1. I’ve had my 22 for about 2 weeks now and I honestly really like how the rear looks in person.

  2. I've been driving turbo Subarus and some NA Subarus for .. about 18 years now. I've never had a major mechanical failure of any kind.

  3. Same, I’ve been in a WRX since 2005 and have never had any significant issues.

  4. I paid just under $900 for all windows and clear film on the windshield on my 18 STI. It was an IR series nanoceramic film and it was worth every single penny. I now live in El Paso so I definitely feel your struggle. I kept my temp at low and fan speed at either the lowest or second to lowest notch and I was very comfortable in the summer.

  5. This is legit one of the biggest reasons I went STI vs WRX for my VA - the hydraulic steering is incredible. Steering feel and feedback are so important. It’s sad to hear that there is even less feel and feedback in the new electric steering setup on the VB. Dang.

  6. It was also one of the big reasons I made the same decision in my VA. I traded it in a week before they announced no more ICE STIs and nearly immediately regretted the decision.

  7. I’m sorry man. I hope the new car is awesome for you otherwise though! Sounds like you’re happy with it!

  8. That’s showbiz baby, I rolled the dice when the dealer started offering me almost what I paid for it three years later. Love the new car so far and my kids are beyond excited to go for rides.

  9. Congrats. I was second-guessing my color choice while waiting for it to show up, but WRB looks amazing on this car.

  10. Thank you, my 13 was WRB and it was hands down my favorite color of all of my WRXs, I like the sapphire blue they had on the lot but I knew I’d love the WR.

  11. It was pretty easy, I went to the dealer with all of the numbers and inbound car that I wanted. They agreed with $1k over my expected trade in, the car showed up on the truck this morning. A couple of signatures and we were out the door.

  12. I had 18% on my 13 and it was a little too dark at night for me. I had 30% ceramic in my 18 and it was perfect for me. Will probably go 30% all around again when the 22 gets here.

  13. I did work on a guy’s driveway who was EOD in the army. He was an eccentric dude. My take away is that you have to possess equal parts intelligence, balls and batshit craziness to do that job.

  14. Was Army EOD for just shy of seven years and can confirm there’s some smart and crazy folks in the field.

  15. Holster arrived mid December, ordered the CS 26NOV when it was a 60-90 day, hopefully only a couple of more weeks.

  16. The lack of support when it comes to replacement parts.

  17. My side skirt was ripped off by something that snagged it in the road. Super frustrating but luckily just an unpainted plastic piece. Should be easy to get right?

  18. Man I just hit 12 years in. I don’t have to do morning pt anymore but I still lift and cycle almost daily. I absolutely despise running and only do it to maintain passable 2 mile.

  19. If he would’ve had a lighter bice he could’ve broken 24km/h easily.

  20. One of my instructors at NAVSCOLEOD once told us that it was our life and if someone was doing something dangerous, against safety protocols, etc, it was better to keep ourselves alive than go along with it and die.

  21. My time in EOD really helped me feel comfortable speaking up to superiors when something didn’t feel right. During a normal work day I’d usually get hit with “check down, not up”, but me questioning decisions absolutely saved some major heartache on calls.

  22. As a pilot in a two pilot aircraft, I think this is a terrible idea.

  23. As a pilot in a single pilot aircraft who operates under regulation and SOP that we will always fly two pilot, I also think this is a terrible idea.

  24. It sounds to me like you went on a three hour drive to clear your head and stopped for a burger. Maybe it was something you didn’t realize you needed.

  25. /uc The number of people I see on other cycling subreddits who honestly suggest packing heat to deal with aggressive drivers is...disturbing. America is sick in the head.

  26. /uc I would be considered a gun nut by some, I live in TX, and I also enjoy cycling; there’s no fucking way I’m carrying while on a ride. I also can’t imagine open carrying at anytime outside of being in the wilderness.

  27. We give our kids “coffee” in the morning. It’s just a small cup of hot chocolate.

  28. Ruin my KOM and I’ll ruin your status as a respectable father figure in your own house.
