It will be the cardboard box thing they did a while ago, but full console. Depending on the game you have to build unique controllers out of cardboard to play.
Insert Credit has been interesting lately, Simone de Rochefort, Jenna Stoeber, Casey Explosion, Jeff Gerstmann have all been guests. I’ve been following Tim Rogers for a while and really enjoy him and the rest of the hosts but I think the show is better with guests, specifically I’m kind of averse to all dude gaming pods these days so it’s been good seeing more women on the show.
I’ll second Triple Click (Jason Schrier, Maddie Myers & Kirk Hamilton) with the same reservations that it’s hard to get into sometimes. It’s very tight runtimes, so the antithesis of the five-star runtime. But Schrier’s big on reporting on crunch in gaming and Kirk and Maddie sometimes hit on that more critical lens for looking at games.
I could see it being like an Isengard situation from Lord of the Rings where it’s been turned into a huge pit with foundries and smoke and lava. King bokoblins stomping around. With some big nasty ogre thing at the very bottom.
Same and I love it!! Realizing that I had spent the last 6 years trying to find a game that does something similar and just learning again that there’s nothing quite like it.
Is there a real irl map for botw? Could always use that, as it would be legit. I mean, they got maps logically in game anyways. Used to use the maps that came with gta games back then all the time.
What if there’s A Link to the Past mechanic where we’re just seeing the first half stuff but there’s a whole upside-down Hyrule or something like that?
Agreed, we have different map formations, new cave entrances, new underground areas, the sky islands, new building mechanic, we saw quite a bit of new enemy variations, new weapons, darker toned Zelda game, and Ganondorf. I still think they’re holding some stuff back still as well. I’m pretty hyped.
I agree that they’re holding stuff back. I have a feeling we’ve seen maybe 33% of the … idk what you call it (in design we call it ‘visual language’) … like the palette of things and textures and environments and enemies.
I don’t know. I loved the sparseness of it while roaming around in BotW and loved the rendition of the overworld theme while riding your horse. Iirc towns, bosses, divine beasts all had their own music, yeah?
It would be interesting if they just released the successor as a "Switch 2" and had it backward compatible forever like xbox and playstation. But keep it a hybrid console ofc.
If they did this, I could honestly see them releasing a second console. Whatever crackpot VR+Tamagotchi+Social Network+Article of Clothing console their R&D has been cooking up since 2017.
Just gonna say that it’s ok to be bummed. Even if it’s a game, that was a significant investment of your time that got zapped out of existence. I’m sorry.
I feel the same way! I tend to lose steam pretty quickly in long dungeons, so having a lot of bite-sized shrines everywhere with a couple bigger "dungeons" (the divine beasts) for major story beats was pretty perfect for my play style. I also loved exploring and finding them littered across the map. I know a lot of people prefer more traditional dungeons, and I wouldn't mind if they returned, but I'm also hoping that shrines (or some kind of mini-dungeon system similar to them) will still be included. Will definitely be sad to see them go if they get completely removed!
Agreed. I think it’d be perfect if they could keep 4 medium length dungeons like the Beasts in BoTW, and cut the shrines down to 40-60 and give us three-four massive dungeons, like Hyrule castle area.
I have no idea this does seem to be the hardest and most ambiguous seed, all of the 3 or 4 solutions I've seen feel like they have to cheese something. I found a fairly reliable place on the exact opposite side of the boat up the hill a little bit then it flattens out like a little platform and there are rocks there that also look like they're marking a t off point. If you use stasis and hit a rock from there it will bounce off the curved front and stay on the roof
It’s also pretty consistent that if you go in the direction of the missing rock, you will find rocks for use…so this seems to add credence to this being the way the devs were designing this to be solved.
I’m with you, I prefer when Fri/Sat put up a bit of a fight.
Second vote for Puzzmo
I'll be at the tournament for the first time this year too, I'm so excited and thanks for the tips!
Me too!!
We call it the “reverse rainbow” in my family group thread and decided it’s the A+ score in Connections
Yes! “Backwards Rainbow” is what we’ve been calling it among my friends. But I like your alliteration
Hollow Knight 100% 112% complete rewards you respect and admiration among other gamers
This is the way

Haha! My bet is underpowered, AR, photovoltaic headset

I'm replaying BoTW in preparation. Haven't played in a few years and enough time has passed that it feel fresh again!

Couldn’t avoid the Tears of the Kingdom hype and am picking up BotW to try and finish the Master Mode run I started a year ago before TotK comes out.
Usually I replace with apple cider though there’s definitely a taste difference
Yes yes, he should create CrochetBlight Ganon
Yessss! The Wooly World x BOTW crossover we need
It’s called tears of the kingdom, if anything the rain is going to get stronger
Just makes sense

There’s a map that comes with the official strategy guide:
Was a banger! Sea of Stars demo was a nice surprise!
Yeah!! Solid demo too that showed off some of the game’s mechanics, gorgeous art and great music.
I dyed basically all my sets black bc I’m weird like that lol
Yo, the black skull is 🔥🔥

Day-umn
Yea, i hope they do more with the music this time.

This sounds fantastic!

Kirby and the Forgotten Land
Legitimately some of the most creative visuals. They leaned into the cotton candy post-apocalypse in a way only Kirby can.
