This is such a good example of how pitbulls victimise. The jack Russell was scared and possibly hurt, pitbull picked up on that, and it became very interested in it.

Yupp they seem to be driven to prey on the vulnerable. I almost think the reason a lot of people don't get attacked by their pits for years until one day out of the blue is because pits just have an instinct to only go after their prey once they're weak enough to take down.

It's really depressing that the owner doesn't even know their own dog well enough to not do that.

One of my kids (NT, but an airhead) got in the habit of not listening to me. I finally had had enough. I put him on alert that from that point on I would say things once and he would be responsible for the information whether he heard it or not. I’d say something and a minute later he’d say “huh?” I’d answer, “I said what I said.” At which point he’d freak out or ask his brother to repeat it. Of course, it’s different with an adult, but the principle is the same: “I’m going to say this once, then the responsibility is on you.” Sometimes that means stopping mid sentence and waiting until she puts her phone away. Sometimes it means telling her that I texted her the information and she needs to look it up. Other times it means throwing in something ridiculous like “the day I kissed your mother I picked up four of those at the grocery store.” Life is short. Don’t let people make you repeat yourself.

I looked that breed up and I mean no offense but I do see a slight resemblance particularly in the eyes/muzzle between them and pitbulls. They lack the "ass head" and the gaping maw that is characteristic of pits but otherwise...I could see them getting confused by the average person.

Not that I think any pitbull should be trusted, and I do believe that it truly is the breed...but this would be an interesting topic for a research study. Like if someone were brave enough to go into the homes/observe the lives of several thousands of people who keep pitbulls, and could determine from the data how lack of stimulation correlates with how soon and how violently a pitbull goes on a rampage...that would be interesting.
