1. I take albuterol like 15 minutes before I start excercize. I also find I need to do a lot longer warm up than my teammates

  2. I am on it. No side effects at all for me, and I usually get a lot of side effects from medication. Not as effective as some other medication for me, but no side effects

  3. It feels like my anxiety gets turned down a little. Not super drastic, but usually it’s enough. I like it.

  7. A steroid inhaler is common treatment for bronchitis too. So if you are wheezing or have shortness of breath etc., it will probably be beneficial. Steroid inhalers have pretty low amounts of side effects, so being able to breathe well is most likely worth the risk of any potential side effects

  8. I don’t know about any support groups, but just wanted to say that swimming is actually one of the easier forms of cardio for me. Maybe if you want to go deep that could be an issue, but I lap swim and it’s great for my lungs.

  9. Yes, definitely talk with his doctor. It does not sound like his current treatment is working. It’s pretty common to have the flare ups in the evening, but it’s a sign that he needs some med adjustments. Just tell the doctor what’s been going on and say that you don’t think his current treatment is being effective and ask about other options.

  10. Tests for asthma won’t always pick it up, so it’s not the biggest deal to not have any testing. I generally just go on how I feel.

  11. Finding a controller medication that works for him might take some trial and error, but once you find a good one for him, he will probably stay on that for a long time. (It can sometimes be a pain to find the right one for you because everyone is different)
