That’s the thing… I didn’t finance it. The money was money I had been setting aside from my paychecks for the last 21 years as a teacher in order to buy a Landcruiser when I retired. So I just paid cash. Yes. I paid tax. I guess this is a good point… if I could find a dealership that had a landcruiser that wasn’t marked up to $100,000 (which is almost impossible to find) or with the Tacoma TRD Pro in electric lime (my original choices) then I could trade and get the sales tax credit. I would just need them to be willing to give me $45,800 in trade value toward the new/alternate Toy LC or Taco I originally wanted. Thanks for the advice and the thoughts. I appreciate it and it helps in the process.
