1. Yay! Glad your gut biome is more balanced now and you're off your meds. It's crazy to think I had my first GERD flare 15 days ago, and on pantoprozol. It's getting better. But 20 years, wow. Congrats.

  2. Likely because you feel bad about being unable to control the anxiety on your own. It feels like you’ve failed at life or are defective.

  3. Could be covid or covid vaccine because a lot of ppl get this symptom

  4. I think last year I went to the ER almost 20 times until I realize it was the hiatal hernia causing the chest pain And it sucks bc it hurts right where my heart is, it caused me so many panick attacks/anxiety. Fun fun

  5. Meeeeeee! And I never know which one triggers the other. I’m in the throws of it right now, and I can’t do my day to day life activities because I’m so miserable. But I have meds for both to help me get by.

  6. Omeprazole and Probiotics for the acid reflux, and Lorazepam for the anxiety.

  7. Buspar helps with physical symptoms like lump in the throat?? I’ve been taking buspar for 6 weeks 10mg twice a day

  8. I just asked my GI Dr about this today. My issue started mid august with some LPR type symptoms (throat clearing, throat discomfort). No idea what started the problem, but shortly after I had an unrelated health scare. This caused some of the worst anxiety I’ve ever experienced. My GI issues got so much worse at that point. My anxiety hasn’t gone away, but I’m working on it and hoping the reflux symptoms also go away when my anxiety improves. This whole experience has been one of the lowest points of my life.

  9. Honestly the best thing I did was start taking lexapro and an acid reflux medication and then changing my diet to not activate the acid reflux. Good luck I hope you get it figured out soon, it’s definitely debilitating

  10. I've had GERD for many years way before pregnancy so I am very familiar with reflux! I also have a hiatal hernia which is when your stomach bulges up into your chest through your diaphragm. For me it felt like I had a hair or something stuck in my throat that I just couldn't get rid of. I actually thought I had some kind of throat cancer or something. Anyways, it was just a hernia and it is now controlled by avoiding triggers like alcohol and keeping my GERD under control with medication.

  11. My doctor insists that the half life of buspar means nothing. I got sick and was unable to take my daily doses for 2.5 days. I got extremely depressed and borderline suicidal during this time, and I wasn’t sure how much of that I could attribute to the absence of the Buspar- but both my therapist and psychiatrist insisted that I was being dramatic and the sensation was either placebo or unrelated to the Buspar at all. It was very intense and I don’t want to take the medication anymore, but my psychiatrist said that I’m fine and doubled my daily dose. Am I the crazy one???! Haha I probably am but I just feel so conflicted about this interaction and experience w the med :( Do you think you can experience psychological effects within 48 hours of halting doses?

  12. Been taking 1 to 2 xanax 1mg a day for awhile now. They put me on sertraline awhile back and that seem to help and my xanax use went way down sometimes none at all for months. Last couple years it has gotten worse and now back on the xanax. Dr has prescribed me clonazepam 1mg while upping my Zoloft since xanax doesn’t seem to be helping with my social anxiety at this point. Never took clonazepam before is 1mg a strong dose? What should I expect from it compared to the xanax feeling wise? Appreciate any advice.

  13. Get it out. I never got Covid until I got the copper iud. It depletes the zinc from your body. Your body needs zinc to maintain a healthy immune system. Honestly some of those symptoms may not even be long Covid, they might be directly from the iud itself. If you take it out and decide you want another one, you can always go get a reinsertion. It’s worth removing to see in my opinion.

  14. I just started lexapro and was previously on Effexor. I have been on 7.5 mg of buspar at night with both (about 5 months now). Buspar took forever to kick in for me but it helps me fall asleep at night and I do feel less anxious it with it. It took about 2 months to notice a difference. And my psych repeatedly told me it takes at least 5 weeks to notice an improvement with the buspar. It can cause some side effects, like feeling drowsy and dizzy, especially at higher doses. I initially was started at 15 mg twice a day and that was way too high for me. Take things day by day and keep track of how you are feeling. I journal my moods each day to see if I notice an improvement. I’m still waiting on the lexapro to kick it - it’s only been 4 days on it so far and that is after three weeks of tapering off 150 mg Effexor. You got this and if you have to change it up that is okay too!
