1. Damn I’m sorry. I hope that having the girl she always wanted brings her some peace and healing with the recent loss of her mom.

  2. There is no one size fits all approach to buying a house . What looks like a great deal to me in my area might seem overly expensive or very cheap in your area . The average income in my area might not be even close to the average income in your area . As a general guide home prices might rise and fall together but not every individual will settle at 1 specific price when it comes to selling. The best time to buy is when you find the house that fits the description of what you are looking for and is selling at the price you find attractive. If you cannot find that then continue to look until you do. When you eventually find what you are looking for then that will be the time to purchase long term . The interest rate and the financing comes second .

  3. Thank you - I’ve been holding off on purchasing bc the inventory doesn’t scream dream house in my budget. I appreciate this feedback!

  4. It is very hard to time the market. If you’re waiting for a correction to buy, historically you would have been waiting years and years. In the meantime, you’re spending those years on the sidelines just waiting. You may be putting off starting a family or getting into woodworking. At some point you need to just live your life. That’s why people suggest buying now. In the long run, home prices like the stock market appreciate. So if you’re planning to hold 5 or 10 years, you will likely come out ahead regardless of when you bought in

  5. Ok this makes sense thank you. Yes I feel like I’ve been holding off on my dream lifestyle and there are a lot of opportunity costs in other ways than just monetary. Thank you!

  6. From your post history you’re in a very toxic, unhealthy, abusive relationship. I think you need to seek professional help in a therapist who specializes in domestic violence and divorce to see if they can help you build up the courage to leave. OP in case you don’t hear it enough, you are worthy and deserving of a loving and healthy relationship.

  7. y'all really need to stop gossiping...because whoever it is needs to stay out of this horserace y'all have going!

  8. I agree. It can be really awkward if you get it and then are the supervisor/manager of everyone who gossiped lol

  9. "Buckle in. Assuming rates remain near their current 6.5% and the economy skirts recession, then national house prices will fall almost 10% peak-to-trough," he said in a recent tweet. "Most of those declines will happen sooner rather than later. And house prices will fall 20% if there is a typical recession."

  10. I loved Italy pre-parenthood. But we were just there for an extended vacation with our toddler and if I'm being honest it wasn't the easiest place with a toddler. We stayed in the city and our friends stayed in a villa in the countryside. Our friends in the countryside never left their villa and they had an amazing time. But their villa was paradise. It was basically an estate with pools, hot tubs, mansion.

  11. This sounds like an absolutely terrible idea. 2.5 yo and 10 months won't remember this, so it's just for you and you won't be able to enjoy it because the kids will be overtired, overstimulation and out of any semblance of normality. But, you do what you want. This sounds like a nightmare.

  12. That’s what I worried about. I was like maybe I’m being naive…. Lol I’ll start with hawaii Airbnb

  13. I think it depends on the ingredients. Most Chinese food for instance just used ground pork, chicken, beef, etc. but Korean dishes often use expensive ingredients such as short rib. I went to h mart to make galbi tang. I bought enough for 2 servings and the meat alone cost $30.

  14. I think the point at the end was to show Dean is becoming crazy obsessed over the house - just like Andrew Pierce. Nora wants him to let go and follows him. The home is destroying their marriage, or the obsession with the home I should say. She knows he is lying about the traffic and his job interview. Deans life will likely end up like Andrew’s as we see Andrew at the end being one of the people watching/obsessing over the home.

  15. Typically if the stock market crashes, the real estate market will see a crash 6-12 months later because there’s always a delay since houses get bought/sold slower.

  16. Ours did this from about 14 - 20 months. And like you, we tried everything to get her to sit down.

  17. Oh I know the squat. Haha he just hasn’t gone lower than that but I remain hopeful one day :)

  18. Can you ask him why? The only reason mine doesn’t sit is when the water is too hot for more sensitive parts 🤷‍♀️

  20. Have you received a second opinion? Not all therapists and doctors are equal. It sounds like if this has been getting progressively worse, it may be time to get different professional help. It’s nice to hear he is willing to get treatment/help in the first place. Not all men are open to this.

  21. Everyone here has shared really great information on describing what it is - id like to address the part of integrating it / working on it.

  22. You’re a wonderful mom. You’re doing everything exactly right. That’s kind of shitty that your husband woke you up to say that. I am sorry.

  23. I'm sorry for your friend's older brother. That's awful.
