1. I used to, but moved away 5 years ago. Miss it every day tho

  2. How does that work? Is it that the state is demanding they use Utah? Or forbidding them to use Salt Lake?

  3. The state is going to build them and the Jazz a new dual use arena as part of a downtown SLC revitalization fund, but one of the stipulations is that the team has to be named after Utah and not Salt Lake City.

  4. That makes sense and probably makes good business sense for the team anyway. That's why both the Coyotes and Cardinals rebranded from Phoenix to Arizona.

  5. For sure, and the precedent is already set with the Jazz being named after Utah. If all the teams in the Twin Cities can carry the state's name, the same can go for Utah.

  6. "According to Judge Juan Merchan, the juror was excused after later expressing doubt that she could remain fair and impartial. In particular, she said that friends and family had already reached out to ask if she was serving on the jury.

  7. Is she afraid of her friends and family? I think she is more worried an innocent verdict will cause her to be outcast by them, we don’t really know though, do we?

  8. True! And don’t get me wrong, I think people are way overhyping Smith. Dude is a tech bro billionaire after all, but he’s undeniably better than Mureulo.

  9. His running of the Jazz has seemed competent, which honestly clears the bar of any of the Coyotes ownership

  10. Utah Ska was another name I’ve seen in previous threads that gets my vote lol

  11. what brewery is this and does it occur every week?

  12. Dual Citizen in St. Paul, third Thursday of every month. You have to get a ticket for it, but the ticket are free

  13. each partner gets the team's score. Example - you win round 1: 8-3. You and your partner each tally 8 points.

  14. I was curious if it was by number of tricks won, someone on Facebook was saying that and it sounded weird to me but I've never played like this before. Appreciate the response!

  15. When is this motherfucker gonna face consequences for his actions?

  16. If they bring back the North Star Cup, we could do the GLI and North Star Cup the same weekend and have the winner of both and the runner up of both play the following weekend. That’d be fun

  17. Dan Campbell wore them as a player.

  18. The literal only good thing to happen to those jerseys

  19. Oh yeah, I forgot he wore those as a rookie during 0-16.

  20. The Wings players themselves insisted on black, though that's hardly the worst thing to happen to that once perfect look.

  21. I was fine with it for a Reverse Retro (although personally wouldn't have gone with black but that's just me), but I hope that's the last we see of it.

  22. I love that weird striped DETROIT sweater, getting a Konstantinov of that (not black) is sort of my Moby Dick

  23. Those are beautiful, I have an autographed Lidstrom one sitting on my wall in my office. Would love to see those as an alt if we ever had one

  24. I don't support abolishing the police but I'm behind abolishing the DEA.

  25. Just got diagnosed with ADHD in December and am currently trying out Vyvanse. Damn, this shit is really solid. You don't really tweak out when you're taking it and it comes on and wears off so gradually that you don't feel like shit. I really like it, and I've lost 15 lbs since January since it's also a binge eating drug.

  26. I think I’m the only one who liked the gray ones haha

  27. I wish they would have kept them and tweaked them to be more silver than grey. Black jersey just looks like a Carolina Panthers jersey

  28. I'm not a fan of the number dots at this point, I'll hold out hope they look better on actual players/on the field. No WCF is a big improvement.

  29. It's been moved to a patch on the back of the helmet

  30. Take a look at the stands at a Wild game and look for the North Star jerseys. Not just the throwbacks, but legit, old NS sweaters.

  31. Having just moved to Minnesota last year, it's Wild (no pun intended) how much North Stars stuff you still see around town, especially considering the Wild have been around nearly as long as them.

  32. I feel like the difference between Utah and a lot of other deep red states ala the Bible Belt is that Utah is conservative, but the Bible Belt is Republican

  33. Very lucky that god told them that black people were okay just in time for them to keep their tax exempt status too, just an amazing coincidence.

