nice fit? Or you could probably reskin them differently.
I love the
Planning? None.
Just wanted to say that this was helpful for me to leart to distinguish between making a plan -- which can then be put into a category and a detail -- and planning for contingencies. It's the difference between finding the conditions for a broad plan and hypothesizing about events that could throw a wrench into that plan. Cool!
Yea, the GM Reference in the
Would you look at that! There is! On page 28 of it.
Personally, I think reviewing the player best practices with them will result in less participation. At least that has been my experience. When I have done this in the past it has made people feel like they are not playing “right”. Which made them feel like they were making mistakes and made them uncomfortable.
Well, it might be a learning curve, but wouldn't it be better to grow as a group into one keeping an eye on each other? Spontaneous play is nice, but it doesn't have to be the only way to have fun.
I´ve been fiddling with the Spider for a light hack, and this occured to me as well, but as others have said, Foresight is something like two free flashbacks. But there´s also Functioning Vice. While not a direct flashback ability, it allows Spiders to have far better chances at clearing all stress without repercussions, giving them the best chances of having every resource to call for complex flashbacks.
Hiya! I'm curious but the access to the file is blocked!
