I did test it on my Galaxy S23 One UI 6.1 and it does shows the option to create widget. The problem that i have is that it doesn't change icons (I am using set widget icon and set widget label actions) and it has the name of the task (with the widget shortcut).
Experienced an issue with the Play Store Beta version: while it does show the 3 widgets, but I can't add none to the homescreen. It shows a notification asking to exit tasker with back button instead of the home button, but I always do it with the back button, to apply and run changes. No matter what I do, this error doesn't change, but with this new version installed it works fine.
I am also having this problem with OneUI launcher (Samsung A14, Android 14, OneUI 6.0), but the task widget is available with other launchers. Unfortunately OneUI seems to be the only launcher that works consistently on my device
So let them complain. You can clearly explain it in the release notes. Although I don't have a reference list handy - there's many many accomodations implemented in Tasker to provide workarounds for one user segment or another.
I've got some potentially bad news. Once it is available in your area - high-speed data throughput through the mobile hotspot on your device will likely be greatly reduced. Not in a 'total monthly usage' sense - but in the sense that you'll likely no longer have the same speed of data to play reliably through your phone.
I know that this is REALLY old but I am newish to Tasker and I wondered if you might have the files and if they would still work with Tasker all these years later.
Certainly! But I first want to try and finish the UI implementation itself before adding any new features, so that'll will have to wait until I'm done with that... 😅
Alright let's start with this. In the "Multiple Variables Set" Action, there needs to be a "Format 2" selectable from a drop-down menu, where the fields change to varname=value pairs.
Hi, I ve using it for vertical position scenes today I tried editing a horizontal positioned scene but your scene positioner don't seem to be optimized for horizontal mode or did I mess up something?
Just use another Action after that one like Tasker's built-in "Variable Search/Replace" or perhaps even better use AutoTools Text and in that Action use the "Replacements" section to do the replacements, with the advantage being you can input multiple variable names in the Input section and replace them all in one go.
There are many online VoIP and "virtual" number services that offer texting from on online browser interface accessible from any type of connected device. So that can be an option for texting if you have such a number/service ;)
Yes, we were using widgets. We have Tasker set up with seven separate tasks. One for each alert level and location. We have icons assigned within Tasker for each action. The problem is when I try to put the widget for each task on one of the home screens, it won't show. We were using 1x1 widget size. I have Tasker open right now and the tasks are like they should be.
Ratchet, do you have any idea how to achieve that? The download link has restricted access.
I'm not quite sure, this thread is from 7 years ago ;)

I'm using Xiaomi phone and I'm can also see only 2 widgets. Maybe it's because of home launcher? I'm using Niagara
Please test this fix linked to in

But then people will complain that there are 2 widgets that do the same 😫Samsuuuuuung!! ✊

Ok, I added the extra widget. Can you please try
Yes please send them my way! 🤣
No it’s around 200-500 idk what the issue is, I have it on a window and I get 3-4 bars on it
Unfortunately it’s not available in my area yet. I have signed up to be notified when it does become available.

I'm pretty sure when you make a new post you can select the Flair you want on the submission page.
As an alternative to Modes/Routines - the app Tasker is always an option. Lots of info and helpful folks at

Welcome to Tasker!
Lookin good!

Well put it on the "definite" list because that's something that definitely needs to be added :D
Ok, let's hear it 🤭 I can't promise to add everything though!

Ok, how's this? Can you please try
Well the docs are a little confusing, but indeed it works!!
Ah, found it!
Yeah the base project is a good place to look for orphaned Tasks (and variables too ;)

When phone Orientation is horizontal , your project looks not like if it was Portrait.
Ah, I see what you're saying now.
You can find a lot of guides here:
I also recommend that YouTube playlist, I watched all those videos when getting started with Tasker :)
And you still learned diddly-squat... 😂
I am the Jedi Master.
Use Tasker Action Net > Network Access then choose "Deny All" from the drop-down menu.
If on newer, Play store versions, will need
Good call!
My guess it's something like this that is the trouble, the only thing is that it's the first time I have experienced any issues of this kind.

The advantage here is that you don't have to have another phone with service available 😅 But that works too of course!

I hope that too.
Is pretty simple now that "Variable Passthrough" is available.
Did you end up trying the new action? 😅
I didn't get a chance to yet. I've been travelling a lot over the past couple weeks and been so crazy busy. But I'll be trying it soon for sure!

Great suggestion!!
Done!
That's great! And you're very welcome ;)