  34. And I believe that in 1978 God changed his mind about black people!

  35. Allegedly its been relegated to being a sticker on the back of the helmets. Which I can live with

  36. Is Salt Lake City not a great spot tho? I've only driven through Utah (the desert part) briefly and thought it was one of the coolest places I've ever seen

  37. I think it's fun, but I'm a middle class white guy in his 20s who likes to ski.

  38. Excellent! Did they repeal the Zion Curtain as well?

  39. They did, I was in SLC last month and they had gotten rid of them

  40. I've felt for a long time that Whitmer is the most viable Democrat to make the next presidential run. Other person that feels like they are being groomed for a shot at the nomination is Pete Buttigieg.

  41. I don’t get this obsession with Pete, because like Abrams he loses all of his elections.

  42. I mean he won in Iowa in 2020 and took second in New Hampshire before dropping out after only winning Mayoral elections before. That's pretty incredible given his aforementioned lack of political experience. Now he's in the cabinet and has a residence in Michigan, where he has a lot more of a political future than he did before his presidential run

  43. There are few things more boring to me than watching baseball on TV. Not ripping on the sport or its fans, but it's just not for me.

  44. So I’m confused, with their move, are they gonna change their whole name and logo etc? Or will it still be the Coyotes just the Utah Coyotes.

  45. Sounds like they're getting Cleveland Browns-ed. The name will stay in Arizona, and they'll theoretically be getting an expansion franchise next round of expansion. Meanwhile the original franchise will have moved to Utah with a new name and branding.

  46. Or like the Winnipeg Jets, currently now the ARZ Coyotes

  47. IIRC it wasn't a guarantee the Jets 2.0 would get the name back (the NHL owned the intellectual property and branding), whereas the Coyotes name will stay with Meruelo in Arizona

  48. In hindsight, that was a dad buying his kid a shiny toy to avoid telling him that he's leaving his mom. A distraction to the real issue, but it makes the kid happy and excited at the time. He pushed the chips in wayyy too early. Gave up 7th overall, was asked about his team having playoff expectations, and avoided the question. Why give up that much without thinking you're gonna make the playoffs??

  49. The summer of Pierre why I'm not mad that the Wings haven't gone all in yet. Our rebuild is going slow as hell, but I'm really hoping it will bear fruit in the long run vs rushing it and making things worse

  50. You're probably in the playoffs if Larkin didn't get injured during the season. Detroit just needs some adjustments to goaltending and defense and they'll be good to go

  51. Agreed. I'm not huge on Lalonde as a coach either, but I will acknowledge he's probably done enough to keep his job.

  52. I mean that’s literally what it’s for, it was created to make fun of the morons on

  53. Yeah, but at this point, it’s just kind of generally turned into complaining about chuds in all fandoms. I had to unsubscribe, I was there to laugh at stupid Star Wars posts I don’t give a shit about some idiot on Twitter bitching about Steven universe

  54. How long until Ohio State Man becomes an actual term?

  55. Not even saying this to be a dick, but every time I hear the term Ohio State Man, I think of

  56. Roll call, who here has a vested interest in the outcome of tonight's games? Wings fan checking in, LGRW!

  57. LGRW! Nice to be caring about hockey this late in the season again

  58. why do people like this drive five hours north to secluded lakes in northern MN????

  59. Well cuz all the good lakes near the Twin Cities ain't secluded brother!

  60. I have a hunch it’s going to be EXTREMELY difficult to even get within a couple miles of downtown by 4p if that’s your plan. It’s going to be 300,000+ people. WWJ has a good article with maps of where to park and take shuttles in. I’ve been wondering how far out will things get blocked up with impassable traffic. Will it be gridlocked by noon? Not sure what to expect but I think it’s gonna be nuts.

  61. That's my concern, I'm touring wedding venues in the morning so I'm worried I'm SOL tryna get down there after.

  62. Yeah, we would never do anything like that if this was a rival. We are better than everyone
