Great question. I live out east here. The soil on the north shore of the island is good. Since the sediment is good filtration for groundwater we have some of the cleanest in the USA, despite being so close to nyc.
Based on my own experience, I would guess the average experienced seeder is able to shell/eat about 10 seeds per minute (1 every 6 seconds). At that rate, you’d have to eat seeds for about 69 whole days (nice) before reaching 1,000,000.

Heard about this. There’s a bug that goes into the shells of sunflower seeds and f’s up the seed for whatever reason. If you eat a crumbly and otherwise nasty seed it’s the bug’s work

I thought it was hard and took a small bite of it, it’s basically like pure powder! Unlike one of those hard seasoning sticks I have seen many times. This appears to be a barely stuck together massive ball of pure salty seasoning. It’s like an entire back of the amazing seasoning you get at the end of the bag.
